Recipe:
Pound cake:
8 ounces chopped semisweet chocolate
1 cup sugar
1 stick of butter
8 ounces of sour cream
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 cup AP flour
Chopped pecans
Caramel:
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup corn syrup
3/4 cup sugar
3 tbs of heavy cream
3 tbs of butter
Pinch of salt
1 Tsp salt
Procedure:
Preheat the oven to 325F.
Spray a Bundt pan with Bakers Joy.
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler and allow to cool slightly
Cream the butter and sugar. Then add the eggs and vanilla extract.
Then add the melted chocolate into the wet mixture.
Combine all dry ingredients into a bowl and stir.
Slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients mixing until combined.
Pour the cake batter into the Bundt pan.
Bake for 45 minutes or until the sides pull away and a knife comes out clean.
Caramel:
Add all of the ingredients into a saucepan on medium-high heat.
Stir once.
Allow the sugar to melt until an amber brown color appears.
Then remove the pan from the heat and add in the heavy cream and butter. Be careful as the caramel will bubble up.
Continue to stir until the butter has melted all the way and then add your salt and vanilla.
Set aside to cool.
Assembly:
Adorn the cake with the caramel and nuts. Slide and enjoy.

You’re missing ONE key ingredient from your rice crispy treats.
มุมมอง 1.8Kหลายเดือนก่อน
DISCLAIMER between 3:12-3:30 the music is a bit loud unfortunately. This is due to the lack of caffeine in my system and late night editing. In that moment I’m talking about using two different utensils whenever I make rice crispies. Using two makes assembly far less “sticky”. I’ve been making my rice crispy treats with SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK for years! This one ingredient changes the game fo...

You dont wash your lemons??
Plse tell us what u are putting into your muxer
Great review!
Thank you for watching!!
I want a slice of cake....
It was soooo tasty!!!
Did not list sugar on recipe, only mentioned in video
Oh!! Thank you for spotting that! I’ve corrected the recipe.
that looks sooooo yummy
It was!!!!! It was so moist!! I loved it.
@ looks like it was
I’ve had that same problem with Baker Joy. I love that stuff but hate wasting my money and only being able to use half the can because of the same problem. I reached out to them to make them aware. Hopefully they fix that problem.
🫶🏾🍋🍋💛💛🙌🏾
We love lemon over here!!
This is not a secret or new southern cooks did this in the 1940s also get some box cake lemon add pudding 1stick butter few tsp sour cream lemon sest buttermilk lemon juice 3eggs1egg yolk nice demo though .😮
I found the background music to loud and distracting. The recipe looks great.
I agree with you! I can’t do much adjusting after posting, but I did write a disclaimer in the description. Thank you for watching through the loud music! 😊
Good job!!! I used to work in a bakery, we made our own puff pastry, which was a very long lamination process. We never made Kouign Ammon though, but you have inspired me, so now I have to try!!!! I love you giving the history on foods! Very nice touch!
Omg! Lamination takes so long, but it’s so worth it. I love the process and I try to make something new all the time. I ended up making those twice and the second time was much easier. Yay!!! I’m glad you love the history. I’m not sure how people feel about it, so it’s good to know that someone likes it! 😊😊
I tried these and the almond extract gave it a "wedding cake" type flavor. So so good! Anytime we would get snow cones in the summer, my daughter and I always ordered the wedding cake flavor. So now these are out new favorite cookies!!!!!! Thank you for a wonderful recipe!!!
Yes!!!! The almond extract takes the cookies up a notch. I couldn’t figure out why regular sugar cookies tasted differently than bakery cookies and then I started playing around with extracts!
@@jevaydanielle_ I am so glad you figured that out because the taste is amazing!!!!!
I agree with you, there is nothing in the world like a good pound cake! Yours look absolutely amazing!!! Thanks for the recipe! I am definitely trying this!!!
Please let me know how it turns out!!!
Love this
Thank you!!! And thanks for watching!
You don't wash your lemon 😮
Nope 😊😊🍋🍋
Looks good ❤
Thank you!! And thanks for watching!
Wow what’s with the intensely loud music ??? That wasn’t pleasant at all.
Hey! I wrote a disclaimer about that. It happens at the 3 minute mark. The rest of the video is fine though.
I cannot wait to try this recipe. The cookies look delicious.
They absolutely are!!! Thanks for watching. Let me know how they turn out.
I always use salted too lol My mama always did when I was growing up and I honestly can’t taste the difference between stuff made with salted/unsalted butter! ❤
Agreed!! I have never tasted the difference between the two. Perhaps I’m still developing my palate, but as of right now there’s no difference.
That cookie looks as good as you
Thank you!! I appreciate that.
I feel like I'm in your kitchen with you! Liked and subscribed 👍
Yyyyesss!!! Love this! Thank you so much!
Lovely recipe! But you might want to re-upload this video. At about 3:12 some really loud and annoying music starts and drowns you out till about 3:31. Over all, your music volume is just a bit high. It's covering your voice instead of being in the background.
Thank you so much for this feedback! This is what happens when you’re editing super late at night lol
Loved the video! One suggestion, turn the music down a little bit? It’s hard to hear you in some parts. ❤️
Yes I can! Thank you for this feedback. 🥰
Come on Brown Butter Rice Krispy Treat!!
They are really good!!! I need to make more!
Such delicious looking cinnamon rolls! Perfect for fall.
Love that ❤
It’s so good!!!!
Needs pecans!
They’re in there! I prefer pecans to any other nut in banana bread. The flavor is superior.
awesome
Ewww
Mmmmm 😋
Thanks for the review.
Just enjoyed cooking with complete ingredients that turns into very nice flavored and yummy presented nicely watching from Philippines thanks for sharing..
Wow!! Thank you so much! What’s a bake that you’d love to see next??
What dessert should I do next?!
Lemon meringue pie!!
Thanks for the review. I'm booking right now!
It’s well worth the stay!! I really enjoyed my time there.
Swiss rolls are so great, and your mention of the bouche de noel reminded me that I think I want to try making one of those this coming christmas! Great video!
I love those for Christmas! The problem is that once I make one I don’t want to slice into it bc it’s so pretty LOL! Thank you for watching!
“According to my research”😂😂😂
Lol!! It’s a favorite line of mine.
Amazing!!
Thank you! Cheers!

