Thanks. 67cm is a very big flatty for passage. I struggle to get them that big. Yeah good idea in regard the Hats, I will look into it on Sunday.

@@markwhiting8259 Maybe not a bait issue. you could drop down your leader size. There are no secret spots. You should be able to catch fish the entire length of the passage.

What depth you fishing? I always find it hard to get the jigs down when they weigh less then 80 grams

in this vid, i was fishing in 10-30m. I find easy to get them down, even the small ones. How hvy is your main line?

Thanks for watching. Ive found the more u fish the more consistent you get. Also fishing for the right fish at the right times of the year makes all the difference. I keep a logbook as such, and after years of adding data it tells me what should be moving in. There are no secret spots, the Bay is way too small.

@tattooarttoday its a longboat, like you see in the pacific, that the locals use to net. Its 6.8m long, narrow and cheap to run. Super soft and safe ride.

@techventuring Fortunately enough I live on the water so I don't have to deal with the headaches of boat ramps. Both a great boat ramps though are you local?

@@YAWK_YAWK that's a win. I typically leave from Pelican/Scarborough. But with such limited windows to get out wide, I am always looking for the best/optimal ways to get 30-50km out. Are you out past the Venus banks, or further up near the North Banks?

@AaronsFishing Thanks heaps for the sub, these fish where jigged in between 30 to 40m of water. looking at a map it says its in the bay but you could call it offshore awell, before the cape aswell.

That’s awesome to hear I’m not quite confident enough to get out the cape but on a good day I’ve fished the pearl channel a bit but I haven’t tried any jigging in there

@@AaronsFishing Plenty of fish in the bay as you know. The cape is fine to fish on a good day in a small boat, heaps of boats around if anything goes wrong. 😃

@juliandent86 Its a Goodwin, so same hull - just beefed up by Mr Goodwin. A great riding boat. Great vids by the way, i see u have a Stinger also, we had the 7.3m stinger a while back.

@YAWK_YAWK yea good boats the Goodwins. Very few and far between. I've got a southwind ub520

@@juliandent86 Yeah i don't see too many Goodwins up for sale. We have a 115hp on it, as its heavy for a lonboat. I would love a UB520, and easy to tow when i get my license.

also what weight jig head you using out there? ✌️

Thanks mate. Only in between 10 and 20m of water. Yes moon cycles are great to pay attention to the new moon is normally the best full moon still good, but I can only go when I dont have too much school homework and weekends

not the best, we caught one Flatty on the sandbank near sandstone point and that’s all we got all day, then in the late arvo we went for a squid and got nothing sadly, still better than no fish though
