Building Frank - My attempt at making a Frank Sidebottom head, April 2020.
This has taken a lot longer than it should, due mainly to laziness. Obviously lockdown has given most of us a lot more time than we're used to, so I thought I better get my a%$e in gear. I have no idea wheather the sizes are correct, I simply printed lots of pictures of Frank out and did my best. The main construction is paper mache, plasticine and polyester resin. Hope this helps anyone wanting to have a go themselves, you know I do!

A tongue in cheek cover of one of Frank's belters, uploaded to Myspace and the great man replied! RIP Frank/Chris.

It's good but I don't think it's as brilliant as Pete & Dud. But we all have our favourites.

As smart and funny now as it was when I heard it back then. They were a huge influence on the Monty Python group and most of the best comedians since.

Looks spot on, great job on the proportions. What is the name of the song? I recognise the melody from the Mellotron video Paul McCartney does, is it one of yours? It's fantastic!

After Pete and Dud……very little. The same goes for music from that period and much else besides. For the first time ever I hear older people saying they DON’T wish they were younger. Just watch this sketch and you can see why. They would rather have class than crap.

I think there were other good comedy acts in the following decades. But you're right, Cook and Moore were on a level of their own.

Such genius. What a legacy and how much missed they both are. The detail, the timing but above all the magic of two incredibly talented and funny friends enjoying being at the top of their game. Priceless comic gold.

That amazes me too. It's SO accurate... but what's it about? It seems like it might be a Cockney cultural thing as much as some physical impairment. I've encountered _loads_ of working class Londoners with the exact same habit.

I have only just come across this item. Pete was great but Dudley's talent was absolutely immense and never seen since. His comedic ability was only surpassed by his musical abilities. A true loss that will never be made good.
