Welcome to Quilting Dreams I am keen to share some of my quilting and craft creations with you including how I create projects including blocks, Quilts, crafty items and edge to edge quilting.
I love to quilt and have been sewing since I was at school I took a break when I had my three children and picked it back up 2 years ago.
I am a small business owner that sells Moda and Riley Blake fabric along with handmade quilts, pillows and other crafty items.
I love my two log arm machines the first being Miss Moxie she is ideal for the smaller jobs and then I have a Gamill Classic Plus which is perfect for those bigger creations. I offer an edge to edge quilting service and would like to share some of these beautiful creations with you.
I currently quilt for a charity that supplies hospitals with beautiful quilts.

Beginner Friendly Quilt in a weekend Tutorial using Camille Roskelley Rosemary Cottage
Join me for a tutorial on creating this Beginner friendly quilt from start to finish. What a wonderful quilt for a beginner to create a big quilt whilst practicing your piecing and gaining confidence with your quilting. If you don't have an embroidery machine this is not a problem you can leave the squares blank or get creative.
This is one of my favourite blocks and I am so super excited to share this pattern with you.
I used one and half jelly rolls and a layer cake (Charm pack would be perfect) but I think you could use a fat quarter bundle and you would have plenty. Fabric is Camille Roskelley Rosemary Cottage. I love Camille Roskelley fabric, it is just so much fun to quilt with.
I had so much fun with this quilt and was excited to bring it to life.
BASIC SUPPLIES
Sewing Machine - I use a JUKI TL2010Q

Just purchased this beautiful pattern this past year and absolutely so happy you shared it with us and your tutorial! I’m so ecstatic that I found you here 🥰 Thank you again and look so forward to see what your up to and hoping your business becomes more successful for you ❤❤❤
Thank you I really appreciate your kind words. I love this pattern. I have had a few months off over Christmas but I have a new tutorial coming out soon. Looking forward to 2025.
thank your for sharing i have subscribe to your channel now. i see you didn't used a wash away stabilizer? this wasn't needed?
Hiya, Thank you for subscribing. I generally only use the wash away stabiliser on towels and face washers. I don't tend to need to use it on hoodies and pillow cases if that makes sense. I don't know that I have explained that very well.
Have you used Red Snappers with your Moxie? What is your preferred method with your Moxie?
Hi, I haven't used red snappers with the Moxie. I prefer to use the magnets on the moxie. I was worried with the height bulk of the red snappers that this may cause me issues but to be honest I never tested it.
Always love the secondary patterns that emerge once all the blocks come together. Lovely.
Thank you. I agree I love the secondary pattern as well. I think that is what drew me towards this pattern when I first spotted it.
Lovely quilt
Thank you. I like how this one turned out. Super sweet,
How fun - we love all of the same designers! Nantucket Summer has been my favorite quilt collection from Camille Roskelley... I have been collecting Tilda but haven't sewn with it yet... I have a Tula quilt in the works... I've completed about 40 of Edyta Sitar's 55 birthday blocks completed... all of the blocks from Lori Holt's Bee Vintage... The only thing that I love but haven't seen yet as one of your WIPs - Kaffe Fassett. Do you like his fabrics? If I were not so far away (in the US), we could share our stash Lol Loved your video!
That would be so cool. Jaffe Fassett I have been looking at how beautiful the fabric is just recently. I am thinking of giving it a go in 2025. I love my sewing stash and all the time I spend in my sewing room.
I can’t get past the fingernails
They are bright aren't they. I love my nails and anything hot pink.
👋👋 from Midwest Iowa, USA. What a stunning quilt ❤❤
Thank you, I am glad you like it
This is a great idea! I have an embroidery machine with simple designs that I know how to set up.
I would love to see your finished quilt. There are so many options with this quilt to do what you love,
I am distracted by the beautiful pink nails! Just my color.
I love this colour it is one of my favourites, I hope you enjoyed the tutorial
I’ve always loved Camille Roskelley fabric designs and I love your log cabin variation. So pretty.
Thank you. Doesn't Camille just create the most beautiful fabric. So pretty
Amazing quilt! Just found your channel and Love your tutorial. Gonna give this one a go for sure. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you, I appreciate your kind words. I hope you enjoy making this quilt as much as I did.
Gorgeous blocks. ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank You
Oh my goodness. I have sooo many in progress! My mind runs a mile a minute with lots of ideas… then I burn out 😁😁. Yes my sewing room is a mess 😂
I am soo pleased I am not the only one. I feel I am the same. I am always day dreaming my next quilt and can't wait to start it.
So stunning! Great work. The block with the deep purple center with curvy accents also has the flipped hsts. It shows up again at 20:27. That will be the beautiful human element of the quilt.
