I just got my first halflinger foal they are very cute. Hobo was cool as a bay, i think!. Dun it is a must-have mold! I love Merrylegs, (- hope i spelled that right). I've had mine for. idk how long i find her soooo cute!

Morgan foal in S Tier makes me and my conga of soon to be 27 of them so happy! You are absolutely right; that mold is adorable! Nice to see someone else who really likes it! Also, glad your cat is doing better!

You aren't wrong about the trotting Morgan mare. There is something artificial about her in person. I have a couple of them. I do like her, but...yeah. On the other hand, Mesteno's Mother is such a little train wreck (oh, those spindly little legs!) but there is something about her I just love. I too look at Harper as what Ginger could have been. Seeing them side by side you can really see how bad Ginger is in comparison. Oh, her poor face! Not to mention the terrible mane and tail. I love all the Maureen Love Thoroughbreds. Man O War always looked like some of the descriptions of him. He was the best and he knew it!

I used to have a lot of Classics including a complete conga of the WB Foal but I’m downsizing the herd so I’ve been slowly selling them. I’ve decided that Traditionals will be the focus of my (hopefully) much smaller herd so the only Classics I’m keeping are from my childhood carpet herd, which are the family sets (Arabian, Andalusian, etc) & the race horse series portrait models. I’ll also keep the Classics based on Marguerite Henry’s & Walter Farley’s books. Of course, as soon as I sell 70% of my Classics there is going to be an all Classics show in my town. I decided to go but I don’t expect to do much if anything at all. I no longer have the modern molds in modern paint jobs. I just have hopes that the test run Ginger that Andrea left me will get something, even if it’s only for Collectibility. I’m glad your cat is doing better. So sorry your Norita was broken. My step-sister broke one of my models using it as a lawn dart & trying to get it into the hoop on the ground. My stepdad had put the actually lawn darts out of reach so she grabbed one of my models! I’m surprised she only broke one leg. As you probably guessed after I mentioned lawn darts, I do get the “Tabitha” reference. My mother had a cat named Samantha & kept one of her kittens which was named Tabitha. My JCP pinto Bouncer is also named Tabitha. Such a sweet name especially fitting for the sweet little TV show character that introduced most people to the name.

Hmmm I kinda like the anniversary models with the horses in the markings. Never seen that before. The black and white is prob my fav but the appy is dope too! You can really identify the models if you're a true Breyer fan. Wild how old some of the models are turning 30 like me this year lol!

I pre-ordered with my local Breyer dealer: the Esprit (because I conga this mold) the Radiance classic Arabian (normally don't collect decorators but I have a soft spot for clearware) and Surfers Riptide. Thanks for the video and looking forward to your review of the Breyerfest models when they are all revealed.

Sorry about your cat being sick. Hoping he recovers quickly & fully. Nothing I need except the Lexington ornament since I have all of the other TB race horse ornaments. I might get the TR blue Lexington on Winx but since I’m trying to downsize the collection it’s doubtful. If I hadn’t gotten rid of my Classic WB Foal conga I would’ve gotten that set for the foal. Overall there isn’t much I want or need & that’s good since I’m trying to downsize. If something makes me go “WOW! 😮 I will get it for my collection but nothing revealed so far has that wow factor for me.

I screamed when I saw Lexington! Definitely my favorite. I also don’t really like the Christmas horse. So sorry about your cat!

I really love buckskins so I may very well get the buckskin Geronimo. Then again, I could change my mind if I don't like him in person. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen a model and thought, no, don't really want it, until I saw it in person or visa-versa. The appaloosa/pinto markings with the molds featured in the markings is a very neat idea. I like both the Esprit and Lonesome Glory. I think they both look nice. I really like Lonesome Glory's color. Yummy! Esprit is funny. I didn't really care for him when he first came out but he grew on me over time so, if I can find one and if I like what I see in person, I might get it. The pony set is nice. I'd love to see some of the bulls and even some of the wildlife molds make a comeback and the new Longhorn looks great but I already have 2 of them and those horns! LOL! Maybe they could bring back the Herfords. I could find room for them! 😀

I got the Misty and Stormy book box set a while ago and I love them. I got matte Bandalero and the Enya stablemate, I don't collect Stablemates in particular so I will keep her too. I like that Benelli, he's very pretty. The Spanish horse is super pretty.

