I just landed on this video and put it on background while working. I have the same leap frog about US History, and that's a fun memory for me, too. I'm not from the US but I used to know all these random tidbits of information about the US presidents because of that toy. 😅

I wasn't intending to buy anything but when I saw the Hiroko Kubota Crescent Moon Delivery Hon A6 on the Hobonichi livestream I was sold because I loved the pictures but the video made it look even better. I love Hiroko's designs I have a cover and a weeks of her previous works, so I guess I'm starting a Hiroko Kubota collection lol.

you mentioned that you don't love the lopsided nature of the hobonichi near the end of the year, so i have some ~unsolicited advice~ hahaha --- the book has such good binding that you can flip some of the bulk from the front all the way around to the back to level out the surface (like for an example: imagine opening to some random page in april and spreading that out as if it were the cover of the book, and then you can open to the page you're working on in september, and now the september spread is balanced because the extra pages from the front of the book are now supporting the back part of the book) -- I hope that makes sense!

I absolutely love the idea of Spotify icon at the top. I put on my Spotify while I’m doing art and often get one or two songs stuck so it would be to add that to my journal too. My brother had a leap pad. I was jealous but they were all a little too young for me.

I had the exact same leappad, it was fantastic. My favorite spread was definitely the one about space - I remember it had a cool little musical bit and it would say "Space: the coolest place!" kid me was obsessed.

I loved this video! Really fun listening and watching you journal! Wow I remember using those leapfrog leappads when I was younger too. Haven't thought about them in so long. 💌