Thank You, and thank you for letting me know I will have a look. I think I have a little extra character in most of my quilts.
This shows a wonderful way to use Tula’s fabric…..thanks for all of the tips❤
My pleasure I hope you enjoy sewing with Tula fabric as much as I do.
Great analysis, thank you! Could you help me with something unrelated: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
I love Tula Pink fabrics. Thank you for the quilt idea ❤
You are so welcome!
Beautiful.
Thank you, I'm so pleased you like it!
The first two quilts you showed are stunning! I wasn’t able to finish entire video, but wanted to comment on those two. Thanks so much.
Thank you for watching, I am so pleased you liked the first two.
In the USA, scissors depend on the length of blade. short with round tips (child's scissors) are allowed. So check with your airline and they should be able to clarify.
Hiya thank you I will give them a call and ask.
I don’t think there is anything for scissors dilemma on the plane maybe ask air hostess if they have something you could use. .I know WA side very strict
Thank you that is a great idea. I am back over next week I will be sure to ask one of the air hostess.
I like to finish the quilt top. pick a backing and prep my binding. Then they go in the go be quilted pile. Then I give myself permission to start another project. Somethimes I will have 2 going at one time. A simple one for leaders and enders and then a more complex one.
This is really good advice. My problem is I can't sew as quick as I see all the beautiful fabric coming out. I plan to get these WIPs completed one at a time in parallel to new quilts as well. Not sure how it will go but excited to try.
Thank-you for sharing your WIPS and some of the reasons why they are in the various stages of progress. It’s comforting to know the feelings and thoughts are common!
Thank You, It's keeping me honest I have now finished one of the WIPs, it's a small step but I am pleased it's completed and looks amazing.
Are you going to do a room review? Like what you changed and why. What's working. What did not work? You should! I have just gotten my WIP stack formalized also. It's shocking but I am focused! Going to the Sewing Expo won't sidetrack me at all 😅
Hi, I hadn't really thought about it. Maybe doing a room review is something I can think about over the xmas break. Thank you for the suggestion. I have finished one of my WIP so little progress but small steps. Good luck with your WIPs
No don't put a border on it.
Thank you, I am still thinking about this one. I plan to finish over the Christmas break.
I’m a,long time quilter but am focusing on making garments now since I lost a considerable amount of weight. I still have quite a few WIPS and plan to get them finished. Many of them are completed tops waiting to be quilted. I don’t have a long arm but have an embroidery machine that has a large hood so will try E2E quilting on them. I enjoyed your video and have subscribed. 😊
Thank you, Would love to hear how quilting on the embroidery machine goes.
Beautiful quilt, thank you for the tutorial
thank you I am glad you liked it
Love the way you’ve blended all these log cabin colors! TYFS🧡🎉🧵
Thank you, I really enjoyed designing this quilt with this beautiful fabric
Beautiful quilt
Thank you
Loved your video. I have 7 completed quilt tops waiting to go on my longarm but I cannot decide what to quilt on them! Indecision stops me in my tracks. Then, "while deciding" I start a new project and before you know it I have a whole stack of works in progress still waiting for a decision to be made! I know I will only be able to improve my long-arming skills if I push past my fear and just do it! But so far...I can't. Meanwhile...I thoroughly enjoyed your video. Thank you!
Thank You, I know that feeling. I love starting new projects. I get so excited about new opportunities all the time. Quilting is such a wonderful way to show our creative side.
I absolutely love this pattern, I’ve started collecting fabric to make it, I really hope you do the pattern for it, I keep checking lol 😂. I appreciate all the videos you do and look forward to them all. Thank you 🇬🇧

Thank you
I cut out a few quilts at a time and put them in containers so when I’m ready to make it I can just grab and go. Once I start a quilt I usually finish it unless I run into a problem. With that being said, I always have at least two or three projects going at once. Which one I work on depends on how I feel and what motivates me that day. Love your channel!
Thank you and that is such a good idea. I like that you have a few on the go and work on the one depending on how you feel. That is awesome
I work the same way. I love cutting a few blocks at a time from a couple of quilts so when I have a few moments or time slots I can just sew them. I keep them in baskets in a cubby so they are stored away as I finish the blocks or need to cut more. I sew what I feel so that I enjoy the process 😊 happy sewing
I always put on borders so I have a way to square it up before binding without cutting into the actual block.
Thank you I think that is why I put borders on most of the time. I also love how it frames a quilt
I have the same Tula Pink butterfly quilt with all the blocks completed but haven’t touched it for 9 months. I get overwhelmed by the amount of parts. You have encouraged me to get back to it in the new year.
Hiya, it's such a beautiful quilt. I am so excited that you will finish it in the new year.
