west ham victory parade after 1980 cup final win over Arsenal
A team that valued and put its fans first.
Man u didn't take the piss that day got given it that day
West ham never had much of a go at old Trafford, one trick ponies.
West ham fans must be proud again, there team stopped arsenal today winning the league Cheers for doing a song about the north bank You west ham fans were like the elland road of london, and like i said west ham would never do arsenal any favours, and you lot threw the game today at man city like i said
Told you west ham fans hate arsenal, they made arsenal today could not win
East london is ruined today, especially once upton park was taken down
Very good.⚒️👍
West ham seemed to have 2/3 reds of the stadium that day! I think there were a lot of west ham on mass in the away end ! Always have had incredible support the HAMMERS. Just need a decent owner and manager now ! COYI
It was terrifying. A United supporter.
Was there the night he recorded this, along with another 14 songs, its going back a bit
its not an invasion unless the st johns come on with the stretcher.....
to this day West Ham get so excited when they play United they almost wet their pants
Love it brings back memories, i am 70 now and this was a great era❤
I was in the West Ham end. Cannot believe it was over 30 years ago.
Still slag off Keith Hackett every time he’s on the radio he was shitter than today’s ref’s never forgive him but was a Great atmosphere that day also had a Great weekend in Birmingham
Miss not having a manager to sing for!
Old metal icf 😅
United tried this at Luton and it ended terrible for them. Not many mention that day
The red army pioneers in taking over grounds respect were respect is due 🇾🇪 MUFC
Man Utd turned up everywhere they went no one turned up at old Trafford in the mid 70s Millwall got ran from Piccadilly in 74 and hid in an old fire station rangers turned up in 74 that’s about it
Liar .......
I was in Bernidorm on a stag weekend about 15 years ago, i was with Bradford City lads, we went in the Yorkshire to watch the charity shield, United v City, the whole pub was taking over by United fans, we sat with a family of 5, the only City fans in there, There was 30 lads in there from Birmingham, same as us, on a stag, when i asked them if they was Blues or Villa, they turned round as said " We are all United fans" we were gobbed smacked, United can pull in a firm from every town and city in the country, so the numbers game is not a myth, how can other clubs complete with that, except, maybe Liverpool.
Man united were no where to be seen at Millwall in 74 on the Monday game. Only a few cockney reds turned up
You didn't turn up at Millwall did you though. FACT! Everyone knows it.
Johnny Lyall was nearly there the next year but for Clive Thomas cheating West Ham out of the league cup.
I though his name was Billy Murray.
For anyone that doesn't know, Ince was photograhed in a Manchester United shirt before the deal was done. Also, anyone who was away at Stoke will tell you that Ince just gave up on the pitch, and walked around disinterested because he knew he was leaving. Despicable nerk.
west ham took the money, players change clubs what is the problem, who would want to stay at a small club like west ham
He was photograhed in a Mancheter United shirt before the tranfer was done.
Ince betrayed the west ham support so they'd every right to to show their feelings the way they did motty
Finally we had our day with uefa european cup winners parade in stratford few days ago 🙏🏼😎⚽🏆⚒️ with people of all backgrounds celebrating❤️
You notice how thick the police were as they are now, pushing back on the fans who are desperate to get on the pitch so they can breath.
We only sing the chorus, we should sing the verses as well. They are lovely.
Trying to copy a traditional Rangers chant. Did it ever catch on?
It's an old chant from the 70s, everyone had a version of the 'ello, ello' song then. The tune it comes from 'My old man said follow the van' is a Cockney song anyway.
@@CIMAmotor It is not to the tune of "My old man said follow the van", you ate thinking of "My old man said be an Arsenal fan, I said f*** o** Boll**ks you're a c***.. We took the North Bank in half a minute, we took the North bank with the Arsenal in it" etc etc This video, the song/tine which is to "Marching Through Georgia" which is am American Civil War Song for the Union. TH-cam it, and you'll see. From football, an anthem of Rangers "We are the Billy Boys"
@@kbeesmot9928 Oh yeah! When you're right, you're right.
Wow I was 12 years old and in North bank right behind the goal right at the front,, I remember the I c f kicking off in the villa end,,magical time that lives with me forever,,,
Was there left of the tunnel right where he sent Gale off
Just fitting that Dame Vera Lyn sang our anthem because she was an East Ham girl who for sure supported West Ham ⚒
The way we were th-cam.com/video/vXaSJ-93Bbo/w-d-xo.html
Love it
✈️😂😂😂
Absolute carnage before the game.. West Ham proper running the gauntlet- proper Ironed out 😂
Zzzzzz
Bushwhacked on every corner.. you didn’t know where to turn - remember ? 🤣
@@dennisgraham9663 i first went to the night game in may 79 at the Den , then home and away till late 90s, and a couple in the noughties, never saw a proper tear up between 2 mobs, a big show at london Bridge Station which ob prevented. I remember the west ham fan getting stabbed at embankment tube, and millwall boy Ian Pratt getting killed at new cross gate in 76, but both occasions we were playing other teams so both chance meetings. When exactly was it you refer to?

Always a great atmosphere at Upton Park. Proper football ground!
When east London was full of indigenous people.
Exactly. And a team that loved and put its fans first
Not sure why Motson's getting his knickers in such a twist over a bit of booing. It's always been part of the game and good players have always used it to give them extra motivation.
Pearson, ‘we want to help Chelsea get promoted’
Unbelievable him saying that 😂😂 you wouldn’t even get lil fat Frank saying that would ya. The little mug.
Paul Allen’s voice!
I’ve been at West Ham in the 70’s & 80’s when the ‘official’ attendance was 26,000 but you couldn’t swing a cat and the following week 35,000 where you could. We often got 2 through the turnstile bunging the attendant 50p or a £1 every ground done it. All seater all ticket whilst taking away some of the atmosphere has made it so much safer inside the grounds it had to happen albeit rather late ⚒️
You would'nt of known forest fans were in the stadium that day...west ham fans as usual took the show...100% among the best fans for many a year
I was there, 12 year old. Great days
I follow west ham from Ireland 🇮🇪 come on you irons
Amazing how many comments there are from fans who have experienced crushes at various grounds including Hillsborough. Sadly we'll still get the ridiculous "always the victim" shouts from opposition clowns all over the country. Suppose it would have been a different story if it had been your own club's fans on that fateful day in 89. YNWA the 97 🙏
Adorable
We’ve been waiting 40 years for our next parade
In the 90's this home fixture was West Ham's Cup final.
And still now for me. Despize manure and always have. We win nothing but history shows we stopped you winning 2 titles...coyi
According to the Sunday newspapers at the time the Manchester United fans got "Hammered"
