Good noticing. You definitely don't have to - but if you were STUCK, unable to break through a creative block - starting this way is better than not starting at all. Often when people do this, they end up liking it on accident 😂

You do not need to be an "artist" to have a vision or idea that's yours to express. The blank canvas evokes that call to share what's inside of you, whether or not you feel you have the skills to bring it to fruition ON a canvas.
