      I think the main reason historians and academics refer to them as mythology is because while they do include many important figures and stories that were part of ancient Indian traditions, there isn't sufficient historical evidence or documentation to conclusively prove that everything described literally occurred. The texts include supernatural elements like gods and goddesses intervening in human affairs, as well as magical or exaggerated events that can't be definitively proven. At the same time, I can understand why people who see religious or cultural importance in the epics might view them more as itihas or history. So in a sense, it's more of a debate around definitions, and both viewpoints have validity.

      This is not me saying anything, according to some āĪ§āĪūāĪ°āĨāĪŪāĪŋāĪ• texts, Krishna cursed Ashwathama to roam the forests until the end of the Kali Yuga with blood and puss oozing from his injuries, and to cry for death, but death would not meet him. The curse also included the requirement to surrender the gem on his forehead- before that, the gem used to protect him.

    The mythology of Km.t is originally from central Africa with the tribes of animal totemic culture to the winged god "Heru" called Shemsu by the Meru of Kenya and their worship of femininity "Aisis" continued by the Punt civilization (Kenya and Somalia) cultists of the Tera Ntr religion calling the religion "Shemsu Hor" (Followers of Horus) followed by all the Nilo-Saharan Protonubian cultures of what is now Sudan, Ethiopia, Egypt, resulting in the predynastic Ta-Seti civilization that created Km.t ( Egypt) These pretty drawings do not respect the true ethnic origin, Eurocentric thoughts should not distort the prehistory of Africa.

      Of course I respect that. However, when referring to "mythology", it's important to note that there are often multiple versions of the same stories told around the world. In this case, I was sharing one of the most popular tellings. And you're right, it's always fascinating to learn about alternative perspectives and variants shared by different groups. Thank you for bringing that to my attention!

      @@ThatOneLore I understand your position, the Shemsu Hor mythology is complex and attractive in the visual imagination and collective memory, my criterion is that its black and African origin be respected in the same way any reference to the Annunakis and their Mesopotamian origin is presented and respected. ,Olympus referenced with the Hellenic, Cretan and Greco-Roman and Nordic mythology referenced to the Anglo-Germanic peoples.

    1) Perseus wasn't tricked. He was well aware of what the mission was 2) Medusa had a *consensual* relationship with Poseidon in Greek Mythology Hesiod, Theogony 270 ff (trans. Evelyn-White) (Greek epic C8th or C7th B.C.) : "Poseidon, he of the dark hair, lay with one of these [Medousa (Medusa), one of the Gorgones], in a soft meadow and among spring flowers." 1:27 oh! You mentioned it Also please lower the background music. It's difficult to hear sometimes

    • @ThatOneLore
      @ThatOneLore 5 āļŦāļĨāļēāļĒāđ€āļ”āļ·āļāļ™āļāđˆāļāļ™

      I agree- but remember there is one version of the myth where Polydectes, hosts a banquet where guests bring horses as gifts. Perseus has no horse, but offers to give Polydectes anything else he wants. Polydectes then instructs Perseus to kill Medusa( it was a kind of trickery) Also, some translations say Poseidon clearly r*p*d Medusa, but other translations are unclear if it was r*pe or consensual. The Latin word used has multiple meanings including "defiled" or "vi*lated" which could imply r*pe, or just "damaged" which is more ambiguous. However, since Medusa was a virgin priestess devoted to the goddess Athena, it seems unlikely she would have willingly had the relationship, as that would violate her sacred vows. So most scholars such as Ovid interpret it as Poseidon forcibly r*ping her. And yes, I’ll try to keep the bg music lower from next time, thankyou😁💛
