What CF/M is it?
About 200
Throw a fly into it! And slowmo! ;)
when can you put it in my car
Do you have more information on this build?
The harmonic drive is a HD SHF-14-80-2UJ. Bearings are Timken 6206-2RS. Motor is 24HS40-5004D-E1000., Driver is a CL57T. Headstock is from an X2 Mill and spindle is from a cummins 7x12 lathe. Build Images: imgur.com/a/XWW1Yjb
Hello Jason, thanks for the video - what mill is this?
Sieg X2 clone, more or less. Added some details in description
Looks really great! Looking forward on getting mine
What kind of mill.is that
@@caedenspringer1945 A heavily modified Sieg X2.L i believe
Correct. Added some details in description.

Thanks for the video! So you made a base and an attachment for the column which you link with some angle irons. What did you made the base of? Looks very sturdy. Could you show us more how you did it or how it's designed?
The base was made from steel angle iron, and then filled with chunks of lead and concrete. Aluminum pads were JB welded to the horizontal sections for the feet to rest on and were scraped level to one another, and then shimmed to eliminate soft-foot by putting an indicator on each foot and shimming them until there was no foot deflection when tightening down. The base was originally made for the movable column, which is why the support angle is not ideal. Should be more like 45 degrees, although i think the difference is minimal. The column bracket was fastened to the column with four 3/8 bolts tapped into the cast iron. The column is filled with chunks of lead and self leveling floor compound, which has a low viscosity. The Y-Axis wiring runs through tubing which was embedded in the base. I added a photo album to the description.
@@justinsanemsu Thanks for all the great info! Here in Germany I can only get the sx2l with a tiltable column. So I also need to stabilize the whole machine. Supporting the column via the back with angle irons is a sound idea, and should be easy to be made.
Did you test it with steel? I am curious in buying and converting the same mini mill.
Yes, they can cut steel no problem. Probably need a column support for either the fixed or adjustable columns. I just added a video showing the difference.
Great machine! It is very powerful! th-cam.com/video/gF1Z5xWOLro/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Xia2b15zvpvYl-f8

dude, just go buy a tormach 440
Dude just let hobbyists be hobbyists
This is a lot more fun.
diy?
Started life as an X2 mill. Added the fixed column and large table kits and converted to CNC. So not fully custom, but not something you can buy either.
I wonder if it would be possible to teach a rotifer some juggling tricks. This one has some knack to it

Whats going on with that angle iron where the airspring was?
The base extends about 12" back past the column, and the angle iron connects the base to the column to reinforce it. Makes a large difference. Before adding it, you could fairly easily move the column +- 0.008" in Y just by pushing and pulling on the head. With it, it is a lot stiffer.
Do us a favour and don’t upload more dumb shit like this yeah?
Jason, try raising hands like a surrender?
Surrender works. Needs to see the gun and also have the arms in a threatening pose.
Notes hell. You got Russian Subs on sonar!! Cool, Jason! How about a non-scrolling that just bounces realtime?
This came up recommended and watching it with no context is... strange.
Is that the marshmallow guy from ghostbuster ?
Yep, Stay-Puft Marshmallow man!
We are SO going to win in the weekend paintball fun!!! 😎 Oh! Jason. Can we rename it to "RingDoorbell++"?
That is terrifying.
Great !!! You need to be carefoul with the ghost.... xDDD
very neat
What dispositive are you using ?
None, just filtering by class_id == 0 in the YOLOv8 model
what did you use?
That was cv2 ORB detector. I have since moved on to Yolov8
@@justinsanemsu nice looks accurate. is it just an xml file that you call in you loop (while)?
Are you trying to figure out how many kilometers your hand travels while you're doing you know what ? :D

Very cool, what did you use to capture the guitar signal?
That test was with a generic I2S ADC module feeding an ESP32 and then FFT.
Hay Jason, can it be a camera stabilizer? Mount on top of car and Mr Pointer takes car motions out? Mr SteadyPointer? :P
Can Mr. Pointer distinguish the difference between a federal agent and an average citizen? Asking for a friend of course.
What is it
I am basing this of nothing but gut but it's saying turret to me.
it must be a laser pointer turret that tracks a cat
