How to change a 2005 Hyundai elantra alternator
Thanks i needed this just bought a 6.0 with one of my lines leaking fluid
Gotta do the same thing on my 04 F250 4x4 (6.0) But theres a damn clip between the side of the oil pan and the engine cradle. That I can't get to.
When u put the new sensor u have to push it a little or just screw it?
@@ValerianȘandor push it in it should sit flat an the screw it in
Thanks man I got the Samuel car and refused to put more money into it but it broke down so I thought I'd check it out and see that's something I can definitely do myself and I'm a 54 year old woman but thank you very much keep it up!! I wish I would have become a mechanic I am in later life cuz I've done a lot of things to my car by myself but anyway thnx for the "How to do I ur self"! 😎✌️
Great vid. But no music would be better
I was going to ask do you know anything about hose breaks?
what size hex bolt is that on the sensor?
T5
Do you know wich port of the master cylinder goes to the front brakes and wich ones goes to the rear?
👍
I was told to change 4 sensors, can you give some insight on that?
That's up to you, but if you're getting the same problems as the video, then change the one.
Just a helpful hint when putting new lines back in feeding them through, put a piece of black tape, masking tape etc.. just to keep from pushing trash it might pick up while pushing the line through.👍🏼 great video it helps a lot.
What is the part numbers for these lines?
ty...
Is this a automatic or a manual, also what’s the difference between the oval connectors and the rectangular connector?
You should have replaced both lines while you were there
How do you take that bracket out but
whats the part number for that new line? I been searching all over internet and parts stores and they keep giving me the wrong line..
shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/dorman-oe-solutions-transmission-oil-cooler-line-624-059/10608779-P
Guess I’m spatially challenged. I had to use a bore scope to be able to see where to put the socket, and to grab it with a grip to pull it out.
I found on 03' Excursion 6.0l cut old line out and feed new ones from the front. Also wrapped my lines in the Dei spark plug wraps to keep heat from the exhaust away, and piece of mind when feeding the lines.
Thanks bro
cant hear anything because of music but very good video
everything was smooth sailing until the small ball socket under the clutch very little room to work in, also map now makes a factory style 3 lug mount version now
My clutch has no pressure now that I did mine how do you fix that?
If your bled the clutch, check for leaks make sure there's no air getting back into the lines . Check all of the bleeder screws, check the slave cylinder to make sure its in contact with clutch fork also check the clutch pedal to make sure the rod is still on the pedal . The worst thing it could be is a defective part ,which would suck
Do you hear that clicking after you turned off the car? I returned my new IAC because it was doing that. That rapid clicking is the new IAC. Its not supposed to click like that after you turn it off.
No sometime even when u buy a new part, some come defective or you could have a issue in your wiring and one way to find that out is if you keep replacing the new part
Thanks for the video and clarifying that the box eventually needed to be replaced. For videos, please consider dropping the background music, very hard to hear you! thanks!
Thanks mate, very useful! I will change the sensor in the next days.
Great video, this helped me change mine today. Couple corrections to help anyone else watching along since he did all the hard work and its easier to point things out when I'm sitting at the keyboard after having the job fresh in my head. 1 - 5.5mm fasteners under the column I did not have to remove the lower trim piece just those three screws. 2 - a T50 torx bit fit my column instead of a T47. The white tab didn't have to come out of the red connector, just using the pick tool for that little snap clip seemed to work fine for me I think the white clip holds the two wiring harness pins into that truck side connector. Thanks again for this!
dude - the wire clips are meant to be pressed in to release
Prioritize your audio. The background music is louder than what you’re saying. I’d much rather hear you than the spa music.
TY have to do 3 of 4 on my 2000. Poor car forgot about it 2 years ago when I got my e-bike.
Thank you it helped me out. Just a word of advice. Take the keys out the ignition. Lol 😂 just a tad bit hard to hear some parts over the binging.
Yea sorry about that I'm new to the videoing thing i dont know why I didnt take it out lol
@@njl3o92 it’s all good. Thank you for making it.
thank you 🙏
Very helpful step by step
Awesome!!!
gloves? pffft... your not a doctor. this stuff is easy as pissin down a well...
Yes this video helped me out a lot, thanks.
These must be very common issues. I came to watch the video for the clogged gas vent, and you were describing the door lock relays issue. I have both those issues on my 2002 Sonata as well! How well did the "temporary fix" work? Those charcoal canisters are about $100. Can I just vent it to air and forget to hook the canister back up to the vent line?
