I have two tips based on my limited experience with shrimping. One is that you should place the shrimp in a bucket of saltwater for an hour or so to allow them to purge themselves, this eliminates the need to de-vein. Works like a charm. Also, I don't mean to sounds judgmental of the cooking, I'm sure the dish was great, but these shrimp don't need much cooking time at all. I couldn't help but presume that those shrimp may have been cooked a little long on a little high heat. Though I could be entirely wrong. I generally cook mine on a pan for no more then about a minute on each side. It can be easy to overcook them and make them tough so you want minimal cooking. I generally cook mine in the shell so that you can see the color change which helps indicate when they're cooked. Some folks eat them raw and swear by it, and there's some videos here on TH-cam on how to prepare raw spot prawns. I've yet to try this for myself though. Also, and this is another thing I haven't tried, but the heads can be cooked into a hearty stock for making soups and sauces apparently. I felt bad about tossing half of my shrimp overboard and looked into uses and sure enough, you can use the heads for quiet a few things it would seem. Anyways, I loved this video, it was incredibly wholesome and you have a beautiful family there. Best wishes, be well.

honestly the only changes I would make I already did, which were more option add ons. Added a diesel heater, inverter and now a canvas top to keep our heads dry in the rain. Besides that, this boat has been amazing and does everything we wanted. Perfect fit for our family. Economical as well which is great. There are times where we wished there was a transom door for access to the platform but on the flip side we love the security of the tall sides. i may also increase the size of the drain areas when you spray off the deck where it drains to the bilge, but thats it.
