This is a pretty cool video….. I was disgusted by the growths until you explained it’s all normal😂 Cheers
Interesting to see how Big Chicken has pushed the growth rate of chickens to their limit. If they lived any longer, they would probably die from the hypoxia associated with White Striping Disease.
Honestly the cheap one wasn't too bad. I was surprised to see as much movement as I did. Much more affordable and convenient too. When I buy grocery store probiotics, I instantly put it in the fridge to hopefully extend its shelf life. I suffered from IBS and constipation as a kid and had a horrendous diet with little fermented food besides the occasional yogurt. In 2016 (was this before the trend went mainstream?) I started taking the cheap probiotic pills and found some success in regulating my bowel movements. I had a sinus infection a few years later and had to take antibiotics. I purposely upped my probiotic supplement regimen and began to eat more yogurt to try to seed my gut with good bacteria. It appears to have worked as I feel my gut is the healthiest it has been since my birth. I know this is all speculative and anecdotal, but probiotics do matter. Most people probably don't need to take them daily like me, but they can still be helpful.
Absolutely! Curious how long it took for you to see any benefits and if they stop if you stop taking them?
I'm glad you mentioned the important good bacteria !

Bro could've stopped covid with this video
This is fascinating. Man i would love doing these tests after I've torn down an old dirty bathroom to remodel, after unloading trash at the local dump, after cleaning up rodent droppings or working under someone's house in their crawl space. The micro world is so fascinating
very specific! i might have to go investigate

The kind of agar you use will influence what can grow. Some things are very specific about their environment others not.

🎶On the way to Cape May, I fell in love with you...🎶 ETA as someone from NJ, I've never really noticed the smell. Maybe it's something that I used to.
NJ is a dump..
It's supposed to be the Garden State. Instead it's the Garbage State. There's an old landfill near Deptford, one outside of Swedesboro and one near Mullica Hill. Those are just the ones I'm familiar with. I'm sure there's others.
The Chesapeake bay is even worse
3:30, correction. Plants don’t fix their own bacteria, you mean plants that foster bacteria that produce nitrogen (like beans, etc) vs simple relying on the typical nutrient cycle of other plants.
lol I'm an idiot, thanks for the catch

yup they sure are! unsure of how their herbicides impact soil microbiology, but it probably depends on what the farmers decide to use and how much

If you need to *keep* consuming a probiotic to keep up the levels, then there is something going wrong. A good bacterial colony should be supported by prebiotics, not by continually consuming the probiotic. The probiotic should only be necessary to start the colony, such as when taking an antibiotic has killed a colony. If you have to continually take antibiotics then that is something else going wrong. I would never purchase a product like AG1, but then again, I've never felt that I needed it.
Sounds like your diet is better than just del taco and chicken nuggets then 👀
