Happened to me TWICE! First time DIC message, turned it off right away, second time pressure was all over place, so i knew! Shut it down. 2x, inspected, no damage, new bearings, seals etc and its back. Seems to have been *fixed*. GM even went so far as to extended powertrain warranty to 8yr / 80K miles if I am not mistaken.

Off the shelf from TireRack, no spacers, although I might add some in front for additional camber clearance. Currently its clearance limited to roughly -2.2 degrees. Wheels are 17x8.5, 40mm offset Tires are 235/45 - I will probably go 245 next time around.

Pretty sure dynomax discontinued the VT line of mufflers. Some complained of rattles from flapper valve at lower RPM. Worked fine for me!

I heard few folks say something similar, that overall speed was cut due to crashes and injuries. Appears they need better licenses levels.. or... can barely drive on street = junior carts. Really sucks to be on good lap and then poor is cut because another crash somewhere else on track.

I believe there is three speed tiers, junior, unlicensed and licensed (ie people w driver's license). Fastest being licensed. There may also be leagues where you get more speed?

Not there for lap times, just to have fun - if it happens to be fast lap - WIN. I think each facility has its pros and cons, JC facility often being LESS crowded! Maybe that will change as novelty of the Edison facility wears out.

I went there once and I was half an inch to short it’s 4,10 I was 4,9.5. Shhhh I had lifts in my shoe 😜

So far so good, clean ups are *EASY*. Oil or grease falls on the floor - windex and it comes right out. No more soaking the spots to lift out the oils. Loving it! Biggest gripe - wind blowing in leaves! Now I can really see them.

Almost year later, still looks NEW. Clean ups are easy no scrub affair. Just have to remember to be easy on clutch or you'll mark the floor. And soft mountain bike tires can leave mark on aluminum oxide anti-slip surface. They mostly brush away. Even wet, no slip, which is nice since cars are not always dry when you *need* to get under them.

Still have it, been flip flopping between the two for daily driver duty.

I can still do the conversions, althought fewer now than few years ago. You supply the core ( preferably a rebuilt unit ) and I complete the conversion. Has to arrive CLEAN, fully de-greased.

Second track recently OPENED - so now its REALLY HUGE. IF they stuck to original PLAN, there is supposed to be days that the TWO tracks are combined into a MEGA track. Haven't tried it yet - looking forward to it though.

Bearing had no play, looked like rust jacking to me. Aluminum rotor hat, steel hub - i cleaned off corrosion, thin coat of fluid film and noise did not return. It almost sounded like nail stuck in the tire that made noise each time it came around.

@@VitorSpeed yea it sounded too quiet to be a bearing. Glad it was an easy fix! I've had similar noises from my lug nuts backing off after a few heat cycles. What's your go to tool for cleaning the rust off of the hub? I find a wire wheel is tough to get in all the spots with the studs in the way.

Scotch-Brite or 3M roloc discs - i have bunch of old ones i keep for rust removal. Well, at this point they are all old :) so they are worn enough to remove rust without removing base metal.

Sorry to hear - you'd figure after 5 generation of this engine they would have at LEAST oil pump figured out. :(

Sounds like you ran in "unlicensed" class - still plenty fast and if you can avoid traffic, plenty of opportunity to go FAST, slide around - have ton of fun. Rinse repeat.

@@he_rsr1219 My understanding is that "licensed class - ie drivers w state issued driver license" run in Karts that are allowed / programmed to go faster. There is race class above that that may run even faster - I dont know that sure certain.

@@he_rsr1219 don't waste your money there, I went there mid last year when they had only 1 new track. I was shocked an excited to drive it especially with the new karts. Those are the next gen OTL supperleageras an those things are fast asf on straights I've seen them first hand at slick willys in PA, the big problem is that places can tune them however they want which is good but bad. I noticed my kart was acting werid like it had a mind of its own so I asked the worker after the race if we were on speed 4 an he said yes, an asked him why my kart kept slowing down. He said the karts were tuned with a software that automatically slows the kart down even in sections you can take flat out which sucks, I can see why an it's smart but stupid at the same times. Mostly cause 85% of the customers that go there aren't into racing while the 15% are into racing. I asked the dude if they can turn it off an he said no an I was pissed, waste of 30 bucks just to be controlled. Some workers gave me an my buddies tips to avoid the auto brakes but we were still losing time no madder what so basically into to win the race you litteraly need to be in the fastest kart, that place cares more about the people that can't drive over the ones that give a shit about motorsport. If you Google them most of the comments are about there kart. If you want better excitement then go to supercharged it's far better an your money's worth the down side is that you have to get there shit early since there that popular. The rpm I knew before was dead forever. There only making there money on people that don't know any thing.

Yeah, not much different for me. Hands into knees entire time and foot cramping from holding it off the brake since carts are tad bit short.

I was hearing clunking noises while driving, especially when transitioning from say street to driveway. From what I have seen and read, there is a nut on top of the strut housing that comes loose - not torqued or loctite'd properly perhaps? Either way, both fronts ended up being replaced under warranty.

Yeah, drove me nuts for a while trying to figure out where it came from. If its not swaybar end links.. it's the strut itself. Dealer replaces entire assembly - if under warranty.

They certainly has their sweet spots. Bang for the buck was hard to match.

Check for corrosion behind the rotor hat - pain in butt to get to since you have to unbolt the caliper.

I've run two events so far and I am very happy with results. Chatter is minimal, engagement is much smoother than I anticipated.Probably not first choice for daily driver, but as far as performance parts go - this was rather painless.