There is a JCPenny exclusive from the parade of breeds many years ago that looks like that appy foal as an adult almost, she was designated as an Appaloosa Sporthorse or Nez Perce horse off the top of my head. She also has the pearly mane and tail <3 Appy crosses are completely fine for that foal! Those foals are pretty ambiguous as long as you stick to light type breeds she does fine, like don't try showing her as a Sugarbush Draft probably.

Why did i never think about that classics where freedom series 😂

I know the Andalusian Family set is not a lot of people's favorite lol but for me they are very sentimental because my parents got me the set for Christmas the year they came out. But out of the three I've never really like the momma because of the weird dappling and how her mane lies on her neck. My friend had the Arabian family when we were kids and I ended up getting one on eBay. The Zayn model of the Stallion is really pretty I got the rabicano. I have the Palomino Arabian stallion and the American Saddlebred in Palomino too. I have quite a few Classics. They do remind me of being a kid again. I'm also a Libra so I wouldn't mind that one.

As someone who likes classics more than most collectors, I'm super excited to see a series on them!

So happy to have another video from Erica. I’m looking forward to the tier rankings for the Classics. Not my favorite scale but it still has some very nice molds. Of course I’m partial to the molds from the 1970’s through the early 1980’s since they are the ones I grew up with. The Classic Black Stallion is one of my favorites since I love Arabians & was obsessed with The Black Stallion book series when I was younger. The Black Stallion model was sculpted based on the description from Walter Farley’s book by the same name & the book clearly says that The Black has a very dished face. I think the mold matches the book description very well. A proud & fiery part Arabian stallion with his head held high as if he’s sniffing the wind.

So nice to see you doing the classics now. (and, yes, classic, not freedom. Ugh) I know a lot of people tend to knock the Classic Arabian stallion because he doesn't look much like a modern Arabian but, if you look back at pictures of Arabs from that time frame (the 1950s and 60s) he actually looks pretty good. At least I think so. The Chris Hess horse from the 1980s (Black Beauty set and the Black Stallion set) seemed to be not as good as some of his earlier molds had been. Duchess and Ginger especially have some of the worst manes and those tails! They look like they were stuck on as an afterthought! And straight as a stick! Ugh. I have also heard a lot of collectors complain about all three of the Arabian heads/faces of the Black stallion set. I really like the AQHA mare and foal also. That buckskin foal is sweet (I love buckskins). And the poor Andalusian mare. Yeah, I don't even see her for resale too much. I am so looking forward to the rest of this series!

Imo I think he is the most f tier, even after poor Khemosabi, but so f tier it wraps around to s tier and I kinda want to conga him 😂 I got Biscuits and Gravy at the event and I kinda fell in love (that's mine in the IDYB pic actually lol). Also, oh my gosh please make a unicorn Stormy that would be adorable!

I’m with you! This mold is sub-par and is a step backwards compared to the other beautiful Breyer models of its time. Bad conformation. Unattractive face. And unrealistic pose that lends itself more to a Barbie horse or a toy company that doesn’t really understand horse conformation/movement. Just fine for a kids’ toy, but doesn’t cut it for anyone who knows what Breyer is capable of and compares this to any of the incredible sculptures Breyer has produced.

The palomino is actually very cute. If only it wasn't for his short neck.

Aww I feel sorry for little Sea Star. I have the Cascade and Caspian set and the Misty set and also the Phantom and Misty one. I've never really looked that hard at him or other wonky vintage Breyer's. It could be my insanely horse crazy mind and personality that I look at these guys through rose colored glasses 😆 but I can see what collectors are saying about him and his actual makeup. I agree with you on the Palomino color and some of the others do make him look a little better. I'd still buy him but probably only in a set 😁

Ah poor little Sea Star. I know I had one of these once...not sure if I still have him. If someone customized him I bet he could be so cute but as he stands, well, that short neck! I'd take Smokey the cow horse over Sea Star.

Yay! So happy you’re highlighting homely little Sea Star. I have the original since I have all of the original Marguerite Henry’s books & the models based on them. The only thing that makes little Sea Star so wonky is his short neck. His crooked front legs & high rear end aren’t that unusual in newborn foals. It’s the neck that’s off. Lengthen it 1/2 an inch & it would totally change everything, including his appeal.

I don't see that Trotting Foal coloring on BVG either, similar but the face markings aren't quite the same. You definitely got some interesting models in your collection. Cool picture frame box!

I looked thru all my trotting foals and I swore I had one like that but no luck, only found a chestnut tobiano one from a stallion and foal set I bought, might be the one I was thinking of lol so maybe the one you have might be a custom? idk tho
