This quick video is only short but I would try something different instead of talking all the time. Let me know in the comments below what you liked or didn't love about this video. The campsite we stayed at was Gillside Campsite www.gillsidecaravanandcampingsite.co.uk/ The site was really nice, and the Facilities were clean and tidy.

มุมมอง 2163 ปีที่แล้ว
This video I'll show you round the trailer and where we are up to with the build. We are now up to the stage where the sides, top and bottom have now been fitted with 3 mm Acrylic plastic and 12mm Plywood.
Trailer Build Expedition trailer #EP5 (Installing the lights)
มุมมอง 1223 ปีที่แล้ว
This Episode we were tasked with finishing off spraying the trailer in bed liner, and installing the LED lights. I went with LED, as I've had many problems in the past with bulbs not working or bad connections when they get wet. LED also draw less power too. I chose Bed liner, as it was more forgiving on the metal, it didn't have to be perfect and it's more durable if the trailer did hit someth...

Today was the task for cutting and riveting the side panels onto the trailer ready to be primed and painted. Once these are on we can then start on the main part of the trailer.

Hey do you think I could slide a double air mattress in here and it would fit? Thankyou
But what do you do with your stuff if 2 people sleep? If I'm traveling, I don't feel comfortable leaving them outside
what size fuse do you have protecting it
Hi friend, we are a manufacturer of LED Lights and we currently launch a strip light for outdoor camping. Has the following advantages: *1. Durable design:* Shell-wrapped, the lamp body is recyclable *2. Cost-Effective:* The durability and multifunctionality provide long-term savings. *3. Waterproof protection:* The product has excellent waterproof and protective effects, suitable for various outdoor conditions, ensuring safe and durable use. *4. Versatility:* Our tape measure light is not only a lighting tool, but also can change color through sound effects, and the tape has scales and can be used as a ruler. *5. Excellent brightness:* Our product has higher brightness and clear lumen parameters, while ordinary light strings usually cannot provide the same brightness.
hey nice too see you back great video
Hey, thanks! It's been a while but yeah trying to get some videos in while I can.
John was right about it getting cold, glad we had the firepit!
How brilliant is that ! Video saved for future reference. Thank you ! From India
How long is the sleeping space?
I'm about 5"11 and I just about fit in. It's a tight squeeze with 2 people.
Hi are your using stock jimny alternator or any other alternator to charge both battrrys??
hi, did you upgrade the alternator?
No
This makes a lot sense to me , as long as you enter slowly into water
Any good for bouncy bouncy. ???
Can two persons sleep in side jimmy?
Yes
Interesting video. What a great bunch Storm are for taking time to explain the work being done.
I must visit Kielder with the Freelander 2. If I remember correctly it's a 12-13 mile drive through the forest.
What tyre size are installed?
Where can I buy this

