About the association between a person and their profile: the opposite happened to me, one of my childhood friends has always used Brook (from one piece) as his profile pic. When I tried reading the manga my brain would always imagine Brook's lines sounding exactly like this one friend.

This honestly sounds like my older brother. He's been a huge narcisist and has been an asshole towards me my whole life. He always thinks he's better than most people, always deflecting criticism and lashes out whenever the consequences of actions get him in trouble. He acts like he's a tough dude bro gangster, but in reality he's just an oversized toddler. He has hurt me physically and psychologically several times. Always threatening to assault me and sometimes straight up did, make me feel insecure about myself through insults, also sexual harrasing me by making weird comments and slapping my ass "as a joke." I always tried to tell him to stop and forgive him for these things, but he would not change. I've even had other people come up to me and tell me how much of an asshole my older brother is! But one day, after he threatened to beat me up for the billionth time, he broke my bedroom door and that pissed me off so hard I threatened to kill him (which I regret doing). This resulted in only ME getting punished by mom, not him, who started it! Which i understand threating to kill someone is bad, but he got of scott free! His only punishment was a stern talking and thats it! I got my phone taken away! That was the moment I realized he was never going to change. After that, I refused to talk to him, haven't been friendly towards him for over 2 years now, and I don't care how many times my mom or other family members tell me to be cordial with him or whatever, its over. If he dies I'm not showing up to his funeral!

I like your insight and the weight you put upon understanding. I think it's incredibly important to have a mindset such as this. There is a quote from Dune that I really like that I use as a system to understand people and where their morality lies. It goes: "respect for the truth comes close to being the basis for all morality... This becomes profound thinking when you realize how unstable 'the truth' can be". Family will send some flowery texts misleading their intentions and the truth and urge you to do things for them "because that's what family does" while twisting their knife in it simultaneously and it disgusts me. There is no rationality or reasoning to be had with some of these ppl either simply because they don't have the capacity for it. Ignorance is fucking bliss and hell's favorite contributors are those who think like this. I'm sorry you had to deal with such a nasty case. It's especially unfortunate if it is someone you have to interact with frequently, as the obvious solution is just distancing yourself ofc. I'm glad I can distance myself mostly from this family manipulator of mine but I hope you can do the same for your case.

For me im still questioning my identity. I'm a cis girl, but sometimes i think that i might be a transman due to me always like masculine things and relating to men more, but also i don't actually want to transition. Im ok with just wearing masculine clothes. But other times I do like femenine things and clothes, I just hate it when it forced upon me everyday. Idk. I don't think about it a lot so just I slap the genderfluid label onto myself and call it a day. Maybe one day I'll figure it out but for now im pretty cool with the way i am now.
