Have you ever had an issue with these, under DMX control, patched as one string, using 8 bulbs, where they all follow the first in the line, swapping over the first one doesn't help, they dont want to play pixel mode even though its patched as pixel and set to pixel on the controller?
I would love some more in-depth programming on the DS series with avolites. Or maybe in showcontrol, with dmx triggering through avolites!
Just bought the new t3 and t3 wing. There is no stand on the back of mine link you have in your new ones. Bought just this week June 2024
Hey, can I program like in the video an aliexpress cheap laser with dmx?
Don’t waste your money on chinky lasers they break easily
These look awesome and better than ones from Chauvet. Can I find a single review on these? can I find any videos explaining how they work? fit together? why do these videos not exist? I'm more likely to buy the Chauvet ones because there is more info out there I can consume.
Hey Simon, We are planning to do just this, we're just awaiting the new version of the processors from Abstract so it's what everyone who now orders gets. Our current ones are the original duplicators so miss the individual control and the web based control
Ok great thanks for the reply.
🤔 how about those encoder wheels?? 🤔 how about those new backlit leds?? From someone that has this console and a full-size D9.
I prefer the encoders on the original mobile to be sure! The LEDs are ok, just not fun in complete darkness.
@@kentmediagroup thx for the honest response. Only adding the new buttons are way too sensitive. I rest my fingers on the buttons so I don’t have to look at them. Way too many miss fires with these sensitive buttons. T2 buttons, encoders, and backlight leds destroy the T3. I use my T2 is what I still use busking
Agreed. The new buttons are too light and easy to mis-hit - especially when using the number pad for data entry. I could understand it if it was a necessity to get the size down for the T3... but they put the same buttons on the D9 @@josephjuliano7889
Just an update guys - 1 month after this video and we're getting on well with the T3. The new layout has taken us a while to get used to as is the less amount of playback buttons but we're now starting to re-map our shows and we don't seem to be missing much so far :)
Thanks for the video. Me too very curios about the buttons, faders and encoder wheels. They look a little fragile.
Great video, thanks for doing this. Please let us know how the encoder wheels compare after playing with it more.
We will do :) First proper outing over the weekend so we'll let you know how it goes
I was very much curious of this as well as the new encoders seem quite smaller
So a few weeks since the video and all still good, The T3 layout does take getting used to
Good news, thanks!
hello! can you explain how to synchronize the Titan with the show editor to be able to control the program with the titan?
Hi Daniel, Titan and show editor are two different control options, they do not work simultaneously.
@@kentmediagroup Thanks for your answer!! I understand, so it would be possible to control the Live Show with the Avolites Titan Mobile? to be able to launch effects already recorded in the software with the Titan Mobile
Hello could I get an indepth understanding on how fully understand the shownet software and how it ties in to avo please
The two are different things - Avolites is DMX control, ShowNet is network control where you can do much more. DMX with avolites just makes it much easier and quicker to get setup
Ok I understand so I would have to purchase the shownet software ok no problem there my issues is will it be compatible with the laser fixtures I have I have one that looks like the DS 1000rgb but it's a china manufacturer. Is there anyway I can get in touch with someone to talk with so after gathering all the information an knowing it will work I would make the purchase
@@sadekiebutler2501 you only need ShowNet software if your laser has the ShowNet main board inside or if you have a ShowNet interface which then plugs into an ILDA port.
Hello 👋🏾 how can I access the shownet software or is it on the lighting desk as well?
Hi Sadekie, ShowNet software (and ShowEditor/ShowController) can be downloaded from Laserworld's website. We have it installed on our lighting computer shown in this video to make it easier for us.
Cool.
Very nice
Hello, would it be possible to create a program similar to that of your video with the cs-1000 model? or better the ds-1000? I don't know which one to buy. thank you
The DS-1000 are shown in this video :) - it is the better unit of the two.
I bought one recently, and after I switch it on a blue light appears in the middle. When I connect it to the laptop nothing shows, but if I press on the middle blue lilght it starts sterilizing for about 10 seconds, then goes back to the central blue light and a flashing green light appears which I believe means 'low battery'. Am I doing something wrong? How do you know when the battery is properly charged? Help!
Hi Chris, Leave the unit to charge for an hour or so, ideally best to charge from a decent USB power supply than a USB port on a computer though as they often can't deliver the power that's needed to charge the battery quickly. When the unit is charged, turn it on, press and hold the surface on the top and it should start flashing and continue to do so for around 5 minutes, once the process is complete it will stop flashing and the cleaning cycle is over.
