How To FIDAB-2 - The Get RX'd Adjustable Bench
Do you think that you might come out with that Seal Row pad at 00:46 with the pulldown leg holders? That looks amazing!
Hi guys do you deliver to the UK and Europe.
man those pivot arms are so nice, I'm jealous, now I'm wishing I could have these on my rep ares 🥲 Any chance those pivot arms can be sold separately??
Is this a true 3”x3” rack with 1” holes? Curious about using other attachments on this like the new rogue roller for the lat Pulldowns.
How long does shipping usually take?
We aim to ship your order within 1-5 business days. Once shipped, delivery usually takes 1-5 business days. You'll receive a shipping confirmation with tracking information right away.
@@GetRxd alright, thank you
this is exactly what i have been looking for! i would change the name to Lat Pulldown/ MID Row, as this is what i was searching for and accidentally found this. A Lat Pulldown/ Low Row typically requires you to sit on the floor which i do not want to do. now if you have a discount code... hint hint
We hear you on the name! We'll take it into consideration :)
Does it include a built-in bar, or is it BYOB? Also, it appears that it would be compatible with most other 3x3 1" systems - is that correct?
Does come with the Olympic bar. And yes - compatible with 3x3's with 1" holes
Very interesting I have a single stack cable machine that has similar arms. I just did a TH-cam short about this looks similar but much higher quality. Would you be planning on making a single stack version of this? If so, I would love if you could send me one for review.
Very cool! you may send in your request via Sales@getrxd.com on your proposal to be a reviewer.
1:23 is what’s shown here the lowest setting this smith bar can go down to? Just curious since you said 14 adjustable points but I didn’t see the bottom ones get used. Would the lowest setting low enough to mimic deadlift?
With the safeties at the bottom, it looks like it would stop around mid-low shin area. So not quite. But as I've seen on other Smith setups, you can stand on a plyo box to increase travel
Hi Seanjun7711, thanks for asking! The lowest setting can be used without hooking onto the safety chrome pins (not shown on the video), but the bar sits about 24” off the floor. Might not be ideal for mimicking a traditional deadlift, you may need an elevated platform. Let us know if you have more questions!
Pumped for the tornado smith rack
We super pumped to see this tested in the wild now!
Could you theoretically just get two of those and have the slimest 400lb functional trainer?
Yes, you could do that! You could also get 4 and have the slimmest 800LB functional trainer : )
@@GetRxd Do you ship to Europe?
we can do it! Email us for assistance! Sales@getrxd.com
With the two towers, 200lb stacks, if you link the two together, can you potentially do low row using both full stacks at a 1:1 ratio? Would that work? Not saying I can low row 400lbs lol, but curious anyway
@@Devin-Occansey yes, that’s correct. If you link the two stacks together, you can get to 400lbs using 1:1 ratio
Wonder if it is possible to do this setup with tornado pivet arms?❤ 🤔 💡 also a weight plate option...
Plate loaded options will be available on our website before end of next week!
Looks like a perfect machine to me and at a fair price.
We think so too!
@@GetRxd Yes. Keep it up. Should be ordering soon.
Any chance of adding rollers to the trolley so they glide up with ease?
We chose not to use rollers in the design so that the trolleys would be bomb-proof. We've seen rollers break when they hit the crossbar at the bottom or things banging into it such as your barbell by accident. We thought it would be best to have the trolleys be as durable as possible even if sacrificing some convenience. We do offer chrome uprights which are smoother than powder-coat, which helps the trolleys slide along the upright a bit better!
Can you put the tornado arms on existing racks? It seems like you should, as long as you get the correct cable length, right?
We sell the tornado arms as a set with weight stack, pulleys, pulley frame, and cables here: www.getrxd.com/tornado-pivot-arm-set.html
We can’t guarantee compatibility with other brands’ racks, as this is designed for our RX3 uprights (92" tall, 75x75mm, 1" holes). If your rack’s dimensions and crossbars align closely, it should work, but we recommend double-checking! www.getrxd.com/tornado-pivot-arm-set.html
@@GetRxd I have a 75mm rack. How many inches does this add to the required cable length?
@@GetRxdthank you for your reply. I think there is definitely a market for this item for people who already have rack mounted cable systems. Even if they haven't bought from you guys before, you can bring in new customers with this a la carte.
