Man, I’m really having trouble maintaining the fingerpicking flow through the main lick. Could you do more of a breakdown on the pattern you use?

Thanks Man! I love this song. it is gong to take a boatload of work but it will be work well worth it.
Give that main lick a few days time! Once the muscle memory takes over for the main lick the rest of the songs really falls into place. Take it real slow. You know they say playing fast is just playing slow but faster!

Excellent tutorial. I learned this song to a point that I played it out a few times, but now I realize that I was doing a few things incorrectly. May be hard to unlearn some of it. One thing that I am pretty sure is off is the part where he sings "how he sings his blues so well", you have it as an F#m shape (I think). I went and looked at a few Wood Brothers videos of the song and I think OW is just doing an A shape. I do it as A7 shape. It might be something else but I am pretty sure it is either A or A7 shape.

What did you do with the f chord around the 150 mark?
Hi Tyler - it's an F bar chord, my index finger is bent but it's just so I can get more bone/leverage onto the first fret as I have my action fairly high. Hope that answers your question!
@@JoeKenneally yeah but don't you do some kind of thing? Like you move your finger to do something, I would call it a lick but it's something. Like are you playing the f with three fingers and then baring the e and b?
