Thank you guys for stating what a disgrace Hobbs is and will be remembered as. It still amazes me how people can just blow it off as just another Rutgers mess up. We needed an experienced and formidable Big Man... didn't happen. That was an epic fail and, in my opinion, was the #1 reason for our current situation. The biggest takeaway from last night is that they played good defense. Im old school, love the physical defense that the NBA ussd to play in the 80's and 90's. Thats what a typical Steve Pikell team looks like

Rutgers did not strike out on every 4 star recruit in the 2025 class . They got 2 composite 4 starts in Lino Mark and Chris Nwuli and a top 30 class. Saying they chose to go to Rutgers because they didn’t even have any options is completely false. Both of them got offers from every power 5 conference.

Id rather watch Pikel's reaction from the unemployment line. Both he and Coquese Washington have arguably 3 of the best players in school history and they've just wasted their talants. I hope everyone has gotten their money's worth this year because this school is NEVER getting talent like these players again . Dillan and Ace are going to the league and because Coquese is such a loser and can't coach, Kiyomi McMiler is going into the portal.

've been watching Rutgers Basketball since 1968 at the Barn, New Brunswick, long before the 75-76 undefeated Tom Young - Phil Sellers Team. I think Steve P was a great hire - I view as one of the best coaches in America - Football should have such a coach who did something from nothing at Stoney Brook. But I tire so much watching Rutgers and many other teams today prancing down the court not really dribbling - almost like pushing the ball side-ways with their hands which is a split second slower dribble? Why? Do the players need more time to think how to do the next play? I think the most successful teams dribble in a crisp, fast up and down way like we did as children. Why does Rutgers (some players) think they have to carry the ball? Is this taught in high school? Why do refs not call palming the ball like they called decades ago - this looks lazy.

The most animated I have seen Coach in the first few minutes of this game. Awful defense, bad execution on offense and no energy. That spells doom. Interesting comments on Dylan Grants future playing time. Has to be more consistent in practice and "don't go on vacation." Wonder if that was just a satirical comment or based on his practice performance in the past.

Even with TWO first round draft choices, Rutgers will fail to make the NCAA. Not even the NIT. A wasted season of historic proportions.

1st I'm a Shiano Fan. I LIKE His Evaluation Process AFTER The Season. However, without looking too Hard - He Cost RU - 4 Games this Season. MAYBE, He needs an Asst. HC I. His Ear !!! Seriously, He makes Great Changes After the Season. He NEEDS TO Learn how to make Excellent Changes during and b4 the Next Game. He is a Great Position Coach. One of the Best. However, Review his time At O-State. He learned how to Recruit better and other Skills. His Glaring Weakness was as a CO Defensive Coordinator. Learn, Move Forward and Get a Great Defensive Coordinator RU- Seriously Needs One. A Fair, ok season, very underwhelming. Good considering the injuries n Experience the New Guys got. fair.

If you told me RU would score 41 points, I would have felt pretty darn good about grabbing a W. Unlike a Schiano D to cost the team.

I like Coach Schiano however it is the fault of the coaches that the team came back in them. The coaches stopped coaching and the players responded by stopped playing. Greg wants to win but he does not understand that you cannot allow a massive shift in momentum like that. Kansas State continued playing and Rutgers stopped playing because they thought the game was over with the commanding lead and they stopped coaching. Go Blue.

Progress next season should be measured by whether RU can get a signature win. The good news is that its much more difficult to build a good offense than it is to build a good defense. What I saw in the last 4 games and for most of yesterday's game was a good offense. If Rutgers can continue to land plug-in defenders from the portal, we can hang. Speed is another issue. You can't teach it.

Brian Anderson said RU was more fun to watch this year since Athan and the receivers were best RU has had in years. The sad fact is the defense fell part....which we know is Schiano's strength over the years. We lost the linebacker coach...and now the DC....along with all the injuries. Fortunately the Portal does allow you to fill needs quicker than prior years. Regarding a signature win, either Anderson or Mike Broadbent said RU will be more able to pull an upset next year since the offense is setting up to be more versatile with CJ Campbell, a healthy tight end or two, and all the receivers returning. With a tougher schedule next year...and Kyle M gone...Schiano needs to let Kirk do his thing....and let special teams return punts !!

Look, Princeton's not a bad team but you need to win games like this. You have good players, Jeremiah, Derkack, the freshmen dynamic duo, some big bodies, but ARE YOU BLIND COACH??? You have to stop pandering to the 1-and-done guys ok its ugly basketball out there.. spread the ball around better & stop making poor shot decisions. Yer rebounding and post defense sucks, try different lineups and get someone or some combo out there whos willing to fight for rebounds. Stop playin pickup and get this team playing like a team.

Does anyone think they know more about coaching, recruiting and building a culture of excellence than Greg schiano does ? We are making progress and the setbacks hurt but look at the transfer portal and see how few players Rutgers loses each year that played a significant role. That is a source of pride even in dark times

Anyone who saw the Shea or Ash eras knows how great a coach Schiano is to make Rutgers competitive in the Big Ten. Realistically, Rutgers should be in the BIg East Conference, not the Big Ten. Rutgers just doesn't have a Big Ten fan base to make it work.
