Tim Goes Metal
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 21 ต.ค. 2024
Hey all! Welcome to my new metal reaction channel! My original reaction channel is over here at @TimWelchVocalStudio
I've been a voice teacher for the last 24 years and I can break down any sound anyone makes. I love interesting dynamic vocals and I'm beyond excited to have this new channel exclusively dedicated to that.
I will be accepting reccomendations for all sub-genres of metal, heavy metal, metal-core, progressive metal, hard rock, and all things similar. I want dynamic performances and vocalists! I like metal but I haven't been listening to it very much over the last few years and I'm excited for you all to take me on a journey through the great things I need to hear.
Thanks for joining me on this new adventure! Subscribe and stay up to date. More to come!

My first reaction on this new metal channel!! What a beautiful first song to kick things off with. I’m a big fan of Sleep Token, definitely more to come from them. Find my main reaction channel over here, thanks for commenting and subscribing. I really appreciate recommendations of next songs to react to. @TimWelchVocalStudio www.Patreon.com/TimWelchVocalStudio www.TimWelchMusic.com
I listen to metal anytime. It does calm me. That one part where he puts the mic down and yells, "DEMOLISHER" he does that live and you can hear him in the back. STP wears these masks all the time but they do take them off. Definitely check out "Behelit" to see more of Alex's range. There are highs, lows and cleans. Its a great song.
Honestly, I don't need to be in any kind of mood to listen to this. Metal is a lifestyle and has been since I discovered a song called "The Pusher" back in the early 70's. 🤘🤘
When i lift heavy in my local gym at 6am i put this song on. I have a crowd lol 630 clean bench no drugs and no suits.
You should really check out the one take Alex just released a couple days ago. So so Good
Yep,Ghost of Perdition at Red Rocks. You will enjoy that!
Next : Lorna Shore - To The Hellfire
Tim this made my day , I started following you when you found ren on your main channel, slaughter is in my daily playlist right next to ren, Lorna shore, bad omens, knocked loose and Sam Tompkins , it's an odd bunch now but it all makes me happy
The world's best band - for time and eternity
ADHD/OCD and general anxiety here 👋🏻 i listen to heavier stuff like this when i need to focus/study/relax. i’ve fallen asleep to these guys and bands like Lorna Shore many times.
Круто!
Hey, btw, they sing in Russian and English. So a lot of this song is in Russian.
I listen to this when trying to sleep
Im listening to this on monday morning in the subway when i need to work.
First time listening to STP, but 2 weeks ago you were talking about Alex (Jinger video). And you haven't heard about STP? Hmm. I don't believe it!
I only watched the vocal demo he did in the bathroom or whatever it was, I hadn’t heard the band until here.
Hey Tim, I'm a 50 year old powerlifter / powerlifting coach who has Parkinson's Disease. What PD does is basically destroys the brain's ability to produce dopamine. I can testify that myself and other people with any type of chronic dopamine deficiency can benefit greatly from whatever type of musical inspiration we might prefer. I usually try to keep my earbuds in while lifting and definitely have certain songs / videos that I mostly save for big lifts / PR attempts. It's not just psychosomatic, it's been proven to help the brain produce dopamine. I actually listen to music this heavy to help me sleep on occasion, though 90% of the time, Sleep Token does a better job with that. Great analysis as well. Cheers!
I listen to Slaughter at 630 am on my way to work most days haha
I wish that i could go back in time and watch this again for the first time. ❤
Please please please react to To the Hellfire by Lorna Shore. It's super heavy but very interesting and a lot to analyze
After I have a crap day at work, I listen to this type of stuff on the way home and in the shower. By the time I'm clean, all the anger has been cleansed out of me as well. 🤷♂️
Also live the show is super fun he is super nice as well. Great crowd interaction as well, worlds nicest people as well at the show very friendly.
Yeah no I just listen to metal has no effect on me, that feeling goes away eventually. I sleep to Deathcore/Black metal. Honestly black metal is just really soothing and atmospheric to me. Also you are majorly misinterpreted the lyrics he is super anti war the lyrics, and major freedom fighter type. To point he got into an argument in a restaurant with his mom about how gays should not be persecuted in Russia.
Wow interesting! Yeah the lyrics are abstract a bit.
Today they released there new album. The last testament. Guest was Ian Anderson Jethro Tull and Joe Tempest from Europe! The Final count down!
Oh wow!
Great reaction should also check out will Ramos or dickie Allen
slaughter to prevail is no ones, chill song.... lol this coming from someone who does listen to metal and can fall asleep to metal. This is more along the lines of workout music in my opinion cant listen to it all the time but in the gym its fire. For a band that you can chill and listen to listen to the song "The Gift of Guilt" by Gojira!
lol!
