Why Hi-Fi Rush is Best Xbox Game in YEARS
มุมมอง 36ปีที่แล้ว
Xbox's studios have been lacking for years now, but with the Bethesda Acquisition and the start of Xbox Game Pass, studios like Tango Gameworks have been given a fresh chance to reinvent themselves, try something new and contribute to an exciting new chapter for one of the big three. Hi-Fi Rush is the perfect example of that, being so different from what Tango has done before. Here I talk with ...

why is that dude wearing a mask alone in his room, he going to give himself covid? Plus masks are worthless
This was recorded in October 2020, and he was using a public shared room to record at college. There were rules to wear a mask in those shared spaces at the time of recording.
9 Academy Awards hmm not bad of a film I guess
Is one of the best movies ever made, that's true......but academy awards don't matter at all. Even if it hadn't won any award it would be still a great movie
Can anyone help me where to click so me and my friend can see each other while we walk, does it involve something to do with privacy?

I have played this on the Wii
alliteration sharp as hell 🤩
Best 30 seconds of my life
If you think nothing happens in the musical numbers or that the plot wasn’t advanced… you clearly weren’t listening or paying any kind of attention. Everything from important character development to furthering the plot occurs more within the musical numbers than outside of them. This movie is a classic and your takes on it have me questioning your taste levels.
If you didn’t like the ending , you kissed the point of the film.
The points of weakness mentioned are weak in themselves if you paid attention to the scenes . They were all there to explain how the mother was. In the scene where the 0late is broken Beth is in kitchen with her m9m and the exchange btw them explain Beth’s character.
Although I commend you guys for wanting to review all the best picture winners, I think your collective assessment of Ben Hur is particularly shallow, and you so woefully misunderstand _what_ the film is. First, it is _not_ a revenge story. Although it may have themes of revenge, it’s clearly condemned and seen as the downfall of Judah. Ben Hur in it’s essence is a Christian story of salvation, specifically Judah’s salvation, as well as that of his family. It’s in the novels original title, which is displayed in the films opening credits, “A Tale of The Christ”. Jesus Christ is the entire resolution of the film and you’re told from the beginning. The film begins with Him and ends with His redemptive work, with His presence hovering over it throughout. It is the story of how He saved Judah and his family (in the Christian sense of salvation). Judah’s arch is very effective and done excellently. He goes from being eaten up with hate and vengeance, with it clearly not satisfying his soul, to being born again with a new heart (as the New Testament speaks of) and gaining true satisfaction and solace from the only One who can give it. You can even see the moment when each main character comes to a saving faith in Jesus Christ: Esther quite discreetly during the sermon on the mount scene as she sits to hear Christ preach; Judah during the crucifixion after having spoken to Balthazar, he is looking upon Christ with tearful eyes and you can see his face pass from a shadow (you didn’t know was there) into light. It is such a powerful yet subtle way of declaring Judah believes and has passed from darkness to light! Also in the very last scene you hear Judah repeat some of the last words of Jesus and he says “I heard His voice take the sword out of my hand”. In that sentence Judah’s conflict is finally resolved, and he didn’t even know that his mother and sister were even healed. That’s the beauty of Christ’s work in someone’s heart. This is what Judah was searching for the entire film, even though he didn’t know it. And Miriam and Tirza believe right before they’re healed, both declaring their faith in the statements, “it’s as though he carried on that cross the weight of the world” and “why is it I’m not afraid anymore?”. The importance of these scenes and the overarching theme of Christ’s redemptive power may go over your heads, and you may sneer at them as being tacked-on or out of place, but to people who have a genuine faith in Jesus Christ they are immensely powerful, even tear-jerking, and the film never comes off as disjointed. Rather it’s true themes shine brightly through. Second, I respectfully disagree with your opinion on Steve Boyd’s performance being better than Heston’s. As someone who has seen this film many many times and assessed it countless others, Charlton’s performance carries the film and wouldn’t be the same without him. From the way he delivers the dialogue to the subtleties in his performance, it’s all fantastic. Notably with how he was able to convey emotion without words, using just his eyes and face. I’d say the second best performance would have to be Haya Harareet, but that is just my opinion. Sadly I think the religious aspect of Ben Hur is the reason many unbelievers have such a hard time assessing the film correctly. They see it for something it is not and fail to grasp the overall theme of Christ’s redemptive power, which is the heart and core of the story which stems from the original novel. For those who are Christ’s, the film packs a punch and its theme couldn’t be any clearer. I don’t know who on the film’s production team was a believer - I’d venture to say most of them weren’t in the true sense - but what they ended up making was basically the highest budgeted and most lavish Christian film ever, whether they were actively trying to or not. There are even rumors that someone on the writing team and Boyd tried to form a faint homosexual subplot between Judah and Messalah in their youth. If true, well, the joke is on them - Judah and his whole family including his to-be wife were redeemed, Messalah trampled into the dirt and dying in his wickedness.

