Me encanta la historia de Supertuna: En diciembre de 2021 Jin se encontraba junto a BTS en Los Ángeles, Estados Unidos, en el contexto del concierto PTD, y se aproximaba su 29 cumpleaños, entonces decidió invitar a su amigo Bumzu a practicar el hobby favorito de Jin, la pesca, mientras grababa un v-live. Durante esta grabación comienzan a crear a modo de humorada una melodía rescatando el trot, una de las primeras formas del pop coreano de los 60´s. En eso Jin pesca un pequeño atún (tuna) y surge letra divertida e infantil de una canción que le regalará a ARMY por su cumpleaños y que muestra cuan feliz se siente al pescar. De regreso a tierra, Bumzu y Jin se dirigen al estudio de grabación y en 15 minutos, entre risas y baile, graba Super Tuna; tal como puedes ver en el v-live en youtube, Jin sale del estudio diciendo “hace tiempo que no me divertía tanto grabando”. Ya que la canción es un regalo humorada y que - en ese momento - no pretende cantar en público, improvisa con dos bailarines del staff una coreografía muy sencilla e infantil, luego toma una camiseta blanca y con un marcador le dibuja un pez y la palabra Supertuna, se la coloca junto a un enterito de mezclilla y van a la playa a grabar el video musical. Nunca esperó que la canción tuviera tanto éxito. Con el mismo espíritu, la tarde que regresó del ejército Jin contactó a Bumzú y a la medianoche del 12 de junio estaba regrabando Supertuna con la nueva estrofa que cantó en el Festa 2024 al día siguiente.