@@balboa0621 What brand rack and integrated functional trainer system do you have?
Can the pivot arms be purchased separately?
We offer the tornado pivot arms, weight stacks, guide rods, pulleys, pulley frames, and cables together as a set, see here: www.getrxd.com/tornado-pivot-arm-set.html
This is very innovative 💡. Almost perfect, rollers on trolleys would be better than just plastic. Is there a plate loaded version?
We will have plate loaded options for our tornado configurations roughly February/March 2025. We decided not to use rollers on the trolley and opted for just plastic sleeves inside the clasp because we wanted it to be bomb-proof and as durable as possible. We saw some people had problems with rollers hitting their rack's crossbars or barbells and the rollers breaking. We felt it was best to offer something as durable as possible even if it sacrifices a bit of convenience without rollers. Since our uprights are chrome, the surface is smoother than powdercoat too, so the trolleys will slide better on chrome uprights as compared to powder coated uprights.
So the Black is Powder Coat?@@GetRxd
@@BANDANA___USMC That's correct, black is powder coated uprights which is normally the industry standard. Our chrome uprights are one step above in that they're smoother
@GetRxd ah man. I wish I had known that. I might have grabbed the Chrome ones for that reason. I only went with the black because I preferred the color 😆 🤣 My wife struggles with lifting the trolley from the ground with these.
@@BANDANA___USMC We do sell the chrome uprights separately as well for those looking to upgrade the look and feel (www.getrxd.com/rx3-chrome-92-upright.html) 🙂 On the trolley lifting off the ground - will suggest to place one hand on the knurled handle and another on the bottom over-sized pop pin for a balanced glide up the upright. (may take time to get used to it - since its different from normal FT trolleys out there). Besides that, have you guys enjoyed the experience working out on these tornado arms? Would love to hear some feedback👍
Cant wait until they are available
currently they are available either as a rack bundle: www.getrxd.com/rx3-tornado-rack.html (Pre-order), or the Tornado arm set: www.getrxd.com/tornado-pivot-arm-set.html
They are available on our site: www.getrxd.com/tornado-pivot-arm-set.html
@GetRxd I went to go purchase but it no longer has the option to but the Tornado arms separately. How do I do that?
@@sagerkoheel3068 We're currently only offering as a set with the weight stack, pulley assemblies, etc together, see here: www.getrxd.com/tornado-pivot-arm-set.html Do you already have a rack, weight stacks, pulleys, and cables. What brand are you using?
@GetRxd yes I do, no specific brand. When I first saw the Tornado arms, I went on got custom pieces welded for it. I have the weight stacks, pulleys and cables as well. And am using titan fitness uprights currently, 75mmx75mm with 26mm holes. When will I be able to purchase a pair of the Tornado arms?
this looks really nice - great job. i do have a question about doing the lat pulldowns. in the video you are doing the lat pull downs outside of the rack facing in ( @56 seconds). is it possible with the with this set up sit in the inside of the rack and face outward to do the lat pull downs? or would it be a weird angle with the cables?> i ask this because then you could use rollers or something to brace your legs when doing heavier lat pulls using both stacks. also - are you able to do low rows from the ground with a foot brace? would it be possible to do them with foot extensions and a foot brace? am in the market for a functional trainer and this looks really nice and right up my alley. thanks for answering
Yes you can do lat pulls from both inside and outside the rack. When inside the rack, the tornado arms would just be positioned slightly in front of you since the tornado arms are outside the rack. And yes, low rows from ground with a foot brace would work as well. We do offer front feet extensions or our adjustable foot plate that can both be attached on the uprights of our tornado rack!
@@GetRxd thanks for the answers! now I gotta make decisions lol
How heavy is the 14x16x18 box?
31 LBs for the 14x16x18 box!
What preacher curl attachment is that at the first 30 seconds or so?
This is a prototype that we are still testing - you may keep an eye on our New Items section (www.getrxd.com/new-at-getrxd.html) - we looking forward to have this out in early 2025
If you made it so you could attach the Smith machine to the selectorized weight stack, you'd have a 100 percent of home run. All in all this is an incredible machine good job guys
Thanks for the compliment and the suggestion!
