    Really, you are a God fearing person, most of the characters that I have watched you play are the underhanded bad guy. The type of characters that brings the personality scale into emotional feelings, good or bad, this is what makes you a better than good actor.

    This is actually based on Mormon theology, the belief that every universe is run by someone who was also once human. This is also why Mormons believe that Jesus and Satan were brothers, and why the “best Mormons” allegedly end up with their own universe.

    Thank so much you for this livestream, I enjoyed it. However, I've only just discovered that the early access is only valid for Guild-members IN THE US AND CANADA! So now I'm really sad, because I'd been looking forward to this sooo much - at this point it's not at all certain that The Shift will even make it into theaters, here in the Netherlands ... Even though I do understand (some of) the reasoning behind this decision - I think! - it somehow still feels unfair, especially because I've been a Guild-member for quite some time now and have watched and voted on countless Torches. Having also followed (and commented on) the amazing developments of The Shift, right from the early short, can you imagine how much I'd been looking forward to finally seeing the completed product? Since The Shift is all about hanging onto hope, I guess that's what I will do and keep on doing 🙃 Yet, any indication you might be able to give re plans for Dutch theaters and/or access for non-US/Can Guild-members, would be more than gratefully accepted! Don't worry: I'll keep promoting Angel productions, including The Shift, regardless 🙌

      Hey there, I appreciate the spirit in which you left this comment and raised this concern. Obviously, I want everyone to see The Shift, and I wish you could! But, there are a couple factors going into this: 1. The film was completed so recently that translating into other languages for a simulataneous international release just wasn't possible. 2. Our international theatrical release plans are not settled. As such, we need to be careful not to step on those plans we haven't made yet! That's really it, as far as I know. You will get a chance to see The Shift in the not-too-distant future, whether theatrical, on disc, or online. I'm just not sure which will come first for you or when. Thank you so much for your tremendous patience!

      @@brockheasley6125 Thank you so much for this - speedy! - reply! I completely forgot about the translation, since I don't use this myself, but I agree this is an important issue. My remark was mainly spurred on by the discrepancy between your announcement in the livestream and then my discovery that I didn't "qualify" because of where I live. But yes, patience is the keyword here. By now I've seen more than enough trailers and other previews to have been able to decide that this is an amazing movie - and all the BTS's confirm that this is due to excellent writing/directing and acting!

    I think he's a great actor. Here's the thing though: Lucifer is not the devil, or Satan, or a fallen angel or a demon. Lucifer is Helel Ben Shachar, The Morning Star, and nowhere in your Bible does it make mention of him being satan. In fact, look in Revelations 22: to quote Jesus: "I am the root and the offspring of David, and the Bright and Morning Star (translated from Helel Ben Shachar), which is translated as Lucifer in Isaiah 16...the only place the name Lucifer is used in any Bible...which people use to liken Lucifer unto satan, when Isaiah is really just writing about a king of Babylon who THOUGHT he was the Messiah.

    • @helelbenshachar8671
      @helelbenshachar8671 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In fact, instead of, "Oh how thou hast fallen, Lucifer, Son of the Morning," a more accurate translation would be, "You THOUGHT you were the Morning Star..." which is how it IS translated in the New American Readers Version.

    Question for Brock: Are the Kevins that accepted the Benefactors's offer able to shift? I say no, because they are confined to the world they chose. Not really free (false promise/lie). My husband says yes, they were all able to shift, just the one (our Job) was not. We loved the movie, so please solve this debate for us! Thanks so much for an awesome film. We can't wait to see it again!

      Because of that one scene where the Kevin from another world asked him how he got one of the shifters. Then he says “He didn’t give it to me” (referring to the benefactor). Then the other Kevin shoots at the other one before he leaves. So I think he wanted to take the shifter so he could go where we wanted. Just my mindset, idk tho

      Yes, sounds strange, however, he is an actor and does what the role requires, his Christian values stop at doing anything with another woman, he's been married for 20 years. So, I'm pretty sure it's not the kissing onscreen, but a promise that he made to himself to be faithful to his marriage, acting does have limits.

I think Caviezel is mentally ill judging by his qanon connections but right from Band of Brothers on Neal.always impressed me. I'm Catholic like he. I just hope he doesn't spend the rest of his career in this low budget and obviously Christian junk. I go to Mass for my faith. I go to the movies not to watch Caviezel cry for two hours. @@larry1824 I first saw Jim Caviezel in a movie called, "Frequency" with Dennis Quaid, and so my love for the actor began. "The Passion of the Christ" had a phenomenal impact upon me, and he later spoke about his experience in his role as Jesus. You and I are in direct opposition to our opinions of the man. "Low budget Christian junk" "Ponzi scheme" "Angel studios full of shit" "Caviezel mentally ill and crying for two hours." "Actors carrying the full freight." Hey Brock, thanks so much for your insights. I’m a wee bit proud to admit that I felt like I got the significance of The Benefactor saying he couldn’t Shift Daniel back, but my heart broke a bit thinking what he probably went through in the meantime. I think one of my favorite parts of the film is when Kevin is in his neighbor’s apartment and gets rattled, only to find they are also believers. What comfort that must have brought him in that moment … knowing he truly wasn’t ‘alone’ in that world. P.s. I’ve told friends about this movie … and was even moved to recommend it to a complete stranger at the grocery store this past weekend … what an amazing production you and your team have created ❣️❣️❣️❣️

    Neal is a very good actor and was amazing in his part but The Shift became labored, tedious and needlessly complex. It borrowed sci fi multi dimensional elements from the Matrix too much. The Job plot and mortal existence needed to exercise agency theme could have been more to the point and relatable without all the endless dystopian settings.
