I found a nice spalted log.
The distinctive pattern was made into a mug.
I was able to make a mug larger than the ones I usually make.
The finished mug has a very unique pattern, and I really like it.
It is rare for it to snow in the area where I live.
It was very cold and the work was difficult.

コメントありがとうございます😊 ガウジの研ぎの角度ですかね？55°くらいで研いでいます。10mmのボウルガウジをメインで使用しています。 内側を削る際には、目標とする深さ、幅に到達する付近でガウジを研ぎ直して綺麗に仕上げています。

I appreciate the video showing the whole process and not skipping parts, also I’m not a safety freak and I know I do many things that are risky and dangerous and usually end up learning the hard way. So if you don’t mind me sharing a little pointer on the band saw. Don’t tilt the piece into the blade to trim angles like that, I know I used to do the same thing but eventually if it’s tough wood or the blade gets dull or pinched what will happen is the unsupported piece will get pulled downward to the table very hard and very fast and if your hand is holding the piece firmly it will probably get pulled right into the blade or smashed under the workpiece. Either way it could be bad. Just think of the way the blade cuts/ rotates and what it would be like making a cross cut if there was no table, that’s essentially what we’re creating by tilting the workpiece up off the table to trim corners. Great project though I’m planning on trying myself soon.

質問させてください！木固めエースは仕上げクリヤーだけ塗布ですか？それともエース塗布後クリヤーですか？
ご質問ありがとうございます！ 動画ではだいぶ省略していますが… ①木固めエース ②ペーパー#1000で研磨 ③水洗い後①→②をその後2回 ④仕上げクリア ⑤研磨 という感じの手順です。

ご視聴、コメントありがとうございます😊 長くやってきて辿り着いた製作方法ですが、私が作りたいフォルムを作るにはこの方法が良さそうです。 サンディングはもっとも時間と気力を使う作業なのでもう少し楽に出来ないかと思っている所ですが…良い物は楽して作れないですね。笑笑
塩茹でなどの割れ防止はしないのですか？
ご質問ありがとうございます😊 「塩でゆでることで木が締まる」 「塩でゆでると強度がでる」と調べるほど出てきますが、仕上げの塗装がオイル塗装の場合は効果があるのかなと思っております。 私は多くの方に手軽に使っていただけるよう、浸透性ウレタンを塗装しているため不要かなと思い行っておりません。 また、 ・木材そのものの色が変わってしまいそう。 ・塩味が長期間残るという声が多い ・何故ゆでると割れなくなるのか、明確な理由が調べてもあまり出てこない ・乾燥材には効果がない(と、いう声も) などの理由もありおこなっておりません。 あくまで私個人の考え方ですので、「塩でゆでなければククサとは呼べない」と言われてしまえばそれまでですが… 家でも外でも気軽に使えて洗剤で洗え手入れも簡単なククサと、コーヒーが塩味になるククサのどちらを作りたいのかと考えて、ゆでておりません。
お返事ありがとうございます。 私も手彫りでククサ作りをし始めているのですが、塩茹でをして長い時間乾燥させてヒビが入ってしまったら手間と労力が無駄になるな…とずっと思って気になっていました。 浸透性ウレタン塗料はその後もひび割れなどしていないのでしょうか？
@@igucci7542 割れてしまうと確かに…ショックは大きいですね！ 食器用の物をしっかりと正しく塗装すれば長く使えるものになると思います。

杢の感じとか瘤とか非常にゑもひと思うけど、ククサとしての実用を考えたら飲み口にあたる部分は滑らかに仕上げて欲しいかな。 これだと口元からダダ漏れしそう🤣 インテリアオブジェとしてならありよりのありだけどね😉

塗装ってセラミックウレタンとかですかね? そのままかけても塗装剥がれとか起きないのかな?
食器用のウレタン塗装をしています！塗装後に研磨しているのですが、剥がれて来る様子はないです！

技術もセンスもとても素敵で何本も動画視聴しちゃいました。 透明レジンはどの製品を使用していますか？経年での変色はありますでしょうか？(製品によっては黄色く変色するイメージが強いので)
コメントありがとうございます、とても励みになります！ レジンは耐熱で変色に強いと記載されている物を使用していますが(耐熱 レジンで検索して出てくる物です)、私自身がレジンを使用して製作して1年ほどなので長期での色の変化は今のところわかりません。調べてみると、日光をなるべく避けて使用・保管するのが良さそうですね！
