Everything Birmingham builds is out of date by the time it’s finished and has to be pulled down after forty years. Shame they didn’t have more vision.

Who are these skyscrapers for exactly? Birmingham needs affordable housing, not some developer-led follies in the sky. All these will do is create an eyesore from a distance and a cold hostile environment at street level.

Birmingham got the BT tower which was the tallest building & because of communication signals no other buildings were allowed to be taller, this has all been now rectified & the green light has been given to reach for the sky, now there will be e revolution in skyscrapers & Birmingham will resemble manhaton or Chicago. I do like the tall buildings & loved the skyline during a recent trip the smoke, of course Birmingham cant compete with london but eventually it will leave Manchester way behind, i really like visiting Birmingham, something it oozes with that Manchester lacks, i dont hate Manchester, i love the whole of Britain, its just Birmingham love, its unparalleled. ❤.

I’d travel thru Denver over the years, and in September, 1982, my first time in Denver, the 3 tallest buildings were being built, with the Republic Tower about 2/3 up. The Cash Register Building, and Century Link Towers, were topped out and under construction.

_The skyline view here in ATL is great, but we have like 3 seperate ones Downtown, Midtown & Buckhead. It definitely could be much better just like anywhere else could. Atlanta definitely has the funds and so much potential.. I'd be nice to see atleast 16 more big ones built yes 16 each 800ft-1,700ft tall & 12 more med sized mixed use buildings 300-600ft to fill in the gaps between Downtown/Midtown & the large gap from Midtown up to Buckhead has no big buildings. Also over on the west side north of the Benz stadium where it's just lacking buildings could use some _*_(hopefully Centennial yards go as planned)._*_ Atlanta would the officially be a top 3 city in the US _*_(going off tallest US buildings & looks)_*

the definition of a skyscraper is a building over 150 meters. Manchester is decades ahead of Birmingham in that realm. Manchester has 200meters deans gate square ,183 meter trinity island and 169 meter. 154 meter the blade and cylinder.150 meter colliders yard. in total Manchester has 8 skyscrapers above 150 meters already constructed and a further 6 skyscrapers above 150 meters currently under construction

The stratosphere tower is not generally considered a “building” since the majority of its height is not made up of usable floors.

Why do people think these vile skyscrapers in birmingham are good?? They are such an eyesore that octogan building in birmingham looks like a giant cigarette its vile. Also whats with all these stupid comparisons and competitions with manchester? A race to see who can build the most bland high rise flats? Absolutley stupid... the last good buildings built in birmingham and manchester were built in the 50s with the acception of a few from the 60s and 70s ever since then its just heaps and heaps of ugly crap.. such a shame

That's a nice one. What is that like a sea shell by the sea shore? So many mirrors I bet you can see your image in that one. Crystal is it? Probably at night with the moon you can really see the whole place lit up. That's a work of art, probably that new electronic money helped build that one. Those computers have caused a real boom in building these beautiful works of art all over England and Asia and Dubai and producing lots of new money that has benefited the world so much. Austin is on a roll. Has gone from almost no tall buildings 30 years ago to a pretty dense forest now, going taller and taller. It is kind of shocking.
