Ironically,NJT,has built,and extended other trolley,or now,Light Rail lines,in other parts of the state! No body learns from others mistakes and miscalculations! Bahamas is my absolute favourite steam locomotive, im even a member of the Bahamas Locomotive Society so regularly support the society. When she returned to the mainline in 2019 I managed to get tickets for her inaugural railtour aswell as the second which both ran from Oxenhope to Carlisle via the Settle and Carlisle Line. These trips went under the name "The Bahamas Renaissance" and "The Bahamas Renaissance II".

I love the attention to detail that the fireman chooses the precise pieces of coal for the fire that he wants. Skills that don't age. Hand picked coal. Beautiful.

You know...I've noticed a slight trend here...the videos of this series, as well as 2 volumes of another with the same voice over, all seem to mostly show footage mostly focused on Birmingham Snow Hill and New Street, you guys notice it too right?

Correction - after nationalisation the Great Central was taken into the LNER not the LMS which came in later when the line was run down prior to closure

This One The Romney Hythe And Dymchurch Light Railway Was Opened In 1927 95 Years Ago And It Was Opened By Captain Jack Howey. Thanks A Lot Mate. X

1:28 I've Been On The Bluebell Railway In East Sussex In England Last Year Back In December 2022 Around Christmas Time And It Was Super Awesome Branch Line Railway Ever Built. This Famous Tourist Attraction The Bluebell Railway Was Opened In 1882 140 Years Ago From The London Brighton And South Coast Railway And When The Southern Railway And British Railways Took It Over In Between 1923 100 Years Ago And 1948 That's 75 Years Ago Too. This was just a normal day at Donny or York for young spotters like me in the 50’s, 60’s. Never to return, just left in my head. I have a small allocation of A3’s, modified with double chimney and German blinkers off course. The epitome of an express engine. Still know all names and numbers from 60001 to 60163. Thank you so much for this wonderful film👍

Im a little disappointed that the history was not properly researched. Mallard acieved a record of 126 1/4 MPH not 128MPH. this historical fact should be known by most people. obviously we can't be bothered to teach history properly any more

Next year in 2023 will be the flying Scotsman’s 100th birthday celebration and I’m now hoping that no trespassers on the track will spoil the locos big birthday celebrations

Lovely pictures. I still remember the thrill of a distant whistle and waiting for the cylinder beats on Sunday mornings with my Dad just north of Hatfield on the GN.main line. Was that Gamston Bank approaching Retford on almost the opening shot? Loved the little girl being held up by Mum to see 4472!
