Tyvek vs Everbilt house wrap comparison test - Remodels by Leo
มุมมอง 5K2 ปีที่แล้ว
I’m in the house wrapping stage on a build and I wanted to see the difference in Tyvek and Everbilt products. Reasoning behind it was that Everbilt material was very readily available at a low price but Tyvek was sold out at double the price. I wanted to see if the chase was worth the effort.
You nailed it! Thanks!
Thankyou very much from Alberta, Canada! It was -5 Fahrenheit today here and this 5 minute fix solved my problem. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
@@tonykennedy1615 you’re very welcome Tony! Glad it worked out. Happy holidays to you also!
I doubted this video after reading my control signal, just seemed too easy, figured id try it because ive got a 150$ service call coming anyway. Took the hose off the fan and the whole orifice was plugged with buildup. Cleaned it out and the furnace is back on. Amazing fix, super easy, couldnt be more thankful. Wife didnt even have to call my father in law. Great job!
Youre the man thank you
Thank you so much I was able to fix my furnace it was the exact problem like you showed
Awesome! Enjoy the heat!!
Filter looks plugged af
This video helped me. When I lightly blew through the tube opposite the pressure switch, I heard the debris release and it working fine. Thank you so much.
@@hangdog242 enjoy the heat!
This video is FANTASTIC. I had the red light blinking twice. Did what you told. But at first it didn't work though I could hear the diaphragm clicking.. Then took the second tube out and blew into it. Heard a gurgle. Sucked on it and a lot of water came out, obviously condensate which was blocking the tube. Sucked and drained all the water out till I could blow in and out without any resistance. Attached it back, the furnace went through the cycle, red blinking light went off, green light came on and now it works perfectly. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Ive told my wife not to call me an old fuddy duddy anymore.

Thank you so much for showing the process! Im a visual learner and it was awesome watching where the pressure swith was and how it was connected with the hose. It helped a lot that your furnace looks like mine as well.

Thanks very helpful money saved
My unit was not working. I tried cleaning the tubes and it works!
This is a great video and thank you for sharing this. I have found a bunch of issues leading back to either the connector hose having microtears of there being some issue with debris inside of it. I never thought to use something to also clear the connection on my furnace. I will try these steps today. Thank you.
@@darnellnathaniel1954 good luck bro!
Thanks Bro! This video got mines fixed!
@@C.C.Motorsports awesome bro! Turn up the boost for me :)
Thank you! Between you and another guy I figured it out. I cleared the pressure switch hose and cleaned out the other hose where the condensation drains and it kicked on. The pressure hose seemed clear so it may have been the other one. Thanks again!
Yep, guess it was just a dirty valve. used some thin wire and that must have done the trick. first i cleaned the flame sensor. that is "usually" the culprit. not this time. I did see a HVAC guy say your not suppose to blow into the pressure switch as it could damage it. just fyi. anyway, thanks brother!
@@jc2367 theoretically it could but very likely unless you’re deliberately trying to break it.
I just tried this it work for a minute my draft motor making a gridding noise guess that why it shutting down
Hey Leo. I followed the video and seem to have punctured through the blockage. Now when the furnace starts up, it whirs extremely loud for a few minutes before shutting down and blinking red one time (system lockout error code). Any ideas??
After researching all day long, this video saved me from getting scammed from all the con artist companies in Memphis! Thanks dude!!!

Great video thank you
i had a slight blockage in my hose. Great video explaining things.
Last several days in Dallas it gets cold but my heater ran but not warm up. I checked my furnace and it got the 3 flash code, pressure switch stuck open. I blow and suck the hose and check the ohm on pressure switch it is good (while making noise/open and close). I clean the little orifice with the little wire. This orifice creates vacuum when the small blower run. It was not operating since last winter and got clogged up. Problem solved. This is great video Leo.
@@sithieu9009 great job! Enjoy the heat and happy holidays!!
My man! Thank you thank you thank you. Mine was stuck and the tube wasn’t long enough so I got a straw attached it to the tube and exercised that diaphragm like you said. Now I have heat for my little boy.

You are the man bro my wife and I got 3 kids and my youngest is 6 months old aswell as my sister came up for the weekend, man my house was freezing at 67 degrees i figured out it was the pressure switch searched for a video came across yours and it saved my ass thanks Brother God Bless!!

@@jcfan3n1 awesome! Enjoy the heat!
Bro you have no idea how much I appreciated this post. Mine was not the pressure switch but it was where the hose connects to the exhaust port. The port was completely blocked. Had to drive a small nail in there to open it up and bust through the hard crust since a wire wouldn't budge it. Now working smooth. I have no idea how it got so blocked. Go Dawgs.
@@paulgipper1206 bro it’s awesome to read great replies that this video helped other people I have never even met! Very happy it worked and that you are warm. Happy upcoming holidays!
Thanks! This fixed my problem also. I suspect likely debris getting down in the inducer fan from the roof vent. I also found dead wasps and debris visible in the heat unit when I removed the cover.
@@globewalker99 glad you got it working! We had some debris in our unit also and that orifice gets clogged about once a year.

Great video. Fixed my problem
Housewrap is breathable not waterproof. Once you have siding on your house and it's done correctly you should not have water penetrating your wrap.
This saved me, winter is here and I've been scammed so much by repairmen. This was my exact problem. Thank you so much.
Reaming the male connector to the fan fixed the issue. If anyone knows what the build up is please post in the comments.
Worked for me. Thanks!!

So I just changed out my pressure switch. For what ever reason as soon as my furnace has a call for heat the main blower turns on and won’t shut off I am at a complete loss here and I have absolutely no idea what to do
Dude! Thank you!!! this totally worked for me. I feel like every other year I find a new piece to my furnace to troubleshoot and I will now add this to my list. 😃
@@derstaubsauger6894 very glad this video helped another person. You’re very welcome my friend.
Hi Leo, I live in Ojai, CA, and woke up to no heat yesterday. I was able to fix the problem and your video was a big part of that, so thanks a lot. Turns out the line going to the pressure switch was bitten in two by a rodent, probably a rat. I bought a $1.39 brass coupler at ACE to join the hoses and that seems to be the fix. I did test the power to the igniter with my multimeter as you suggested, and there was no power. Evidently, when there is a problem with the pressure switch the control board likely cuts the power. @@PeterThielke awesome Peter! Enjoy the heat!
Great job. You helped me save hundreds. That was exactly what was wrong with mine. Thank you for taking the time.
This worked! The simple instructions you provided allowed me to “exercise” the pressure switch which got the furnace running. Thank you!
