Mario is the natural, called natural oak? Or simply natural? I saw another channel with ready seal product but he used an oak color that looks similar?
On Ready Seal, It is called Natural Cedar No 512.
I just looked up some other stains and apparently they now have a Natural Light Oak stain option. It’s No 105,

I want Pecan but HOA will only allow natural cedar so thank you for the vid. Lame HOAs 😢. Edit: is this fresh wood or aged?
Fresh wood, and that sad they won’t let you use pecan, that’s a pretty color as well.

Oiling the seams was not a good idea. Oil eats up the glue that helps hold the upper to the sole just FYI
That’s interesting, the mink oil I use was given to me by the Boot Store I go to and I have been doing this for years. They never come apart. I’m actually fixing to do another application soon. Boots are really holding up good
@@marioflores5949 they won’t come apart because they’re also held together by the threads and nails but I’m sure if you take away the threads you’ll notice the glue mostly gone around the edges. Usually oil eats up glue

Thanks for sharing - SO helpful! I went with Pecan for my pergola and it turned out so much more orange than I thought it would. For my fence, I went with Dark Walnut - much better.

Can I ask how the sealer is holding up? and in what kind of weather
I plan to go with a darker stain when I stain my fence again. The natural Cedar seems to fade within two years. I was told that it would be best to go with a darker stain due to the sun beating down and fading the lighter stains faster. A darker stain is said to last up to 4 plus years. I live here in Texas

But I wish I had. The Natural Cedar stain fades so much faster due to it being a lighter stain. I’m going to let it fade and then do a light power wash and then do the mahogany.

Should I stain the post before putting it in the ground or after it is up?
I wouldn’t, I did not use post. I used metal fencing poles. I then wrapped and anchored 2x6 around the pipe. I went this way due to wood post rotting away after while.
Thanks so much for the video. I saw that you could buy samples but I did not want to spend the money or time. But it was great that you made a video showing the samples. I had a cedar fence put in last month with a concrete base along the back part of my property that's along the alley. I decided to go with pecan. Something not too dark and not too light. I wanted a color that had enough pigment in it so the color would last more than a few years before it would have to be redone. Looks like you do nice detailed work.👍
Your welcome, and good choice. I’m letting my fence wear on the stain. I’ll be doing a pressure wash and then restraining with a darker stain. Natural cedar seems to require a coat every two years. Thanks you

How do you get them to stay secure without screwing them down. I see you keep switching the location also show how you install them. I can’t get them to stay together
On the video I was only able to move them around due to them just laying on top of the brick seeing they are L shaped. I guess you can change to Velcro or some kind of two sided tape, but that all Depends on what you are mounting them to. If you are mounting on a wood fence like I did, you would have to use the screws provided.

Yeah, it wasn’t like that for long. But then again I don’t believe Any yard looks perfect when the outside is being worked on. It didn’t help that a thunderstorm hit when I was in the middle of working on it.
Hi, am getting red cedar wood fence panels in my back yard, do you think it needs to be sanded, before I apply the oil. I mean it is required for brand new installation as there is no wear or outdoor exposure yet. Any advice appreciated.
It all comes down to your preference on the look. I kept the roughness on mine. I think it was a better look for me. I would recommend that if you stain to go with a darker stain, than Natural Red Cedar like I did. Looks like the lighter the stain the more often you have to stain it. I’m planning to go with a darker stain the next time I stain. It seems I have to stain every two years with a light stain.

In my opinion they all look cheap. Should have gotten a red cedar stain. Now that would have made your fence pop. I did mine that color and everyone wanted to know the name.of the stain. Try it on a sample piece. You'll love.it

Do the window go all the way down?
I have an 07 yukon and the window doesn't go all the way down. I also have an 07 suburban and the window does go ask the way down
