Great video. Very informative. Out of curiosity how many kg/pounds of lions mane can you grow from one 8 litre bucket using 1440 grams of lion’s mane spawn if ideal growing conditions are met. Thanks. Also have you tried to grow lion’s mane in an outside greenhouse ?

Hardwood fuel pullets can be made from treated wood, or have been exposed to chemicals. They were intended to go into a furnace.

Can you do it in a later bucket? I can’t seem to easily find 2 gallon buckets with a lid for cheap.

Every time I make LC, grain spawn, or sub I like to go back and just check out a video to see if my brain has gone senile on me yet ;). If I knew someone making LC for the first time and couldn't be there to help would recommend this video.

Do I need a grow tent? Lions Mane grows on wood, if I grow inside my house, won't inhale to worry about spore spreads

What wood was the pellet Maple, Cherry, oak? I know some mushrooms like different wood for the grain, or does it matter in this application?

hi! i tried following this recipe, but it's not working very well for me; it's been a month, and the fungus is making very little progress colonizing the medium I suspect the fuel pellets i got are of a wrong variety; i got a bag of pellets from a brand called Traeger, it's been available in my local hardware store and had the word 'Hardwood' on the bag, so i thought it was the right thing What exactly brand of pellets do you use?

Where do you get all these ingredients? Seems a bit confusing to me 🤦

Can you do this with COW mushrooms?

Should we compress the sawdust into the bucket? And can we expand the bulk bucket to more buckets instead of fruiting or is the sawdust alone not enough nutriention?

Why dont you put big holes everwhere? It seems like you could grow a lot more?

So do you just throw away the old mushroom substrate after a while? How many harvests?

Edit - Found the answers to how many times you can harvest and reusing grain spawn: 1) ~2 - 5 harvests (each subsequent harvest/"flushes", less fruiting). 2) Sadly no you unfortunately can't add more pellets to keep it going :( Thanks again Spenser for all the videos, just subscribed! :)

In my country commonly sell pinewood pallets, which is not hardwood. If I find hardwood chips from factory, would that be alright to apply?

When drilling into thin plastic, it's best to run the drill backwards. This avoids the plastic cracking and splitting on the drill's teeth, instead using friction heat to melt through where contact is made.

Cool! Newbie here. Why don't you just add the spawn next to the holes? Doesn't a lot of it go to waste?