The temporary is still working til this day and yes you can blow into it to unblock it, but the customer canister was so bad that it block the hoes up again , later on the customer came back with the same problem I put a new one in n it never came back
Doing the same line, great video thanks for the guidance ! But, I cannot get the friggin new line to snake thru the crossmember where its kinda tight against the housing! How did you do it ? From the front I cant make the angle to curve the end thru that space (further back its up against the bottom of the cooler/bumper area). From the rear the short u-shaped line combined with the dangling rubber hose is too floppy to thread thru the same space - ugh !!! :-[
U might not wanna hear this and I didnt really show it in the video due to space, but your gonna have to bend it out of shape just enough to get it through then bend it back so that way it lines up. Once u get the end that goes to the trans over the crossmember everything else becomes easy
@@njl3o92 Ok man thanks. Yeah Im a little concerned about snapping it if I try to bend it. I read somewhere else to take off the front bumper and it can snake thru more level like ? Not sure that would help since the coolers themselves would still be in the way looks like .... ? Dammit !
@@jeffburrell8029 so try to fish the end that goes to the trans between the crossmember and then drop in to be slightly under the trans oil pan and try to push an twist as far back as u can to see if u can get the other end up to where it needs to be n pull it back forward that should work , and when I say bend I mean like a small flex just enough to get it in place
Nice video. I got a 2006 kia Optima and it looks identical to the sonata door (both have the same part number) By the way, the adhesive used for holding the glass is supposed to be black polyurethane. That is what glass installers use. Going to try installing mine tomorrow.
Funny thing is I relized my mistake after the fact but til this day it still hold
Do you need to empty the gas tank before doing this? I'm just wondering
Best to do it with the tank haft empty yes
drill hole in canister, empty all pellets out, reseal hole, and new one not needed, clear lines of pellets, reset SEL and all will be ok, tank will fill if purge valve ok check operation with 12 volts.
Hey there, thanks for the video. Every helpful. My question is, can the Idle air control thing you just replaced be repaired and fixed back instead of replacing it, or it always must be replaced? Thanks
Hello kay .. you can try to clean it with like brake cleaner (make sure u wear eye protection) and see if that helps , but inside theres a electric solenoid inside that could've went bad so it would be best to change it.
No joke, my sister's car does the same random lock thing you mentioned at 1:13. Did you ever get around to tracking those relays down? Just curious before I head down the Google / TH-cam rabbit hole. lol
Damn I didnt relized I didnt put it in the video but yes I did change both relays it's in a very tight spot.... driver side under the dash. You'll see the other fuses and then is u look around you should see a few relays and to figure out which is what put your hand on the relays n hit the lock n unlock button ull feel the relays click and remember there is 2 relays so its best to change both because you dont kno when the other relay is going to go
Awesome man, much appreciated!
I'm about to do this same replacement on my sister's car. Glad to see it's not too difficult. Thanks for posting this video!
No problem any question let me kno
How has it been so far? My cmc just went out and i bought this upgrade. No problems since?
Still goin strong iv had no problems with it since the install
ryen_evox good to know! I saw you mention a master cylinder seal in a comment below. Is that the big metal piece that holds the clutch cylinder? Did you replace that when you replaced your clutch?
@@osvaldojimenez4823 I'm srry which comment are u talkin about so I can remember what I was talkin about
ryen_evox a comment from garret down below. He mentioned a cylinder seal and that there were scratches. You mentioned you also replaced the clutch. Sorry for all the questions just want to make sure i install this correctly
@@osvaldojimenez4823 ohhh that, No don't worry about that. I used vise grips on the shaft of the cmc to break the nuts on it . The vise grips left cuts so he was askin if I sanded the shaft after, so it dont cut the seal on the inside on the cmc . And then with the clutch situation I upgraded to a stage 2 clutch while I had my stock cmc and I probably got a month out of it before it failed and like I said in the video it was supposed to be a recall but they didnt want to do it so I had to change it myself and there was no video at the time so I made this
I will like to know where is the P0010 for 2001 vw passat 1.8 T, can you plz let me know
That's can be anything with timing I can say that it would be best to take it to a shop. If not then start off with just changing the sensor to see if that helps, If u look at the front of the motor take off the plastic trim ull see 1 round thing with plugs on it that is your cam position sensor
Those pieces should never have been taken off the glass!
Haha, did you notice that one of the lower radiator hoses only had half a clamp on it and was weeping? Got to just love Fords, they just keep giving.
Yeah my super duty keeps giving too but there's millions of them on the road still can't say that for other 20 year old trucks
Thank you bro best video out there !!
What did you use to drill the two holes? Or did you grind it?
I used a cross cut drill bit but if you can get a small grind wheel you should be good , if you get the cross cut get a good one harbor freight dosent last long
