This video didn’t answer anything. It didn’t answer “is he actually good but just had a bad script?”, etc. From what I can tell, his acting is just bad. He has nothing behind the eyes. All the good actors in the movies he was in also had bad lines but actually had something behind their eyes. You still felt something. His darth anger was empty.

Idk I thought he’s been great in the stuff I’ve seen. I even watched a few of those action thrillers way back when, and when taking those movies for what they are, he held his own just fine. Any hate on this man is wholly undeserved.

Jumper may not be critically acclaimed but as a pre teen, that movie was lit

Jake Lloyd (the actor who played young Anakin in Phantom Menace) also had some real life issues for years after that part, and I believe it prevented him from acting any more. I have a feeling in a decade or so, we're going to start hearing tell of some sort of curse for actors who portray Anakin Skywalker.

Episode 2 was horrible IMO…. But Episode 3 was an absolute masterpiece. I was 9 years old, and my dad brought me to see it over ten times through the summer of 2005… the theater was packed every time. I remember it like it was yesterday!!

So critical failure is dependent on professional reviewers/pundits (who have shown time and time again they don’t know what the average viewing audience enjoys) and his his success is based off a movie that was received horrendously bad by average audience by decently reviewed by “critics”….

Well I’m glad that the generations after actually appreciate Hayden and his role as anakin in the Star Wars film he played anakin perfect in my opinion like I can’t picture anybody else in that role

I cant imagine Darth Vader or Anakin Skywalker without Hayden Christensen. Even today whenever i see Vader, i just can imagine Hayden inside it.

He is very flat and one dimensional as an actor. Every time I see him in a movie he's not a character he's Hayden Christensen. Not a lot of roles for him and no matter what anyone says he was poorly cast as Anakin. Someone like Adam Driver for instance would have been better (obviously different time period but someone with his acting chops) you need someone with range and Hayden unfortunately doesn't have it. Someone like Heath Ledger would have been perfect at the time but I digress.

I loved him in Jumper and never got why he got so much hate when I was a kid. Still to this day he and brenden fraser have a special place in my heart. Seeing them comeback in my adulthood has been heartwarming

It's not Hayden that's the problem. It's that the director's don't know the "Direction" of their own movie. Star Wars had a good direction at the start. That's why it worked out so well. Many other movies just fall into that "The Actor will make us more money than our whole budget on the movie (dialogue/story).. Edit: There is no better Anakin Skywalker than him. Also Critics are crazy for giving such bad reviews/ratings. They still are today, but wow.

Im actually conflicted that this dude didnt find success elsewhere in other film roles hayden is def by any means a great and people should bot be fooled by those setbacks of movies he was in after star wars
