October 25, 2024 Mail call from Viejo....
I've been talking with Walter about wad cutters recently asking his opinions on one for little 357. I've never cast or loaded and wad cutters before but watched my brother load some up when he was shooting combat shoots back in the 70's when he was a reserve police officer. I have a few of the ones he gave me before he passed and didn't want to shoot them, so I wanted to relive some of my memories. I told Walter that I would stash away some money and probably buy the Lee 143gr 2 cavity version when I had saved up enough. A few days later he sent me a message telling me not to buy one just yet and that I had a package on the way. He is too generous!!! Thank you so very much Walter!!! I love it and really appreciate the gift so very much!!!!

My little twist on a quick mount for powder measures. Using my home made powder measure stand I use the Lee 90094 1 1/2-12 Breech Lock UPDATE KIT. I want to thank Viejo(Walter) for bringing this to my attention... I had no idea that this even existed until I saw his video. This has been needed for a looong time. Once you got the powder measure installed and had to move it it was one giant PITA! That skinny knurled ring simply wasn't large enough for a grown persons fingers to unscrew the powder measure. I can not think of a printable plastic the would be flexible enough to get into the drum and still be durable enough to last very long IMHO. Let me know if this works for you or not.

Yes, it is a conduit wrench. I got a set off amazon awhile back... it was less expensive the home depot at the time.

I know that Lee has them in stock. Not too sure about the other web sites... besides Lee has lowered their shipping costs on small orders so it doesn't hurt so much. The micrometers are in stock at at Titan Reloading ... I think the price was $14.99 plus like $5 shipping. Midway has them for $17.99 in stock plus shipping. Grafs and Midsouth also have them in stock.

@@papasplace2 I'm getting along okay. Recovery is slow but the doctor says I'm progressing well and is happy with the range of motion so far. The knee is still sore (as expected) so I can't do much and I'm bored but i have to count my blessings and learn to relax.
They look nice and at a Lee price. 👍 Not sure if they are faster than a dummy round that already confirmed a plunk test but it’s much better than the aluminum stem. Might try one when they sell at midway.
When using this there is no need for dummy rounds. Once you have the setting it is very repeatable. Not having to keep track of dummy rounds saves space and time. It just works for me!

Thanks I saw some one pasted in a forum about the release of the prototypes for handgun version... I jumped all over it... they were only $15 ea plus shipping and they sold out very quickly. The production ones are now $20 ea plus shipping ... still a great bargin!
I got 2 of them from the first inventory... Have not had time to do a video yet. They do work great. There are 2 flats on the side so you can tighten it up in the die. When you tighten it up it take out all wiggle in the micrometer.
