"if the writer hasn't really valued being understood..." it’s a great point, relevant not just for songs or art but for any created content, especially in Toki Pona. Beyond making clear choices in phrasing, it’s equally important to speak clearly. I’ve found it a bit frustrating when videos feature speakers who talk too quickly or aren’t very clear. In contrast, your videos are spot on in this regard. jan Polijan also does an amazing job in his channel.

Evildea had an amazing conversation, and I must say I owe it to him for encouraging me to truly dive into learning Toki Pona. Like him, I first heard about Toki Pona a few years earlier, but at the time, I thought of it more as an intellectual experiment than a real language so I didn’t feel it was worth learning. Then I saw his videos about Toki Pona, which reignited my curiosity. I discovered what a fascinating language it is, and so now I’m fully into it! :-)

his toki pona skills were quiet good. wondering if it's because he is more used to acquiring language using this method, or the fact that he watched it twice. but it was fairly good.

Very nice conversation. I think that in real life situation, jan Milo could use a paper and draw some hints to add to the context, which would help share the general idea.

Thank you very much for your videos! Your method of learning is very powerful. I've switched my approach to learning (or better to say acquiring) German by watching anime and trying to understand the overall sense rather than separate words, and it's working!

Didn't quite click as much as watching yesterday's video interestingly. But I'll keep watching and let my brain pick it up. Loved the ending, most unexpected.

Your expression of the characters does wonders to make the input comprehensible, but also musi! I could feel my understanding grow even within the span of the video. I look forward to watching the rest of the series ^~^

no clue what esun is supposed to mean but this episode was big for finally figuring out sina and ni and li mean (i think)

I think if you fancy them you'll notice them the first time you see them.

My biggest struggle with comprehensible input is getting to an intermediate level where a lot of CI content is pretty easy and native media still looks impenetrable. Do you have any tips?

i like how you repeat phrases to make sure the listener understands or doesn't mishear :] just as with the last video, i know enough words and grammar and along with the visuals, i understand the story! i've realized something-- even though i can express myself in toki pona, i do struggle with comprehension, so now i have even more of a reason to watch this. pona o tawa sina! and oh woah the soweli tawa's on the ilo toki while on a utala musi... i guess akesi kiwen wins :] (your sound effects are awesome lol)

im already familiar with vocabulary and a bit of grammar, i hope that doesn't affect the experience. i think the story's very fun and nostalgic, reminds me of some storybooks i read as a kid :] and then there's a piano??? i think i get why its there i was just shocked at you suddenly going "dan dan dan dan" AND MATH!

I watched a couple videos on Toki Pona over the years (mainly just the first couple episodes of jan Misali's new series, maybe the old one) I can't study languages I bounce off too hard, and I've been curious for a while. I'm excited to try this out and get a first hand experience of Comprehensible Input. Pre-watch i know you don't capitalize anything except for proper nouns, toki is good, ike is bad, and pona is language. I'll comment on the last video when I get there.
