Do not take sleep for granted. For patient’s with type II narcolepsy achieving proper sleep is very expensive. Add severe sleep apnea and achieving proper sleep involves work and preparation. A sleep study should have been ordered before prescribing stimulants to begin with. The doctor then prescribed even more stimulants, again without a sleep study. Her condition could have been caused by severe sleep apnea and/or narcolepsy type II. Fortunately her doctor determined the cause. What would have been the outcome had he not happened to read the research paper? What if the doctor had read the research paper but his guess was wrong and the patient died?

My son was save the beautiful profesionales doctor of the universidad de Chicago, ,my baby boy is now 37 years young, before that we went through a ton of negetive diagnóstico, i thank the medicall profesionales, i will forever am gratfule, God bless all doctor , who take thier gifts ro heart, Gracias.....

My son's neurologist is Dr. URION at Children's Hospital in Boston! My son was born with life threatening brain injuries and sent home on hospice, he was not supposed to surives a few hours, much less 9 years. He saved my son's life and continues to help our family in ways we'll never be able to repay.. he also always wears a bowtie :) My son is still here thanks to him ❤❤

I was hoping so much for a happy ending as mental illness is a hardship for anyone who suffers them. I worked as a Mental Health Counselor long before I became an actor, and I got certified and became a MHC while I was dating a gf who suffered seven mental illnesses to better understand and help her. I became one to show I cared about her and wanted to be the best bf I could be to her and to be more understanding too of her illnesses. She did some horrible things to me such as poison me, stabbed my hand with a fork during dinner out with friends, even tried cutting my neck with a butter knife - all because she said she loved me so much she wanted to kill me - all of which was not her fault. Now it may sound farfetched to most people, but that is what can happen to those who suffer mental illnesses. At times she was like any beautiful girl here who was fun, creative, and outgoing, but then on those other days she would go from Dr. Jekyll to Mrs. Hyde without warning. There is a great book out there titled: "I Love You, I Want to Kill You!" That was a very similar thing that I went through with her in those days before I broke it off with her. Not because I lost patience, because I have perhaps too much patience, but because of the cheating due to the medicine she was on and I was heartbroken when most were with whom I thought were my friends. I don't blame her fully and understand meds can be awful like that; especially Lithium which is a powerful, yet awful anti-psychotic medicine that I hope no one ever has to take!

Figured it had to be the grandmother because grandparents have their own set a rules and discuss everything. Medicine is a dangerous thing and too much can overwhelm the body in little time. Children are so fragile and can't process the same illnesses adults can.
