Riverside Unified School District. This community is associated with John W. North high school, but you can apply for a transfer application to Martin Luther King high school. As long as you don't live in the city of Grand Terrace, CA, which you will be stuck at Grand Terrace High School.

UPDATE: Effective August 1, 2023, all homes in Spring Mountain Ranch located east of Mt. Vernon Ave. is now associated and defaulted to Riverside STEM Academy high school (grades 5-12), which currently holds a GreatSchools' rating 10/10.

@@waltchan Wow that's great to know.. I am just not sure if the KB Homes in the Avalon community is located East of Mt. Vernon Ave? I am not yet fully familiar with the area yet.

@@7JC7 You haven't visited yet? Where you're from? KB Avalon is nearly sold-out, actually. Check out upcoming Pulte Homes' Summit Canyon community at the farthest east of Spring Mountain Ranch community. This one is defaulted to Riverside STEM Academy. Looking more like Irvine, CA each day. It's possible the new school built on Spring St. will be another STEM campus, but I don't know the exact construction date.

@@waltchan Just saw this.. I have visited the community twice.. I'm from Diamond Bar area... The Pulte homes look promising but that will take probably months before they even start building. By the way, are you bracing for the upcoming tropical storm? Is that Avalon acommunity flood zone? Also, are there plans of any shopping centers to be built in the area? (grocery/restaurants)

@@livinginriverside All addresses located in Highgrove, CA use the Riverside, CA mailing address, permitted by Riverside County. There are not enough people yet to annex it to the city of Riverside. Highgrove may be the new Irvine-like community someday with new buildings, and the only area with new developments closer to downtown Riverside. There's still up to 50,000 population left to be added from Northside to Highgrove, and the county is saving the empty land space for the high-income people to move here someday. Some streets in Spring Mountain Ranch look like "Isla Vista" of the Inland Empire, a progress in the making similar to the original Isla Vista town, next to the UC Santa Barbara campus.

@@waltchanIs is true that there is a new Loma Linda hospital that is being planned to build close to the community? Also, do you have any update if when the proposed new schools ( elementary or hs?) be built? If so, where will the new school be built?

@@7JC7 I'm not sure about a new Loma Linda hospital, but UC Riverside has school of medicine that is creating more new doctors in the Inland Empire, and stay around here after graduation. A proposed, new elementary school on Spring St. was already approved with a TBD date, but it will not be built until after 2025-2027. You would need to contact the county's government for updates. If you have children and need immediate good schools, you will need to look at Riverside's Orangecrest neighborhood instead. KB Home has two new communities there, Madeira and (upcoming) Obsidian at Citrine. Orangecrest is the present for today's needs, while Highgrove is the future, 20-year long-term planning with UC Riverside together for demolishing old warehouse buildings, and replacing them as a new college town square by investors.

Spring Mountain Ranch is located in Highgrove, CA, and not within city of Riverside, CA's boundary limits, which is open for a possible future annexation if population is growing. @@7JC7 It most likely will be a K-8 school, and it will be built before 2030 year. Nothing has been confirmed by the Riverside County yet. There's still up to 50,000 population left to be added, and the county is saving the land-space for the rich people to move here someday. If you saw one of my uploaded videos, some streets in Spring Mountain Ranch are known as "Isla Vista" of the Inland Empire, a similarity in the making of Isla Vista next to the UC Santa Barbara campus.

@@livinginriverside haha. ..thanks for being a good sport as I was clearly making a light joke with the first sentence although.. for us natives we always have and do think of those areas as where the wealthy well off red state/ conservative types live and kinda consider those areas as the proverbial "hills" if you will. Not tryna make it about race but it isnt like I was the first person to say it 🤷🏻‍♂️ And thank you for promising to showcase the other parts as I went thru all of your videos and saw you literally have 2 or more videos about the exact same sections of riverside.. but GLOSSED completely over the soul of the city. The south. My great grandmother moved to the hills in la SIERRA by the college from new York in the early 1900s..as did my father's side of the family too. At this point my family is 5 generations rooted in this exact part of the city and although I love my city as a whole ..the south side is deeply rooted in my life. And has came along way since I was a kid Looking forward to it!
