Very helpful video thanks. Just a note… my 2022 Polo came with CR2032 in both remotes (from new). Are they they both compatible?

By the way i only had spare 2032 batteries in the house so i gave that a try and it works fine. Doing a bit of research it looks like i'm not the only one. They're identical to the factory 2025 battery except: - A bit thicker so a bit trickier to get in. I found it pretty easy by resting the battery rather than clicking it in, then shutting the outer case to hold it in against the spring. (I worry about it popping open again at a bad time but it feels strong enough so fingers crossed.) - Same voltage but a bit more mAh. (For those not familiar with electrics that means same functionality but lasts longer).

Hi my key had change accidentally the frequency ncy by itself from 434mhz (EU) to 311(US) is there a way to change back to the correct?

Thank you! After looking at a few videos for Fords, this the one with the same keyless entry thingy that I have 👏👏👏. Is it called a "fob"? Some looked the same but didn't have a key at the side & had bits to push in both sides to release the back. I don't know if the battery is my problem but will try that first ... Doors locking & unlocking at certain times, I will have to note exactly when they go nuts.

Thanks, just changed 2 Duracell batteries in 2 remotes (CR2032) in under a minute each at a cost of £4 (pack of 2), my local Ford garage wanted £14 to change the battery in 1 remote.

You don’t make reference to the battery polarity, not everyone will notice the - icon on the battery end of the CU board of the key?

The three pins on the opposite side of the battery which make contact with the battery have snapped of my key fob and now it won’t work,any advice?
