Ty talks about Mousse prep and shares some of his tricks. It is a sister video to the Damn Good Tire Tool™ video, and was cut from it so it was not so long.
Damn Good Tire Tool™ Tutorial

Here is a video showing Ty using our Damn Good Tire Tool™. It shows a real world application and he talks you through the entire process. Check out his "Mousse 101" as well. It goes along with this video and gives some great tips.

But will it work on Harleys and other touring bikes?
Got one today it is a great tool.
Great presentation and the trick with the vice grips was brilliant. Unfortunately a 6 month wait list for the product?
Dumb question. You advocate for a water soluble tire soap. What happens when you do a lot of water crossings, wet-weather riding, etc. Doesn't the soap wash out and leave the mousse un- or under-lubricated? You mention washing the bike but seems way different than actual riding.
Hello, thanks for advance and education! Is it possible to make 17 inch Mouse from 18 inch mousse?
Thank you for this video
Didn't know there was a moose in the tyre.
Great, have one on order...just waiting....and waiting.....:-)
How much
where can I buy one of these ?
why put a mouse in a tire anyway? does it run around causing the bike to go faster or what? I dont get it, what gives? 🤔
no flats
So now I need to buy a truck........
im stuck at last spot i will try what you said.
Ty's word is gold folks. He's been a racer in the trenches longer than most and is a super cool dude.
Most realistic moose changing video on TH-cam.
Amigo no tienes ni idea... Nunca hay que trabajar con las palancas más separadas de un palmo. El trabajo es el doble. Muy mal.
Not worth a crap look at the home made changers from Mexico or India they change flats all day everyday by hand
Where do we buy this?
RIP rims
Where to buy, how much?
Vice grips, really, there goes good wheels, should use a beed buddy, you had me until the vice grips
I was shocked too.
OMG the poor aluminum rims! Vice Grips???? My customers would kill me. Not ready for prime time.
I want one do you ship to the uk👍
a
Rim lock?!?!?! Ya mean VALVE STEM????
Um how have I not seen this tool before??? This is the best tire changer I’ve seen ( of course if it works like it is shown to work here) which I don’t see why it wouldn’t...
I have a roadking that is spoked how will that prevent the pressure of getting tire on and off from bending the spoke?
Damn, I wish I'd seen this thing before I bought the one I have
this is the shittiest tire change tool I’ve seen so far
Black rims using vice grip ?
Use it with No Pinch Tire Tool - mauioffroadriders.com/for-sale it is so much easy to put the tire on. Guaranteed!
sweet.. thanks for sharing Ty
we really like this tire changer...well built..
Great design, well thought out based on real world experience dealing with specialized off-road racing tires. Don't understand the criticism, this is not a everyday street tire but a specialized off-road tire which requires much more effort. Take what you can use from this video then move on.
Sure are lots of parking lot riders complaining about using vice grips. Obviously this tool ain't for your show n shine wheels. It's for mx and hard enduro racers who need something on race day at the truck. And yes ALL THE PRO TEAMS USE VICE GRIPS BECAUSE THEY WORK , trick is dont over tighten and not to loose.
who is selling these now? Website down!
ziptyracing.com.... I picked one up over the holidays
Very good machine concept. All my admiration!
So all you need is six tire spoons, a pry bar, a pair of vice grips and the tire changer ? Simple enough.. lol
Wtf are you putting a visegrip on the rim edge.. hahaha.. 27 tyre irons and hands with 10 thumbs.. not very inspirational sham.
Back in the day, the good guys could change out a tube (off and on...with new tube) in the woods with 2 six inch long forged spoons, inside of 4 minutes. Now a mousse, might be different. But when you can change out a tube in 4 minutes, why not use a tube. If they needed to remove the tire completely, that was right about 4 minutes...off and on. Now in a shop, with lesser talented shop guys...this looks like a super machine.
There is no lower part of the lever to be removed. The problem is that the axle shaft is stressed.
I like your tool but I like your methodology even better. I've watched a bunch of "install mousse" videos, and I still learned a bunch from yours! And vice grips don't bother me - they provide a bigger ramp than a Bead Buddy ever will. (There are ways to protect the rim for those worried about such.)
Vice grips 🖕
I like it ,what’s the cost on this
Ill take my bead buddy over vice grips LOL
I’ve used lots of tyre changers Looks a good but I think the rim needs support at the bead breaker end looks lick that if you have a stubborn bead it putts a lot of stress on the rim and spokes . Good design for the track day but needs that support at the bead breaker end .
Any tips on sizing the mousse with a particular tire? For example...with the mousse in the tire and off the bike is there a rule of thumb as to how spread the beads should be?
Do you have any tricks to stop vibration in handlebars? Ive got really bad hands that get pins n needles real easy.
I do if you don't mind, I have some nerve damage in my hands and what I do is. Go out to lowes or someplace like that and a hardening silicone caulking and a caulking gun and tape one end of the bars shut and stand on end and fill with the silicone and completely fill the bars, and leave on end for a day or two until it's set up and it will absorb almost all of the vibrations in your bars. You have a BarSnake for like 3 bucks. It worked for me
I’ve heard good things about Flexxbars. Maybe look into that?
Man... this was painful to watch, Rabaconda smashes fuck outta this contraption.
I have a similar machine but no need for tyre irons and it's alot quicker than yours