@@kentmediagroup Thank you. Will try that out now. Regards. Chris
@@kentmediagroup - Hi Guys. Yes, that has worked! Thank you so much for your help. I think I was trying to get it to work when it wasn't fully charged. Now that it is it seems to be working perfectly. Regards. Chris
@@SuperFloorshaker Fantastic news! :)
Beautiful tribute! Vera Lynn, an icon of Britain.
Great & clear run through of the system. Very helpful; well done!
yeah sure, but can you add weird stuff with DMX ? 🤔aside from just zone chase c:
What were you thinking of adding? As it's DMX it can be controlled like any other light fixture so you can pretty much do anything you like with it :)
@@kentmediagroup uhm I mean... different looks across numerous of Projectors, and can be put randomly or linearly across all the rigs without the same content being displayed.. regardless of zone chase fx and stuff .. as what's in this video (as reference) th-cam.com/video/6-kEb8vFqj4/w-d-xo.html I know they aren't using DMX for this.. but I just wonder if DMX can do really stuff like that^ Tbh, I prefer an artnet, or stream ethernet connection (for lasers) rather then DMX tho 😃🙂 Also, if you're a Pango, especially Beyond users, I'm sure you will know what I'm talking about 😉👍
@@jhrlasers Yep, that's the beauty of DMX as each laser has it's own address so it can output different looks or the same look that's varied. If you think of it as a Zone, you can easily do this with computer software. For us we used fixture groups in Avolites titan to select odd/even and top/bottom, the 3W in the centre was on it's own too. You can also select each fixture individually of course! If you were talking about adding more outputs then depending on your software, this should be possible.
@@kentmediagroup Ah.. I see But well, it's still limited based on the individual fixture internal memory of gobos right ? We can't make any change or custom creation tools just based on DMX, (it can, but it would require us to upload and store those cues and files directly to inside the hardware memory before on site rigs to play) Which I thought why just don't use another way (software control) to get more sophisticated tools to do more complex stuff and on site live control creation tools as well, aside the limitation of DMX ?..🤔
@@jhrlasers yes of course you'd need to upload the frame or animation to the unit first just like you'd change a gobo on a standard fixture or upload Media server. As standard there's a fair few animations and frames stored but you can easily upload your own with the admin tool.
Adj should come out with the white version on these focus beam led also double the power.
I think the LED power is great on these, for larger beams you'd probably look into the Vizi Beam 12RX or 16RX although they aren't LED
hi you can also set multiple zones of strength of the lasers, for example lower part 75% weakened then part 50% part 25% and full on. As you can do on the rti neo one
You can set and save safety areas although it is a little more complex over DMX. It would likely be best to go into ShowNet admin tool and set the safety zone in there and save it to the laser unit. This remains even if the unit is being used in DMX. You can adjust safety zones, geometry correction, colour correction, sizing, output levels and more which is quite handy.
@@kentmediagroup up to what size of space is that ds 3000 actually interesting to use? Especially the depth of the room before the beam fades
@@svdv5414 To be honest we got ours just before lockdown hits so unfortunately we've not had the chance to fully test it indoors. We have however used it outdoors for a single point scanning the sky and It was visible a few miles away still
I am hoping to control lasers from an ION XE console... Is this possible? I currently only have chauvet pars and Rouge RX2s patched to the console. And those obviously operate differently than lasers. I know its a pretty vague question... but does anyone know if I will ability (even if limited) to control the lasers?
Any laserworld laser with ShowNet can be controlled via DMX like this, it doesn't matter which console you use as DMX is DMX. You may need to create your own fixture profile as there probably isn't one already made for your console, once you have this you'll be able to control them just like we have in the video 👍
@@kentmediagroup awesome thank you for the quick reply!
Beautiful ❤️👍
God Bless You all for doing this!!! Thank you for not forgetting her and the generation that saved us all from tyranny...May God Bless you and your families... I hope to maybe shake your hands and thank you in person someday soon when this pandemic thing is over! Your Friend from "Across The Pond"...
So was the lightshow using DMX or ILDA interface on the units?
All via DMX, there was no ILDA used at all
@@kentmediagroup Except of course for the built in ILDA interface (the ShowNet) in the lasers ;) So the actual lasers are running from ILDA, but no external ILDA cables or interfaces are used here :) It really is a quite nice way to run lasers! I'm currently running my Kvant ClubMax 2000 with external ShowNet Pro interfaces, so just run a 50cm ILDA cable from the interface to the laser, not quite as convenient as built in interfaces, but almost :)
