Like the original comic story, XME would have focused on Jean becoming Phoenix in season 5 as a result of her mutation causing her powers to rapidly and exponentially grow way beyond her control (no cosmic force). It’s a shame we never got season 5.

Idk why everyone is so mean to 90s Jean for fainting. Can you imagine the amount of strain you'd put on your brain doing even half the shit she's done? It makes perfect sense that her body would struggle to handle it. I honestly really like that flaw in her powers, she feels too over powered sometimes without it imo...

how can people say the 90's show is superior to evolution... i watched both growing up in the early 2000's and the 90's version ALREADY felt goofy and outdated to me at that time, and i was only a kid. i even tried rewatching it recently because of x-men '97 but i couldn't bare it, meanwhile x-men evolution still feels fresh and enjoyable. people are blinded by nostalgia...

Evolution Jean hits different

Jean Grey was so powerful in Xmen Evolution; she was able to contain an explosion from a train of propain tanks in her forcefield. The best thing that ever happened to Jean Grey was in season 2 when her power started to grow when she trained with Xavier to control her powers Jean Grey got the full package cuz she was busting out abilities left and right during that season

Jean is only super powerful when shes Evil LOL
