Green Hawk Platoon | Publisher Announcement Trailer (2024)
We're happy to officially announce our new publisher! We're ecstatic to become part of the MicroProse family and to have some major support behind the project. Having played MicroProse games as kids also really adds to that nostalgic feeling that we are so desperately chasing with this whole game.
Green Hawk Platoon means a lot to our whole team and having the resources to be able to develop the game we've been dreaming of as kids is such an amazing feeling! Being able to work with a publisher like MicroProse is surreal! Our goal is to make a fun, nostalgic game that has a unique perspective and fresh look. We want to do it right and we want everyone to love it as much as we do!
Earlier this year we did a limited closed beta playtest, letting in a few hundred players to play the game for the first time. You played and you gave us your feedback. We listened. Since then, our team has worked tirelessly to address bugs, implement your ideas and expand the overall experience by adding new mechanics, fine tuning existing ones and polishing the game.
As always, thank you for the support! We couldn't do it without the passion and encouragement of our community!

Excellent work, I've been waiting for this kind of game for a very long time. Thank you!

this looks cool, but theres no pve or coop campaign. cmon how can you do army men fully voice acted and cinematic trailers but no campaign. will be keeping an eye out pvp could be fun since theres no methhead cod movement

Looks sick but ill tell ya guys right now before everyone complains about it after release i get what your going for with the esthetic of the muzzle flash but ya better fix that for the fps element doesnt look like you can see anything once you shoot your gun lol

Wow, the potential is enormous!! This reminds me of the dreamcast with toy commander. Did you work on the soundtrack coherently with the environment? (music from nearby radio, TV, sound generated by household appliances (fridge, external washing machine. activatable switch like fan, light, power cut, external lawn mower.. and above all think about passing through electrical outlets , mouse hole, conduit, piping this enriches the details which will make Greenhawk platoon a must-have!
Also save the grappling hook for a soldier class and create access to mount platforms (table, furniture, bed, etc.) using power cables against the walls, this works well on the FEAR 2 “Little Soldiers” map pack. Keep the fans for only passages. Good job!

can accurig be used to add a prop that has bones already and attach to the character? like attach a genital to the pelvis bone using accurig? or will accurig recognize it when you parent it first and then go into accurig?
Nice tutorial, I followed it for a halo character im working with (ODST Trooper) everything worked right up until exporting i just get a vague "fbx export failed" error. Anyone have any idea why this may be?
все таки ретаргет через copy pose from mesh отрабатывает гораздо лучше, чем если прикреплять MH голову к сокету головы оригинального скелета. Просто потому, что во втором случае к сокету прикрепляется не голова, а root кость MH скелета. Чтобы решить проблему в видео достаточно нажать на ноду copy pose from mesh и установить root bone to copy "neck_01". ps. А причина проблемы в том, что на каких-то костях, помимо кости головы, есть skin weight. Когда мы копируем анимацию с одного скелета на другой, то кости, которые не копируются, иногда ведут себя не предсказуемо и тянут голову/лицо за собой.

@@fidel_soto No problem :) If it's going to stretch mesh, take "spine_02" bone instead of "neck_01" inside CopyPoseFromMesh etc. It's absolutely better than socket but anyway It's a wrong work method. if you plan to work with your character for a long time, it is better to find a way to combine head and body into one skeleton.

Hi, RetroPixel! =) I have a question for you. I've followed your steps and for some reason my footsteps audio keeps playing even after my character has already stopped moving. I've followed other tutorials and the same thing happens. Do you know why this is happening/any fixes to this? Thanks so much!
change your sound effect. That is becouse your sounds are much longer than needed. Use 1-2 sec sounds and you must use a single sound for the footstep sound or it will keep playing after you stop.
