I reupholstered the seat but as it was my first time trying to get to grips with making a slideshow / video for my channel I unfortunately forgot to film the actual marking, cutting and fitting of the new leather. Hi was wondering if you could tell me the carb settings on your sym jet 50cc it's the cross head screw mixture screw thanks steve
No problem, Screw the mixture screw all the way in then I drew it back out 1 and a half turns, this should be what you need, I hope this helps.

Can you tell me where the cdi is carnt find it looked under the seat bucket . Trying to make my boys go a little faster. There is no restriction on the variater so think it's restricted threw the cdi
Just a tip for anyone working on a 2t scooter... pumping the throttle without turning over the engine does nothing, it does help on a 4 stroke engine
What is the size on the nozzles in the carburator, standard.

Did you change the vario bus or not ?
I'm sorry but I dont know what that is, like I said I'm not a mechanic and I'm definitely not an expert, the only vario bus I know off is made by mercedes and it definitely didn't contain one of those lol I wish it did.

Thank you for the translation, in answer to your question, no I didn't, for the simple reason that when the bike was done it was being given to my daughter that at only 16 years old in the UK can only ride up to but not exceeding a 50cc moped.
Might I ask, what country are you in..?

Is yours Jet alpha 100 coz mine is Jet euro X 50 the carburetor location is different & your piston is & cylinder block is bigger
Thank you for watching my video and your comment. In answer to your question, no it is a 1999 sym jet 50cc it is the original version of the jet series, although the placement of the carburetor is in a different location all aspects of maintenance and repair should all be the same.

Lol Sorry, the kick start mechanism was warn and loose, that issue has not yet been rectified but I do intend on replacing it, I will video the fix and post . Thank you for your interest and thank you for watching.
Hey! can you help me to find the chassis number on that bike?
You should find 2 stickers on the bike with the number on, one on the right side bottom plastics and one inside the seat compartment at the front by the hinge, I will check to see if it is stamped anywhere else and post an update if I find any, I hope this helps.
I have just removed all the plastics from the bike to check the entire frame, the number is stamped into the front of the frame behind the front wheel. Glad I could help.
Hi I’m stuck on the fuel lines I recently bought one of these cheap and the bloke before messed around with fuel lines and pump
I had exactly the same problem with the sym jet 50 I worked on, A good thing to start with is to make sure that the fuel vacuum pump is connected up right, you can check this by connecting the hoses to the pump and when you suck on the end of one, fuel will flow out of the one that goes to the carbs, I will upload a diagram for you tomorrow on how I connected mine. I hope this helps. You may also want to check that the jets in the carbs aren't blocked.
You may also want to check to make sure that you don't have any air leaks on the cylinder or Reed valve as this will also create a vacuum leak and stop fuel from reaching the carbs.