Can't 40mm lift be achieved just with struts spacer?
Did you get a solar panel yet? It would be great to be able to charge the aux battery charged by solar panel when camping for days.
Yes eventually I'll get some portable solar panels too
Hi, great channel. Picking up my Jimmy next month. Do the tyres rub at all? And how is the drive does it feel slower or is the steering effected? Thanks
Hi Michael. No They don't rub. Only if you go up to 235/75. I've nly got up to 215/75
Nice one Mat 👍
ρяσмσѕм 😀
Damm a lot gear on small truck. Love them jimnys. Maybe a bit overweight!
Yeah maybe just a little... Great fun though on and off road.
What tent is that you have on the Jimny, do you know what weight? How stable is it when driving? Do you have a lift kit installed?
Hi Tim, it's the hannibal 1.2 tent. Not sure on weight. Yes the jimny has a 2" OME life kit with a 10mm space in the back. Handles okay but it a little heavy.
What a cracking vid bud loved it 👌
Thanks mate. Thinking of heading up to dumfries 21st 22nd 23rd October if you fancy it?
Thats cool mate was a cracking wk end for sure, could of easily stayed a few more days looking forward to the nx one 👍
You did well. I bent two bars trying to undue mine and gave up in the end. Still got 3 amigos. after changing sensor cables, thinking shuttle valve next. Or i'll have to get the hubs changed. But the hubs seemed ok and all was well before I had to change the steering joints. So it must be a delicate system :-(
Great video. About to do Gatescarth soon. Did your Jimny have any underbody protection?. Do you think it’s necessary? I have a 2 inch lift and AT tyres like yours.
Yes I did. I had a front diff guard and transfer case guard. Plus a few others. We are heading up in July to do it again hopefully. You'll be fine. As long as your okay with heights and you keep on going and don't stop. As momentum is your key.
Hi Buddy, I have a question on the rear 3 point seatbelt on this Jimny for my passenger. So you got to buckle twice at the back right? Assuming i have a passenger seated at the back. However when they unbuckle, theres only 1 side that will unbuckle and the other side remained buckled. Can you advise how to unbuckle it totally so i can keep the entire seatbelt back to the strap by the side and so I can have more space and it wont get in the way when im moving stuff. Appreciate much!
The UK version is slightly different so I wouldn't know sorry
@@northwestoverlander8463 no worries i got it figured. Apparently the key fob is also used to release the buckle.
Nice one Matt 👍
Thanks Simon
Nice one Matt 👍👍
What tyre size do u use? Is it 235/75 R15 ? Org 215/75 ?
215/75
Great video! Did you install a breather for the gear box too?
No only because it was close up tobthe engine bay. I don't plan on going any deeper that that.
@@northwestoverlander8463 Got it! Thanks!!!
Hello mate, I subscribed a few months back and have been keeping an eye for your uploads- grateful for the update! Keep up the good content. I’m heading out from Redcar and doing the NC500, starting 30th march. Wild camping, fishing…. More the merrier!
Hello. Thanks for commenting. Thank very much. Have a great time around the nc500
Nice vid, how did you fit those lights above the bumper, got exactly the same black jimny and I wanna do the same?
I've now fitted the IPF light bar bracket from jimny style.
Morning pal Where would you purchase your Goodrich 215/75/15 tyres from and who would you recommend to fit them ? Many thanks Andrew Newell
Are you looking at All Terrain tyres? I'm running BFG KO2. 215/75 tyres. They are a really good all season tyre great for most Terrain. I use mine as a daily too. If your using it more as a daily they maybe look at the maxxis tyres, or maybe Toyo open country AT tyres.
lol, 40mm is distinctly NOT 2".
I just bought one the only disadvantage so far is that steering wheel maximum height is still too fit for a 6 feet tall person
Yeah it's not great.
Looks like you had a great time guys 👍👍
Not a great video I would have to admit. More of us in the car but still manage to get some videos out of us. Ahha
Hi, do you mind telling me what gauge wire to use to connect the battery with?
16
Hi, I've got a question about the Tmax dual charge system. I've got 2 different charging systems in my vehicle, one is the Tmax (via alternator) and the other one is a solar system, all connected together. Now, sometimes the whole system seems to go crazy, causing the Tmax relay to NON-stop clicking. Now, I was thinking of putting a break switch on the main cable that's connecting the 2 batteries. Do you think that is a good idea? Or maybe I could just put a little swich inline in the blue wire of the Tmax wiring? What would you recommend? Thanks in advance! Samuel
I have a smart alternator so it can drop below 13v and so the relay will trip off. This will stop the AUX battery from charging. If you find that its tripping all the time maybe look into a DC to DC charging system. Depending what size your solar is it could be that its getting confused on how much power is going to each battery.
Seriously you could at least spell OME correctly?
Hi, what is the size of your tires?
215/75/15
Great part 1 Mat 👍
Than Simon. What this space for eps 2 soon.
Very helpful! Thank you for also pointing out where the breather is for the transfer case and gerarbox is. I dont have to worry about that one kow as it is definitely high enough.
I'm pretty sure that's only for the gearbox, transfer case breather is further back. See this vid: th-cam.com/video/moukq1sUSVA/w-d-xo.html
Only just seen this...great day and great job Mat 👍👍