Beautiful quilt, those shoes glow in the light ❤
Thank You. I love my hot pink shoes, I have a real soft spot for all shades of pink.
Such a beautiful quilt! I love hearts and have quite a stash of Lighthearted fabric. Would love to have the pattern! ❤
Hi I am working on the pattern. I can let you know as soon as it's available if you like
@@quiltingdreams that would be great! Thank you
Hi the pattern is now available on Etsy www.etsy.com/au/listing/1801963956/pdf-echoing-hearts-beginner-friendly-log?click_key=833f4293b771d30373520f676e984b281aefba6e%3A1801963956&click_sum=c9434c12&ref=shop_home_active_1 I am so pleased you like the pattern
I enjoyed seeing your WIPs. Mine are probably double… I don’t recommend this! I think I need to go on a quilt diet. My daughter suggested picking a different quilt to work on each day so that is what I’m going to try this week. Love your sleeping tip, going to try it! ❤from Texas
Hi Double wow that is a few WIPs but sounds like your daughter has given you a good plan. Absolutely try the sleeping tip I am so happy that it is working for me. I think I learnt the tip from one of Tula Pink videos.
First video of yours pop up in my feed today. I too quilted and then stopped to raise my children. Now that they are older I have started back to quilting, you look like you have more zest for getting back to quilting than I. 😊 Question, what is a gammel? Is it a brand name or a general name for a long arm machine in your country? Regarding the trip around the world quilt, no border! I love quilts without borders.
Hi I love craft it is really my happy place so I am so pleased to be back sewing again. A Gammill is a brand of longarm the model I have is a Classic Plus. I also have a Handi Quilter Amara a little smaller but she is so pretty. My Gammill is 20 years old but she works just beautifully I love watching my longarm at work. I am so pleased you have started back quilting again that is wonderful.
I think a border would finish the last quilt beautiful 🥰 - love the colours.
Thank you so much
The quilt around the world needs a border. Thank you as I have unfinished projects too, but they give me dream for the future.
Hi thank you. I think I have a lot of dreams for the future. I tell my husband all the time I am setting myself up for retirement when I purchase more fabric and patterns.
❤❤ thank you for sharing. It takes a great deal of courage to face your unfinished work and make a commitment to finish them. In our Quilt guild,, the challenge was to write down 3 to 5 quilts on a 3 x 5 card and posted in your quilting room. You wrote the same thing down on a second card and then it into our guild leaders. At the end of December you have. to show each of the quilts you finished, and your name goes in the drawing for each quoteyou finished. It is accountability and success, and we encourage each other. If you had a group of friends or Quilt guild,, you might like to do this as well give yourself several months and only pic of you that you know you can finish. I am like you and start a lot of new projects and have had to do a charity quilt and a baby quilt for a close friend. While continuing to finish wills. I Continue to get my subscription boxes of monthly banners and the sampler box, and I’ve had to put them on the shelf so that I can finish these others. I finished two banners, a charity quilt, a baby quilt, and Halloween quilt for my grandchildren this month.
Thank You. that is a lot of quilting in one month and all sounds so beautiful. I don't have a guild and working full time I seem to find it hard to find a group. I turned to TH-cam to fill connected with the community as I love all the comments and chatting with everyone all over the world. I quilt for a group of ladies that make charity quilts and I quilted about 8 for them this month and have another 10 I think sitting next to me to do next. I just love craft every project is so exciting from start to finish
I have had the Happy Go Lucky quilt too ready a quite a while. Glad I found a longarmer. It was a fun quilt to make!
I agree the Happy Go Lucky is an awesome quilt. So pretty
I don’t think I’d put a border on that trip around the world. I have several wips I need to finish, including one that has sat there two years just needing a binding. Mental blocks are real obstacles.
I am so pleased I am not the only one I am glad we all have a few WIPs
It’s absolutely stunning. I have always wanted to make a log cabin quilt block and what better practice than make this quilt. Lastly, for once I have all the fabric even enough for the backing. That’s rarely happens. 😊 I love this line soooo much and your creation is stunning. Thank you for sharing with us all. I will be working on this very soon!! ♥️🩷🩵💚
Hi Thank you I am so pleased you enjoyed the video. I really loved making this one. I love hearts and had been thinking about what I could do for a while and I am so pleased with how it turned out.
You just popped up in my feed and I’ve subscribed. I really enjoyed this I have quite a few wips I too get distracted by the shiny new oooh have to start. I have 6 tops that are complete I just need to baste and quilt. I do not enjoy basting. I’m always worried I won’t do a good job and the quilt will be ruined. ( yes I know I must work on that attitude) Thank you for showing I’m not alone.
Hi I am so pleased you shared that basting was always something that I worried about. The quilts are so beautiful and I know that feeling but I am super sure they will all be so beautiful.
