These talks are a great example of God looking at the heart. The chalices are all very different, as are each of these men. Some chalices are ornate, some simple, but they all have a deep and reverential symbolism to the men that hold them and THAT is what makes them pleasing to God. If they are ornate, it is not because of the man or his "importance" or "taste", but because Christ is being honored. If they are simple, it is to imitate the humility of Christ, not because it is less expensive or some other worldly reason. Very beautiful to see the different aspects of God reverenced through the chalices.

chalice /chăl′ĭs/ noun 1. A cup or goblet. 2. A cup for the consecrated wine of the Eucharist. 3. A cup or bowl; especially, the cup used in the sacrament of the Lord's Supper. 4. A large drinking cup, often having a stem and base and used especially for formal occasions and religious ceremonies. 5. A bowl-shaped drinking vessel; especially the Eucharistic cup. The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, 5th Edition The CCC III. The Eucharist in the Economy of Salvation The signs of bread and wine 1333 At the heart of the Eucharistic celebration are the bread and wine that, by the words of Christ and the invocation of the Holy Spirit, become Christ's Body and Blood. Faithful to the Lord's command the Church continues to do, in his memory and until his glorious return, what he did on the eve of his Passion: "He took bread...." "He took the cup filled with wine...." the signs of bread and wine become, in a way surpassing understanding, the Body and Blood of Christ; they continue also to signify the goodness of creation. Thus in the Offertory we give thanks to the Creator for bread and wine,152 fruit of the "work of human hands," but above all as "fruit of the earth" and "of the vine" - gifts of the Creator. the Church sees in the gesture of the king-priest Melchizedek, who "brought out bread and wine," a prefiguring of her own offering.153

"What do you worship?" says the Bishop in the robe. So clean is the outside of the cup. Deception on steroids. Folks, you give up on yourself, that's the truth. Don't you see? Christ's death was our death. Fixing your flesh is exactly what Satan wants you to be focused on instead of admitting you're a carnal minded human and thanking God for the cross. Our old humanity was crucified with Him (Romans 6:6) yet we still live in these meat buggies for now. Don't try and clean up the corps. The law was to show this and I'll be darn if folks still don't get it.

Nonsense. "God is love" must be harmonized with "God is a consuming fire." They are totally opposite and cannot be made to be the same. Instead of attempting to turn punishment into love one must view both love and punishment as part of conditional covenant promises. Therefore "God is love" is not a good hermeneutic to view scripture from. Rather God as the covenant keeper is. Covenant is the overriding hermeneutic in which both love and justice can be given without contradiction.
