Did I miss the Brighton-Tottenham review/grading ??
No, just checked and you’ve completely missed Brighton and Spurs
Fabulous. Thanks again for all your analysis. See you in 2025
Hello Rachel and Sophie. Thank you for the coverage this year. You summed up well again in this video. Happy Christmas and New Year to you and anyone reading this comment. I am starting to think there is more decent quality football than you two can cover by yourselves, especially when decent is turning to good, as your team grades and Championship report implied. Is it time to consider GOTB apprentices, Manchester City style, or squad depth like Chelsea, in your New Year resolutions?
Youre being too nice esp with Gareth Taylor and Mark Skinner...completely useless dudes who failed upwards and both have been given so much leeway to just learn on the job...yikes...look at how different the conversation is around those two vs someone like Stoney or Renee!
Surely makes it all the more impressive that the teams are 2nd and 4th respectively with those two in charge. Scores aren't just for the managers but for the squads as well.
@@GirlsOnTheBall Both the clubs should have aspirations to be so much better, especially with the kind of talent that would want to manage those sides...that's what is more disappointing!
American teams are not part of Fifpro so no NWSL players could vote for themselves or others. Other countries who are not part of Fifpro are Germany and Brazil. So this list is very much suspect and slanted.
For the World 11, I would go (4-3-3-): Berger Bronze, Batlle, Girma, Greenwood Walsh, Stanway, Bonmati Hemp, Rodman, Marta
Another lovely episode Ladies. Keep up good work. Are ladies on bluesky?
Is there any truth in the rumor Naomi Girma is looking at the WSL?
I'll just echo the mug sentiment in the hope that one day you might sell them. Thanks for the video - excellent as always.
We have been thinking about doing some merch for a while - will have a look into it over the winter break!
@@GirlsOnTheBall YES please. Also the little cartoon on the graphic on the title page (for ET)
Hello Rachel and Sophie. Tough to play great football in bad weather, but they gave it a good go. You would think the lower teams would just play kick and hope in weeks when they might benefit from it? Clearly they did not and there were 4 goal deficits here there and everywhere.
Do you sell your GOTB mugs ? . This was a good video
What a great interview! Thank you ladies. And great to see Emma so happy too.
Hello Rachel and Sophie. I bet you loved this. I watch a lot of US videos and the press there seem to be so used to the way they had always covered men's sports with all women's sports as an add on, not specific to football. I hope some of their coverage looks at how Emma's visit is seen here, like on GOTB. Sam Mewis is a notable exception, but she has played here and does include WSL.
We love Emma, fantastic interview. 🇺🇸
Loved it!!!!
she look so happy coaching USWNT
Great get. Great interview.
Can't wait for this one!
Hello Rachel and Sophie. Please Miss. More?
Omg eek so excited 😆 🕺
Chelsea
Time stamps would really help. Great work though 🙌🏻
Ah yes, will look into that sorry.
As always, great analysis!! Keep up the good work, we appreciate you guys !!🇺🇸
I agree with Sophie's take on Man City Feminine, especially on G Taylor solely relying or over-relying upon Bunny and Hempo to score and Yuri with position. Now Hempo is out for 6 to 8 weeks. It looks like it's a matter of time before Yuri and Bunny will be joining her on the bench. 🤕😰. Man City Feminine has no replacement for Yuri, Bunny, or Hempo. This contract dispute between Chloe Kelly, G. Taylor, and Man City Feminine .😠 Hopefully, Steph new role in Man City Feminine Club can resolve this. If she has the pull.
In terms of Spurs, what is going on with Beth England and Martha Thomas? Did Martha agree to leave Manchester United's bench to sit on Spurs' bench??? When Beth was injured last season, Martha started and she scored, but when Beth came back, Martha was relegated to the bench. Martha goes to play for Scotland, and she scores, yet Robert for some reason, can't bring himself to drop Beth England....do you think that this is a major error? Was Martha sold false promises by Robert and Spurs to try to convince her to join??
Managers have their favorites and also they’re bullying some other players
Hello Rachel and Sophie. Good summary. I seem to have managed to keep up with all the stuff you discussed for once, but I recommend the Chelsea videos with their team members, which is now on series 2, to any other neutrals who like to learn more about the players.
Soph in front of a white shirt wearing white top and white hat looks a bit “white”.
Hello Rachel and Sophie. Inspiring, but unless the men's team make it to Premier League it seems the club are playing catch up all the time. Good luck to them as they deserve the praise. As a Bradfordian I know what is like to be from a big city, without that equating to a top level team, as per recent StuntPegg video. I also feel for Doncaster, a city who used to be top for women's football before the money clubs in London got interested.
Another great episode ladies. Keep up the good work. I hope you gals win the FSA Awards.🏆🥇
Hello Rachel and Sophie. A predictable week really, as you predicted.
Loving Sophie's bobble hat. It blends in with the white t shirt in the background and for a split second I thought she was wearing some kind of headdress.
Also to think about with Spurs - they did lose Clinton and Bizet, who were great for them last season. I don't know that much about Spurs - did they replace them?
Thank you for the round up. Where is Kristie Mewis from West Ham?
Thank you
Hello Rachel and Sophie. Is the challenge for the players to get experience or for the national team to get them senior football and turn them into full internationals asap like some in Spain or England's men's teams.
Do you think Aggie beever jones should get a start for England . Why is she not being utilised in the squad 🤔
According to reports, Arsenal was willing to pay a significant transfer fee on Kiera. But why they were not willing to spend money on a right back and a winger? Now you have sition were you have no replacment for Emily Fox.
Palace have come on leaps and bounds since the start of the season. They are definitely more calculated as they are getting used to the WSL.
Why is the England manager not giving Agee a chance?
Hello Rachel and Sophie. Rachel Williams again! Guro Reiten doing her best not to be outshone by JRK. Jess Park again! Nikita Parris again! Aggie Beever Jones needs an England start or a finish, like White and Russo of old. Those U17s need to see a pathway in reality, not just in the write ups. P.S. enjoy the top of Championship Lucy v Ruesha game.
Hello Rachel and Sophie. Thank you for the behind the scenes perspective of a team I have been watching from Euros qualifiers to get so far in this tournament. I also watch US channels and they are changing to bring players in younger, but are more set up for women in college sport's. I wonder what the percentage of women is among the analysts?
Hello Rachel and Sophie. As a kid I would spend hours looking at an FA yearbook. In my own team game I used to be the bloke with the lists. This episode was like you made it just for me. When others are quoting emotional reasons for why something should happen, you would find me commenting that under principles of operational research it could make sense why a club made a decision.
Hello Rachel and Sophie. Great to see the younger players getting coverage and to see you enjoying your trip. It was great that England seniors won and reached finalls, but there needs to be a continuation from that to keep that aspiration going, or risk losing the momentum.
Thank you
Hello Rachel and Sophie. I have commented before that I enjoy watching women's footfall because they do have and show character. Your video filled in the bits the highlights missed, so thank you.
Thank you
First good morning from Soweto
Hello Rachel and Sophie. It sounds great. Enjoy it.
Terrific stuff. Really appreciate Sophie's knowledge on this subject.
Thank you so much for this podcast, so important to shine a light on all the other roles surrounding the game. Amazing work 🤩
