it's my goggles footage , part of it is the compression from TH-cam, but this is what most drone pilots see in their goggles. I don't fly with an HD camera because of the weight difference.

@@1NSAAAN best place to start is in the simulator, velocidrone is a good one it will run on almost any pc. get a radiomaster pocket controller (elrs), it is relatively cheap and really high quality and you can use that controller forever. later, you can look into tinywhoops, small cheap durable 1s drones, and investing into a good set of goggles, the goggles are the most important thing.

thanks. walksnail is great, just the thing that lost my quad I don't want to happen again. when walksnail fist connects there is like a 5 second period where the video is not reliable; I happened to have a full disconnect mid flight and was waiting for that 5 second reconnect. I was clear of what had killed my signal and it was reconnecting, but I was also still flying forward the whole time. it landed on the kind of Government land where they shoot you, so I couldn't go get it. :/

@@greedfox7842 sounds like maybe the Graybar Hotel...🤔 Even if they don't shoot you, they may accuse you of delivering items to one of the guests via airmail...😮 I'm sorry about the loss 😞 Happy flying on the analog amigo. I use it on the OX-7. It's still a blast. 🫡 🍻.

could use a battery that big to power my charger while I'm out flying these batteries for 15 mins a piece, that would be cool, I could fly all day.

it was pretty cool, he was fairly new to the hobby. he was having trouble with his quad, hopefully we can get it sorted out. I kinda feel bad, he had his tinyhawk and its a really good beginner Bnf, and I roll up with my custom Ul3 on HV batteries twice the size and flex my overvolted powertrain all over it. and I really don't want to tell him that Frsky is bad, he already bought the Ts16x and a radiomaster pocket in 4-in-1 for frsky. :(

I'm sure he appreciates your experience based advice. One thing I love about this hobby is that there seems to be many friendly individuals willing to share their experiences and offer encouragement. I love my RadioMaster Pocket radio. If he decides to switch over to ELRS or CrossFire etc he could always buy a nano module. I've been looking at that BetaFPV ELRS Gemini module myself. I already have RP4 true diversity receivers in both my quads so I think it would work out well. Good on ya for helping out those of us with less experience. Really increases the enjoyment of the hobby. Happy flying amigo. 🫡🍻

do you mean this particular drone? or just "a drone"? because if you need help building you should go to Joshua Bardwell on TH-cam, he is the FPV know-it-all and has hundreds of tutorials. I thought about doing a short theory crafting video for how I pick motors and batteries, with math, to go with specific frames for specific purposes. I really like building long range quads, which is all about efficiency; I'm just kind of afraid to lose them or get charged by the FFA for flying long rang missions. racing is really fun too, and building racers is just as much an engineering challenge and they require constant repair.
