The Creator said this is like Terminator 2 where we go back and forth between flashback and present and so half the movie is the origin story of mufasa while the other half deals with Kiara and Timon and pumbaa.

Just as a preface I've been waiting 13 years to play this game since the first one came out in 2011 and I've preordered the collectors edition. I've been keeping tabs on the game since the announcement. I think this is the best and easiest way to experience Warhammer without needing to do too much homework, a lot of the reviews have been very positive even though they're only allowed to play 2 PVE maps and 1 campaign mission, both of which support 3 player co-op, the community also seems to be very positive prior to release with a few concerns regarding Chaos Space Marine customization (The non blue guys in the PVP part of the trailer) but otherwise the sentiment is very positive.

Since you guys seemed to really enjoy this and will maybe play it, you should definitely livestream react to Bricky's "Every Single Warhammer 40K Faction Explained Part 1". The lore is so great, many compelling characters and factions. And trust me, when you know the basic lore, it somehow feels even BETTER when you're slaying Xenos and Deamons in the games.

This game looks absolutely amazing. As a fan of the franchise I must say it looks like how I would expect the actual lore to look like if brought to life. Tons of nice attention to detail, the scale and absolute brutal carnage that is the Warhammer 40k universe seems to be on point. If you have not, but are willing. I would seriously recommend you watch/reacting to the bricky youtube videos that go over introducing the warhammer 40k lore. I think it will really help you enjoy this game even more than normal. There are 4 particularly good and popular ones that really give you an idea about what warhammer 40k is all about. Some absolutely amazing badass lore, and I am originally not a lore person. This ones lore is so captivating, badass, and extreme that it really just pulls you in. I overlooked this franchise for ages, but once I gave it a shot it really made me regret waiting so long. From the Bricky youtube channel, go to his videos and click sort by popularity. The videos I recommend are all in the top 3 except the the one that maybe should be first to watch. It is called "What is Warhammer 40,000? | Timeline of 40k Lore" and is only 30 ish minutes, but will give you a solid general foundation at least. The other 3 are longer and go into a bit more depth for some of the core factions of the entire thing. Believe me, it is really neat lore 100% worth trying even if your not a lore junky usually like I wasn't. msg me if you ever do please. I would love to watch a reaction video as you prepare for this games release.

This game looks like its going to be hours upon hours of fun. I just got into Warhammer the past few months and the Lore is mad deep. I literally feel like I need a PHD to understand it all but its so facinating. There is plenty of great lotr videos on TH-cam that ill end up listing to to slowly take in all this information.

With how deep I'm into warhammer, this game is for new people. Space Marines are super soldiers designed for war. Tyranids are an alien hive mind he'll bent on consuming all bio mass. If you want to study up, there are plenty of videos you can watch to learn.

My apology but balroc doesn't kill gandolf yet during this time so am wrong. This series is like a back story origin story and kinda is nicely done so will check it out and seems worth watching.

Haven't watched the 1st series or the show yet but am intrigued and curious so looks good and I enjoy lore and magic and middle earth stuff. Balroc doesn't kill Gandolf but should be others since it predates LOR and how Gandolf became the gatekeeper and alliances and betrayals and enemies forged along the way.

I feel shows and movies have more scrutiny when they are said to be a continuation of what we know from before. If they're their own thing, then I can let things slide. That's why I enjoyed the Harley Quinn series with Kaley Cucco.

The fact it's a silly premise is one of the best parts though. So what if it's silly? It's funny and it has great art, characters, paneling, fights and story. You shouldn't be so near sighted about things.
