Gråkallbanen: Single track operation using "Kletterweiche" Skansen - Bygrensen. Tram 97 with departure 14:00 20.04.2023 from the city terminus St. Olavs gate. Using the left track from Skansen to Bergsli gt, to allow construction work in the street including the right track.

"Nissetrikken" - "Santas Tram" at Gråkallbanen 20.12.2020. This year the vintage cars 29 (1958) and 71 (1951) were used for this event. Departure at 12:00, 13:00, 14:00 and 15:00 from St. Olavs gate. Lian 06.08.2020. This summer the Food Tram has been serving customers at Lian every day from 12:00 to 17:00, including the fantastic Tram Burger! The vintage cars return to the depot each evening at 17:00. Lian Restaurant was serving the food.

Departure 06.57 from Lian is passing Bygrensen on time at 07.12. The new shed at Bygrensen is a copy of the old one, which is the last one of the original type built at Gråkallbanen.

Takk for viden. Never been to Norway and probable would never be but vids from Trondheim tram make me feel comfortable like visiting long lost home. Great to know that the tram still runs in such a beautiful yet distant (from my point off course) place.

why doesn't this tram stop on city public transportation stops? Like on 3:05 I mean
Because if no signal for "on" or "off" are showed, then it is not neccesery to stop ;-)

Hello from Moscow! I'm tram fan, actually I know about Trondheim tram network, it is really cool that Gråkallbanen survive and operates. This line has some simularities with Zlatoust tram system, where also many hills and trams have their own right of way. And how often Gråkallbanen operates retro-trams?
look at 5:30 at the rail swith is this not a wrong switch posistion?
All the points at Gråkallbanen are spring loaded. That means it will always go back to it's original position. It is made like this so you don't need a motor or a system to keep watch over the points and set them either centrally or locally. It also means that the driver has to be careful when passing over, and see that it is correct before driving over it.
