You look quite far over the yellow line...
So, there was no train due for another half hour.
37 regging away on the back - again. Passengers on this train, I was one, knew nothing about this until seeing the YT videos the next day. This was, without doubt, the most disappointing railtour I have ever been on, and all down to the choice of carriages. I have better things to spend ÂĢ400 on (travel, hotels, food, tour) so I will not be doing another one until fresh-air stock returns. Watching tours on YT is free, the seats are comfy and I can open a window.
I get where you are coming from but it wasn't like your average steam charter where the 47 is always pushing, the 40 had numerous issues and shut down etc so I don't blame WCR for helping out, plus I'd prefer the sound of a 37 ð
@@CDMTransport : As a passenger, it would have been nice to know the 40 was having issues - we were not told and we could not hear it to tell. They may as well have left the 37 on the front, as it was when it arrived at Crewe.

WHAT DID YOU GET FROM THE ONBOARD SHOP AS SOUVENIERS. Travel on the 125 groups hst's when ever they run an event on the Butterley Midland railway centre the last one they did was a 125 powercar 43025 at one end and D.B cargo 66654 the other end. biggest crowd i have seen at an event there for ages. we all have to admit the hst still is an iconic bit of kit.

Looked amazing but something doesn't seem right there. The 40 doing a good DVT impression with the 37 doing a lot of the work, it was the same all day from other clips I've seen. Still better than cancelling the tour.

My Great Uncle George was Station Master at Worksop , many decades ago I can remember when I went home from Canada standing on the footbridge as the trains went under ( I was 6 at the time ) The Master Cutler stopped there once to let My Grandmother ( who was a Councillor ) off .

EMU is Electric Multiple Unit, Class 68 and 88 are locomotives not multiple units.
