I agree! HM DS has the most partner choice and the cave exploration is huge in that one, with one interesting bachelorette hidden at the bottom Although I didn't play Animal Parade, I watched a youtuber play it, and I must say that this Harvest Moon version has the best style and graphic of its time. Furthermore, the witch in this version is so adorable

I do wonder what Japanese feedback was like for rival marriages? Like what made them take them out? Did they just not like the chances of encountering the rival scenes? Just didn't like the idea in general?? I want them back!

@@ramenking1 Luckily that issue escaped me. In the deep forest, Friday guy. Keep going to the mines on good luck days. I got 5 levels a day and it's done now, just collecting the items I need. You get some fun stuff at the end of each biome.

I'm actually wrong about the scarecrows and must have misread one of the users' quotes in the Discord and took it as fact. According to one of the actual dev messages in the discord when asked about scarecrow radius: "it’s about 10x10 tiles. Scarecrows will be reworked to have a visible range and their logic is getting a rework too!"

I know they make games that are fairytale reskins, I've skipped them before, I bought this one because I was looking for a new Rune Factory style game since every single one that's come out recently has been bad. Farming is more of a 2 minute break from doing mazes, to do something simple and stress free, and it helps extend the life of the game. Things I think could have been done better: "Elementals being a dating sim", The farm could have at least had a small extension with a house or decorations, it's just a square that you're fenced in which was disappointing. Things they did well: Combat is fast, fluid, and can be played slow or fast to preference. If you're good at parrying, I literally just power loaded every single pet with as much attack as possible, and it's great. Probably terrible if you can't.

Every major Fairytail character has a foil in the game; I've almost got the full guild and I have one island left, I swear to god if the masked guy in armor takes his mask off and he looks like Jelal, then changes sides, I'm going to flip a table.

Harvestella was very not good; This is closer to Etrian Odyssey, the story is decent, the gameplay is good minus the farm, and the farm is more a relaxing short activity than something that takes a lot of time.

@VyseMalice Harvestella is my personal favorite haha, I'm used to people saying it's bad or straight up trash, there was someone that said I liked trash, what a world.

I haven't tried Littlewood before! I've always liked Little Wood's pixel art, but haven't gotten the opportunity to try it out. I'm not sure how in-depth Littlewood goes, but if you're looking for something extremely simple, Dreamland Farm could be okay for you.
