The quokka apparently is only found on Rottnest island off the coast of Perth Western Australia, they were once common on the mainland but became easy prey from dogs and ats introduced by European settlers, as has been said, they are not Rodents but marsupials closely related tot the Wallaby, the carry their young in pouches.

SO CUTE! I will smuggle a pair into my country, and keep them as adorable pets! If they get too large or exhibit behavior I am not comfortable with, I will simply release them into my local forest so that they may live their lives out with no natural predators to worry about and... ....oh, wait.