At 7:43 it shows just that.
hey! what's the weight of the arm?
25LBs per arm
So what is the actual feel weight when using the 1st plate, plus trolley/arms
@@Devin-Occansey the trolley/arms don't add any weight to your pull. The starting weight feels like 10LBs and then goes in 5 LB increments for each additional weight stack plate you add. So, the total stack of 19 weight stack plates feels like 5LBs each + top plate of 10LBs means the total weight per stack is 105LBs total per side, or 210LBs total when using together.
@GetRxd Awesome. Any chance of adding a roller yo the trolley so it's easier to go up?
@@Devin-Occansey We designed the trolley without rollers because we've seen many rollers breaking when they hit the crossbar below or above it. We decided to go 100% for durability by not using any moving parts on the trolley so that nothing can break
3x3 1" holes?
@@Liam-ql7tr yes but metric to be specific. 75x75 with 26mm holes
If you could implement a way to put both 200 lb stacks to use for a belt squat attachment on some sort of platform that would be absolutely fire.
Thanks for the suggestion!

@@GetRxd That's why companies usually hire someone to do that, it's okay, just had to mention it xD
What is the max weight capacity of the cables + this pivot arms? Will you sell a larger stack?
@@Tuhkeera cables and tornado arms can handle 450+ LBs. We don’t plan to offer a larger weight stack than the 2x current 200lb stacks. You’re able to combine both stacks together by angling the tornado pivot arms together, and can further increase weight using our weight stack plate load pin, which allows you to add Olympic weight plates to the weight stacks!

You need to offset the arms to the side so that the cable doesn't have to travel down the center of the upright, would give more flexibility into what you can use with the arms at the bottom of the uprights.

@@ArshadDanish you can email us for assistance!
1:08, heads-up, this is a common misconception and outdated notion, you technically get a worse stretch in the pec muscles doing cable flys with a setup that is wider than your wingspan and it's slightly worse for muscle growth based on the latest research around tension at longer muscle lengths. Think about stretching the pecs in a doorway, you want something pulling your arms back and inward slightly to maximally stretch the pecs, not pulling your arms out and away from you. Or think about trying to bend a rod around a solid pole, you would grab both ends and pull back and inward to maximize the force, not pull outward like a wider cable setup mimics. Plus, the torque is maximized on your chest in a fly (or basically any cable exercise) when the cable is at a 90° angle with your hand/arm. And, based on the latest research, to maximize growth you want this to happen when the muscles are at a longer length (i.e. stretched) which is the very start of the movement when the arms are out wide. Thus, you get a better "stretch" and more muscle growth when you maximize tension at the very beginning with a setup that is at, or just under, your wingspan width. You get more focus on the peak contraction/squeeze the wider the pulleys get, nothing wrong with that but it doesn't seem to be as growth promoting based on the latest studies. Not a huge deal either way but just something to be aware of.
I would be more enthused about the added height the pivot arms give for more room to stretch to full RoM in doing things like single arm lat pulldowns.
@@killerkhatiby009 thanks for the comments! With our tornado pivot arms, you will be able to set them up at the optimal position you mention! They have a ton of adjustability both horizontally and vertically and can be placed virtually anywhere for biggest benefit!
@@GetRxd Oh for sure, probably should've made that clearer, I don't think there's any issue with the arms since you can position them in whatever way! Just wanted to point out the slightly incorrect information in the video since people often talk about a better "stretch" with a wider setup when you actually get less stretch on the pecs that way.
@@killerkhatiby009 Thank you for the information!

@@Alex-kb9rd we will have tornado configurations using 84” upright which would be 86” total height available in January 2025!
@@GetRxd Still too tall for my basement sadly. I can easily cut the uprights shorter, and I know I would need to have a shorter cable made if I did that. Only thing I'm not sure about is the guide rods, are they threaded on the ends or not? If not then they could also be cut and everything would bolt together nicely, but if they are threaded then that would complicate things.
Honestly wish you guys would have just gone shorter with it especially because for the same height of upright, the tornado arm already lets you position the pulley much higher than you could on something like the Ares.
@@timk8258 they hinted a 85" cable tower in 2025, might be easier to cut that than a rack, wouldn't have tornado arms but its still quality
