Removed the AFCI circuit breakers - which are considered LIFE SAFETY DEVICES. Without written special permission from the authority having jurisdiction, that is a violation. A large percentage of the tripping AFCI has been attributed to miswiring. Has a qualified individual performed any testing to determine the reason for tripping. Just to let you know, the manufacturer will take the "defective" devices back to test them and let you know the reason for tripping. I also noticed very little safety PPE being worn. I'm stunned at this video. You missed all the positive points on PEX A and a few on PEX B. 1. 1:18 - The expansion collar has a ridge on one end that only allows one way install. 2. The biggest advantage to PEX A - all the fittings are FULL FLOW. No matter how many fittings you use, they will not restrict the flow of water. PEX B on the other hand, WILL restrict the flow as the internal dimensions are actually smaller. 3. PEX B crimp rings must be used with a Go-No Go gauge to ensure proper crimping. No mention of it here. 4. PEX A tubing can be kinked, and re-used after heating and straightened back. PEX B cannot. The tubing must be replaced. 5. PEX A tubing can be bent in a tighter radius than PEX B, it's generally more flexible. 6. Both A & B are pretty much freeze proof. They will expand to contain the ice and when it thaws, it shrinks back to the original size. 7. PEX A tubing can be reused. Cut the compression ring off, heat the tubing, let cool, new ring, and go! PEX B is one and done. Of course you can do it but you have to cut the tubing end off and make it shorter. Hope this helps. I prefer to use PEX A in all my installs. Much easier, the tools are much less costly, and you can't beat the flexibility. Good luck y'all!

Same issue in my old farmhouse out here in the boondocks. Previous owners updated the panel in the basement, updated some electric in kitchen and bath. Outlets in the rest of house are 2 prong, no ground.

Just watched a 4 year old video where Pex A and PEX B both using the expansion tool. Claim is the uponor tubing has a 10 year warranty but listed as 25, Zurn at 25. What’s the real deal and why can’t Zurn B be expanded. Was the other guy on crack? I want to run a recirculating hot water pump and he says Pex A fails versus Pex B. Not sure who to follow with this. I have the old poly in my 1992 house and plan on doing a complete repipe except for the tubing in the concrete where it’s low pressure. Otherwise I’m busting up concrete. Second story radiators yeah I’ll replace that as well and probably insulate.

Very informative video! I'm really trying to wrap my head around how I can tie Pex A into my existing coper system, without soldering. I'm getting materials together to DIY install an Eemax HA024240 tankless Water Heater. I had reached out and got a few quotes getting a contractor to do the job for me; however, the quotes were all very high IMO. My home has low water pressure to being with, so I guess in the case of going with Shark bite joints and fitting, the low pressure would be a plus. I'll also be adding in a Whole House Spin down Sediment Filter to prolong the life of my Tankless Water heater.

What is the box it sits on, is that to suck in the air from the house / recirculate air? What if that box is in the garage with no vents to suck air back into the system? Is that box below the blower called a plenum?

I discovered my subdivision in Ontario, Calif had orangeburg and several neighbors have had sections replaced due to collapse. when I started remodeling (1955 house) I had the entire sewer system replaced from the main sewer to the drains under the sinks and tub, lotta peace of mind after that.

I used to work for a guy that took jobs for realtors and they are some of the biggest scumbags as well as the guys that take their jobs. I quit the day the boss and the realtor decided to cover up a bad termite infestation. Beams and floor joists completely ate through and they were going to bondo and paint

too bad the bracing wastes tons of storage space. Could be fixed with beam to joist supports, equally bolted and plated like the rest of the deck