Hi Bill, I don't know why people would think this movie is rubbish. I think it's a spectacular movie so much so I just bought it for $10 Australian dollars on eBay. Just one thing, Bill, it isn't Victor Mature it's Cornel Wilde
Who’s bill 👀

Yup this is indeed a movie review

Thanks for the thoughtful reply to our nuanced discussion about a work of art!
The Army refused to cooperate unless they toned down the negative aspects of the military, which was the whole point of the book.
Thomas Moore etc lived a life in black and white while Henry was in color. That’s what I loved. Wendy Hiller makes me weep every time I watch.
Try Wilder's "Private Life of Sherlock Holmes."
I suspect you don't like this masterpiece, because you are Americans and this is a VERY British film. It is a work that never fails to move me to tears. It also talks to subjects such as honour, duty and patriotism, which are anathema to a lot of younger people these days.
Different people are informed by different upbringings and cultures, which is what makes art such a fascinating topic to discuss! Thank you for your thoughtful reply
Ahh man...no room for Knack 2??
No lie I’m literally playing that right now
These kids are too young and stupid to appreciate this movie. They should stick to "Star Wars" or some Marvel assembly line product.
You guys are to young to aprisiate this muti Oscar winning movie. It was nominated for 13 Oscars it won 8 best picture frank Sinatra, and Donna Reed won Oscars. The funny part is you will understand and appreciate it in 30 years.✌️❤️
I really enjoyed it! - Tucker
Great conversation! I watched Terms of Endearment one afternoon on Cinemax. I was 15 years old- near the end My mother walked in the front door- I was crying so hard I buried my face in a pillow. This movie captures the Generational contrast- Conservative & Strong vs Freedom & chaos. Unlike today- The Adult world was observed not intermingled. It set the bar for “Tear Jerkers”. At times the vignette style falters- but delivers Ambiguity- life’s hardest pill to swallow.
The romance is there to attract the audience. But the film is not about the romance; it is about sacrifice.
Peter Lorre immediately captures attention. Great performance.
This is Warner Bros.' "Making-Of" -- a must see: Casablanca | An Unlikely Classic: Behind The Scenes th-cam.com/video/ED3l5fWzFio/w-d-xo.html
There Does not Need to be an " antagonist" in every movie. Not important here
I watched this movie today but it was really boring and I had no idea what the hell was going on so I’m watching this quest episode for a plot synopsis Edit: well I didn’t get much of a synopsis but it’s nice to know I’m not alone in my confusion
I Just learned recently about the son, and why he disappeared half way thru the movie. His contract was up! I don't know why they jhust didn't get anyone else. This is one of my favorite movies. You have very different experiences of this than I do.
As a lover of this movie, I am baffled by the hatred of this movie. Racism exists. Life is offensive. Deal with it.
As a hater of this clown movie, how can you love this movie? It's practically a parody with how cartoonish the characters are. The stories within are unfished, awkwardly progress, and don't really have conclusions. Racism does exist, but literally NO ONE talks like how they talk in the movie. Ludacris' first scene perfectly encapsulates the movie; he goes on some long meta rant about racism and gets offended by Sandra Bullock's character's displayed unease; HOWEVER, the film then immediately proceeds to commit to the stereotypes Ludacris LITERALY just commented on. This is a tonal disaster. And I won't "Deal with it". This embarrassment of a movie beat Brokeback Mountain. BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN! How?! What baffles me is Crash won over BBM, and it will always baffle me for as long as I live. Its victory is an embarrassment to film analysis, and the past academy should be ashamed. Bonus Round: This movie is impossibly stupid! - The movie hates Asian people: Literally every Asian character is shown in a poor light, or is shown to be a bad driver... wow. Stunning work. - Ludacris drops off the Asian people being trafficked in Chinatown (Because he's racist???). He added people to the homeless population... and smiled. Also his best friend is dead. There's no conclusion to their sto- - Ludacris' best friend makes the braindead decision to not explain why he's laughing in the guy's car, then proceeds to act like he's pulling out a weapon. They made his character deliberately obtuse just so he can die in the scene. - Sandra Bullock falls down the stairs and magically becomes Unracist... Thrilling writing. And the pacing for her story is so sloppy. Does her husband even know what happened to her??? Also, what even happened to her husband????? - Michael Peña... watches a man attempt to murder his child... and just walks off. He knew the guy. He knew where he worked! Do they have nothing to say to each other?! Also, THAT'S NOT HOW BLANKS WORK. - Farhad, the Persian shopkeeper, acknowledges that his door was the issue... then proceeds to try to shoot Peña's character because.....? But don't worry, it's all good. He explained to his daughter that he shot a child. She has no reaction to this information. Lol. Lmao. - Matt Dillon (As they said in the video) does his job and becomes Unracist??? He doesn't really do anything to make amends for his actions. We have to assume he's a better person. Also his story just kind of en- - Terrence Howard's character arc doesn't make any sense. His wife is mad at him, then he goes from 0 to 100 and starts picking fights in an attempt to die?????? Oh, and he has a wife that was just in a "crash", but their story has no conclusion. Why? - Lastly-
@@oros743 - Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri was a film a few years ago that was criticised in a similar way for the redemption of a white supremacist cop. The writer/director Martin McDonagh responded to the criticism saying, 'It's a messy and difficult film becuase it's a messy, difficult world.' In Crash, the racial stereotypes are there DELIBERATELY so that they can be subverted later in the movie. I found the key scene where the racist cop has to rescue the black woman who he molested as being deeply moving, not absurd because it's totally unrealistic. It's unlikely to happen in life, of course, but it's a movie which is dramatically making a point and I agree with that point that, in the end, we have to rise above our differences and see each other as human beings. That's the kind of world I want to live in, where people empathise with each other and don't instinctively respond with mistrust and hatred which is what the characters in this movie largely do.