Opeth is a "1 of 1" type of band. i've been an avid listener since 2002. you can't really compare between the albums. their discography is one that demands a full listen through. they've grown, matured, experimented, changed styles (and got A LOT of backlash from it). never stopped being true to their own artistic choices. today their new album came out and it's a doozy. really combines all of their career of ~30 years
I have a large amount of music across all genres but back as a you teen and into my min 30s I strictly only listened to metal and the sub genres... I listen to this with my windows open in all the traffic on the way home and so do the people in the cars around me as well as at home where my neighbors get their ears blessed with this beautiful, brutal sound 😅
PLEASE DO STP VIKING AND THEN ALEXS VOCAL PLAYTHROUGH OF IT. Perfect for you to react to! 🔥🤘
Great reaction man! Do more Slaughter to prevail
so please react to best choir in the World! Blind Guardian - The Bard's Song & Valhalla - Live at Wacken Open Air 2016 have fun and enjoy it
I enjoyed your breakdown and analysis! I just wanted to point out that the difference in Tatiana's vocals between the two recordings is actually due to her using slightly different techniques. The lows are all her! 😁 Of course, there is compression and some doubling in the final version. 🍻
Alex terrible 🎉
I listen to this kind of music when I'm upset or angry about something, and also when I'm very excited. This music helps to throw out negative emotions or, on the contrary, calm down. It all depends on my mood.
In the video for the song Baba Yaga you can hear Alex singing.
Subbed to the new channel. Would love to see some Nemophila reactions. Saw them at Aftershock 2 years ago and they were great.
You better listen to live one take performance version called Demonlisher. Completely sick!

Recently, the vocalist of this group, Alex Terrible, released a one-take vocal live with this song. His skills have improved incredibly!
I'm a high stress/anxiety person with ADHD. The chaos of this song and songs like this have the most calming effect.
It’s not chaos, it’s measured. If anything, it matched your rythym!
Chaos 😅😅😅 listen to Dillinger escape plan 😂
@@Winklereiner my favourite band
@@aliasfakename5551 I don't understand you're answer. Is it possible to have another favourite band then Dillinger ? 😅❤️
Yeah death core is super soothing to me too.
For some, this metal is zen. It provides and expresses everything in you. This prevents the school shooter. This gets you the extra rep in the gym. Metal guys are fluffy snuggly bears. Why? Because they scream the aggression out into a song instead of into their homies. No time for hate. Just love. But as a guitar player, for me, I wanted to be the best guitar player I could be. This was the most difficult type of guitar playing I found at the time.
I love this explanation, thanks.
His recent one take on this song is like evil version of this song especially Russian part.
Extreme metal is just that by its very nature, taking musical conventions and pushing them to their limits. A type called *brutal death metal* is supposed to be the most extreme sub-genre of all, but maybe this newer style of *deathcore* gives it a run for the money. There’s certainly no shortage of brutality in that song. The lead vocalist is pushing harsh vocals- in this case *gutturals* or deep growls- to the max. And that drummer is just an absolute all-out machine. Extreme metal is alive and well and brutal as ever.
The Baying of the Hounds
I’m an artist so I love listening to heavy stuff like this band when I’m just relaxing and working on a drawing. It’s weird but actually calms me, maybe I’m just weird but idk lol.
You should do some Shadow of Intent!!
How late to the party are you ,it came out in 2016. Great reaction though and Vlad is one hell of a drummer.
I got to the level when I listen to this on the regular, but when I was developing my taste to regularly listening to deathcore and similar stuff, I was primarily listening to it when I wasn't feeling well, when I was like angry or nervous. It served (and still does, but moreso before) as my musical cleansing, like, I could be angry and nervous af, and, 10-15 mins of StP or Disembodied Tyrant or something similar, would just purge all that out of my system, leaving me feeling really chill and well.
Greetings, I'm from Russia, looking at your reaction to Alexander Shikolai's vocals-a smile appears on your face, I understand you were pleasantly shocked by his vocals, strong and wild vocals, the drummer is certainly good too (Evgeny Novikov), he just has a tooth-crushing game, these guys are very talented, as you noticed,I want to recommend you to make a reaction to the same song-only a live performance, where Alexander "is sitting in his room, or maybe in the studio, not the point of the matter), in general, listen for sure, you will not regret, I assure you, I want to express to you great respect from Russia👊🤘🔥 With respect.
He did one take for this song recently. It sounds more brutal
I listen to this whenever. It’s on my playlist I play at work, for my clients and colleagues as well. It’s mixed with songs from all genres. For example; wu-tang, Al’tarba, Ram Jam, Portishead, Thumpasaurus, Gnome, Battlesnake, Aurora, Zay Lewis, Alboroise, incubus, Irah, Louis Armstrong, Prof, gangstagrass, dizzy dros , cattle decap… and so on. I think music sounds the best when it is totally mixed , old and new, slow and fast. It’s like you have to smell coffee beans between perfumes.
I love that, awesome