🤤🤤this is one of Damian’s favorite desserts! Now I have to make it 😂
lol!! I love it! I’ll do a cake version as well. That’s my favorite way to eat it.

Crazy informative. Love the video 🤯
Food history is so interesting!! Thanks for checking out the video 💕
Great video, I had no idea there was such a rich history around coffee cake!
Thank you! Almost everything that we consume has such an intriguing history and I’m here to uncover it! 😊
Looks fantastic the icing looks aesthetic
Thank you! The icing came out perfect this time! 😊
Yes, these are former latam a350s that latam retired and sold to delta. Delta has pretty much just put some makeup on an outdated seat to make it look better than it really is. Great video!
Wow! I didn’t know that! I wasn’t a huge fan of the seats. I like the look but they aren’t as comfortable. Overall it’s a nice plane though. Thanks for watching!
Was it worth it I’m flying to Madrid and wasn’t sure about it but your video makes it look really nice
I would say yes. I’m not sure where you’re flying from but if you can fall asleep like I can you’ll appreciate the extended seat recline. However, this greatly depends on the price. I’ve seen astronomical prices for premium select. I would not splurge if it’s over $1200-$1400.
@@jevaydanielle_ I’m flying from Detroit to Paris and one connecting flight from their for 2 hrs to Madrid and it’s round trip so it’ll be the opposite when I leave It would be $1700 I flown economy a lot extra leg room seat to Europe it’s never the most comfortable but I had seen your video and thought it looked really nice I’m 6,2 so i was wondering is it really good and if I should upgrade was the food the same as economy?
I would also be in the same exact seat your in I believe
(I apologize for just seeing this) in that case, I would absolutely do it! Yes the food was the same, however, there was a better presentation and real cutlery. You get a small appetizer and better drink service. You also receive a menu.
@@Bandman.908 your height alone tells me that you should make the purchase. I’m 5’0 and I had so much room.
Raisins are good, lol!!