14:20 i think I'm gonna stop playing this vid here
Y'all sound annoying, and y'all hating?
TBH a lot of y'all sound annoying though imo! Maybe all of y'all not trying to be overly offensive just giving constructive criticism
U made me more likely to c it for free at the river forest Illinois public library tomorrow, thx
In 1942, this movie was well received by the Black Community. It was praised by being one of the first films that portrayed a black man not as a stereotype but as an important character in the story.
Abram the jewish xunt consideres this movie confusing....Yeah..of course.
Let's remember: Neither Scarlett, nor the South, come off well at the end. Neither has a happy ending here!
(52:15) "Is there anything in this film that's critical of the South?" -- YES! And it's written in the story (and script). The Story IS self-critical, even if it's from the South's POV (and from Scarlett's Point of View!): When the men are talking at the Twelve Oaks Library about the upcoming War, Rhett Butler says "all we have is cotton, slaves, and... arrogance!" He's talking about the South! And he can also be talking about SCARLETT herself, even though he hasn't met her yet! Later, after they escape the fiery Atlanta in the horse buggy, he says to Scarlett (when he leaves her to join the Army, on the road to Tara): Scarlett asks him why would he leave her NOW? Rhett responds: "Maybe it's because I've always had a weakness for Lost Causes once they're really lost..." And what happens THEN?? The moment he says that, we get a huge CLOSE UP of SCARLETT herself listening to this -- and NOT GETTING IT!! Not understading it!! Rhett knows that SHE is a LOST CAUSE. And he knows that the SOUTH is a LOST Cause!! The Story KNOWS itself. And it is SELF-Critical! And it uses Rhett to pop all those highfallutin' balloons of Southern Greatness. Rhett knows that the South's Economy is non-sustainable forever. I could go on. This is a GREAT Story amazingly and beautifully told.
(35:00) This is Scarlett's story, not Rhett's! We follow Scarlett (she is the South); everything that happens to her, happens to the South. When she throws the vase across the room and Rhett pops up and asks: "Has the war started??", well, it has JUST started - but they don't know it. The internal War within Scarlett to get Ashley HAS just begun. And a minute later, we learn that the WAR (Civil War) has broken out. When Scarlett later says "Melanie, I hate you and I hate your baby!... If only I hadn't promised Ashley (to take care of Melanie and her baby)!!", it is at THAT moment that we see the Title: "SIEGE": both Scarlett AND Atlanta are trapped in a siege -- both internal AND External! The Theme is: Survival.
It’s definitely a ‘12’, Timo. I agree with you. It is also my favorite film of all time.
Lawrence’s love for the desert, it’s cleanliness, magnifies the flaws in his character. He’s a bastard, an outcast in British society, and did not fit there. But in the desert, he’s at home, reborn in fact, where he can finally find his purpose in life without society’s confines. Unfortunately, he also ultimately goes too far in thinking he’s there because fate made him the Arabs’ savior. Being given a white costume, clean in the beginning but soiled at the end, makes him stand out, godlike and reinforces his belief that he was special. The real T.E.Lawrence really had some real issues psychologically. The scene with the Turkish bey raping Lawrence brings that feeling of being godlike crashing down to earth.
Abram, at the end of the film, in fact the very last moment, a motorcycle goes past him, foreboding his death by motorcycle. His motorcycle death in the beginning is therefore a reminder at the end. Brilliant, I thought. In addition, this movie was made prior to CGI, therefore what you see is almost what you would have experienced if you were there first hand. The experience of this fact will never be replicated. I saw it for the first time in the middle of a Texas summer and had to walk out afterwards in that heat. In other words, I felt the desert it depicted and made the experience of the film even more memorable.
Dummies
The musical is based on George Bernard Shaw’s 1913 stage play “Pygmalion” I am sure that Lerner and Lowe wanted to stay faithful to the original material. It features social commentary but is limited by the times to create profound changes. I think that Eliza shouldn’t have gone back to Higgins. However audiences love a romantic ending so she did.
Omg … You missed the whole entire point & every aspect of the movie 🤯
If you don’t regard this movie as a masterpiece, you don’t understand film. It’s that simple .
I respectfully disagree. There are different ways to analyze and interpret film, as a the subjective art form that it is. I’ve been watching, learning about, critiquing and discussing films for many years, and I believe I have a strong understanding of film and my confident critical perspective.
