Hero Dirt at McAllister Park! | Polygon T8 Ride
มุมมอง 5712 วันที่ผ่านมา
I decided to give back to the mountain biking community by donating my first MTB to a local bike shop, where it will find a new home with someone who truly needs it. After the drop-off, I hit the trails at McAllister Park, and the conditions couldn't have been better-hero dirt made for an incredible ride on my Polygon Siskiu T8. I know I've riden the same trails at Mac. My videos are a journal ...

Yeah, people in San Antonio can't drive for sh!t. There. I said. Disrespect away... If the shoe fits...
I wish my wife was Ride-or-Die like yours.
Well bro. I found one. Road bike riding in my near future th-cam.com/users/shortsT8RSpDxLbwo?feature=share
That was way cool of you to donate that bike! Very honorable.
Hopefully, it goes to a good home.
Nice job Edgar! Looking forward to ride with you next time you come down
Thank you! Look forward to it!
That cement doesn’t look as fun. Back to mountain bike. lol. Jk. Nice ride man.
I've come to enjoy MTB more. For 2025, my goal is to ride a minimum of 1500 miles for the year. In order to do that, I need to get some pavement rides in lol.
@@EVT85I hear yeah. I’ve been debating/ looking at road bikes on marketplace but can’t seem to find one cheap enough. 😂
What bike do you currently ride? Looks like a trek marlin based on your vids.
@ its a fuel ex5, but had a GT aggressor previously rusted lotta parts, I made a big mistake…stored near pool chemicals. Fixed it up then broke the bottom bracket. Finally upgraded to full suspension.
Nice ride... At 14:47 that drop raises my pucker level to an all time high, but yall took like a champ. ha ha. Is there any place in that part of the green way (between Drury and OP) and that has you questioning life decisions?
We dubbed that the Greg drop since you took it like a champ last time we saw you.
Some of the downhill stuff at OP makes me question why I decided to do it at that moment in time.
Nice ride bro! One of my fav areas to ride
There's so much around Fox.
@George-Kliavkoff4Big12 We dubbed that drop at 14:53 the Gregory drop.
Looking good bro!
Appreciate it brother
@ no problem. Watching your videos helps me to improve my skills and line choices. Got lots to improve as shown on my vids. lol
The most important thing is being out there.
❤️❤️❤️
Damn. That drop is too big for your experience level.
Yes it was.
I just bought a T8 and I love mine too! Bikesonline was great. The price went down within a couple weeks of buying my bike and I was refunded the difference without asking. Then for black Friday they offered free shipping so I asked if I could get refunded for that too since I had bought my bike less than a month prior. They refunded the shipping cost without question!
Enjoy the T8. I've been enjoying it too. With my refund I got a bike rack from bikesonline that I'll be posting soon.
Great looking bike
Thank you!
At 5:20 there's a trail on the left. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Beats that windy and boring part. The trail I'm referring to brings back to the trail at 6:00 that leads you to the fun part of the creek bed
You're right it is fun. I have gone left. Thank you for sharing.
When did you get the bike? How was the experience with bikesonline?
I got it a month ago. My experience with them was great. Got the bike the same week that I ordered it. I contacted them about a question, and they got back to me within hours.
@ thank you. Bike looks great!
@@Farmhand2k appreciate it. Thank you
Post ur Strava links if u can. Please
Not loving the camera angle, it’s aimed down too much
Just ordered a preview remote for my Insta360. I'll be able to see where my camera is pointing at.
Whats that clicking
It must of been something that needed to settle on the bike. It went away and hasn't come back.
@@EVT85it seems the cable to me
I just bought this bike a week ago 👍 🍻
Have you received it yet? I love the bike so far.
@EVT85 sure .. i life in Indonesia .. where polygons born 😁 love it too 😍. 🍻
@POVSamir thank you for Polygon Indonesia 🙂
Probably not the fork. I just had this happen to me on my hardtail When you put the fork in and stem on, make sure you're holding the bike front end up from the fork arch while you tighten the top cap preload..when doing this the stem bolts should be loose on the steertube. The top capnbolt tensions the fork in to the steer tube and bearings. Don't need too much pressure. Maybe like 4nm
Thank you. I have no more rattling.
What was the fix?@@EVT85
@@KineticsRebornjust went away after 3 or 4 miles of riding.
Yes I did that wrong on one of my bikes before ….
Keep it up. Never been to McAllister, liking OP right now and Leon green way area
Awesome. Enjoy your rides 🤙🏽
You should practice track standing. That’ll come in handy as you start riding more technical trails
Thank you for the suggestion.
Dang thats a rough bike. An upgrade you can probably get is a Shimano Mega drive or whatever its called, its a cassette replacement that expands your climbing gearing by giving you a larger rear cog for steeper climbs. Other than that, I dont think theres anything else you can upgrade along the way, theres replacement parts that exist, but they wont be any higher quality than what you've got. I'd look for a Trek Roscoe or equivalent hardtail with a tapered headtube, 1x drive crank and 11 or 12 speed cassette for a way better climbing experience, also internal routing for dropper post is a must. Marin San Quentin is another nice hardtail, and I mention hardtails because at the sub 1k price point those should be the only bikes your looking at, they will most likely have boost size wheels, tapered head tubes for fork upgrades, 130mm or so forks standard, dropper posts, 1x drive, hydraulic disc brakes (uses fluid instead of wire cable) and preferably tubeless ready rims so you can setup tubeless down the road. Its great you getting out there and trying, but you'll find pretty quickly that a super budget off brand bike will actually become dangerous pretty quickly even riding off curbs to learn drops, the quality is still just not there on alot of offbrand stuff. Have fun, and dont get hurt.
Thank you for the tips. An upgrade is in my near future for sure.
@@EVT85 Heck yeah dude, look at a hardtail with Tapered head tube, 65 or under head tube angle, 1x drivetrain, tubeless ready rims, hydraulic disc brakes, and a dropper or at least cable routing for an internal dropper and your set, that could be a lifer bike, and if you want full suspension in the future when your riding double blacks and high speed downhill then look at that, or if you have sciatica or other nerve issues or back problems than a full suspension would be better for you but costs alot more, probably 2500 at the absolute lowest end of the spectrum.
hey im in sa i wouldnt mind riding sometime
Awesome. I like to ride week day mornings.

Have you experienced any issues with the oysters and the kayak’s durability?
it didn’t get close to that dark here 😢
That's why we had tons of visitors. Not everyone was in the path of the eclipse.
I have same kayak can't find the serial number
I can't believe you didn't put the seat in it. My OCD is driving me nuts.
Nice review! Just got two for this upcoming fishing season. Any experience with water coming up onto the deck through the drive well or scupper holes? The floor seems to get a bit wet when I peddle harder
I got the 10.5r as well but it gets delivered on the 18th. I downgraded in size from an Outback.
Thanks for the review! Looks an awful lot like South Texas!
Does it go backwards?
This one does not have the 180 mirage drive. I had an outback with reverse, seems like you'd use it a lot, but you don't and it has more to go wrong with the drive.
É recomendável para pesca no mar
On the fence between passport 12r and lynx
light enough to carry over your head to top of the car?
Can you use this kayak in saltwater
Yes, I fish saltwater
The mirage drive is awesome. If you do saltwater get the one piece hulls. This one is now a one piece. Just rinse your drive off afterwards and I always rinse my yak too.
nice
What is the price?
Msrp is $1649
Couldn’t get past the mask thing, awesome…
Have to cover as much as possible from the UV Rays😊
Does it have a reverse?
You can upgrade your drive for about $400-$500 more to get reverse. I declined that upgrade.
